Some facts here
@@GuyInBlackClothes neasi 🇨🇿❤️
"Do you think when the Americans get up here they might be a little bit cross with us" - Some Random German Soldier - 1944
I saw an interview with a German soldier. He said when he saw the invasion fleet come over the horizon he knew the war was lost. 'If you see a blue plane it's American, if you see a white plane it's British and if you don't see anything it's the Luftwaffe.'
@@Arigator2 @Drop Forged America is protective of Canada, we must defend their maple syrup at all costs! Germany was screwed when it invaded the Soviet Union it would just take longer, and it was REALLY screwed when it declared war on the US who's mainland was mostly out of reach of Germany and it could just keep pumping out war goods uninterrupted.
The choice of words is very characteristically British xD
"Yeahh, I reckon they might be a bit cross"
@@Arigator2 he saw numbers, the Americans were horrible tactically. He was fearful of numbers not the Americans 😊
@@isaiasgonzalez2271 Germany uses superior force to win: get good noobs. Germany gets defeated by superior force: cheaters.
America was the best. 12 to 1 against Japan and a positive ratio against Germany. On the attack during a two front war a continent away in opposite directions. Greatest military feat ever accomplished.
Only missing the cartoonishly evil SS commander having an argument with the misslead but heart-of-gold Wehrmacht officer over prisoners or something.
Would have a laugh if it was the SS commander asking the wehrmacht soldiers not to exert revenge.
"Come on guys, why so much hate. That poor american soldier was only doing his job. Take it easy"

8:33.... the absolute climax of Saving Private Reinhart, that hat throw is Oscar worthy
It made us all laugh, which you can just catch if you look carefully.
They learn from Russians. "Shapkami zakedaem" - "Burrow them with hats."
If they did a Russian version of Saving Private Ryan, it would be 1 minute 40 seconds long.
It would be a single soldier informing the commisar about the missing brother and replying with, "so, and?"
Then it ends with the commisar ordering the execution of the soldier for wasting his time, then shoots the guy that shot him, then himself.
It's funny you should say "So, and?" - Because that was the exact vibe that spawned this entire video. Thus, the character of the psychopathic Major came in.
Gotta love Communism. Human beings are expendable.
@@SquireComedy you guys are amazingly creative, love your videos they’re hilarious 👍

German eastern front Vet: First Time?
For a lot of them, yes
In fact I recall that basic training was cut down to 6 weeks so they essentially went straight from basic training to prepare for the invasion and then got shot inside the landing craft/drowned/or hit with mortars
@@wisemankugelmemicus1701 Eisenhower wanted green troops in the initial waves--vets would know what kind of shitstorm they were wading into, and with the expected casualty rates of the first few waves, it made more sense to burn less valuable green troops (while making slower initial progress) than their veterans.
The exceptions were the Ranger units, whose leadership, at least, had received additional training and were experienced. Overall, though, the initial waves were basically there to exhaust their ammunition supplies and overheat the barrels on their MG42s.
Horrible calculus, but...necessary.
@@gpweaver Not remotely true. While the majority of Omaha was assaulted by the inexperienced 29th Infantry Division, battle hardened troops from the 1st Infantry Division and 4 US Ranger Battalions aided them, as well as Navy Seebees and even a couple tank battalions.
They simply used the resources at hand as were necessary to best complete the mission, as well, sending troops to “exhaust the German ammunition supply” runs counterintuitive to how the Germans operated, and it would actually be very arrogant to assume that they would operate any differently just because of the stress of combat whatever - because German machine gunners were actually trained to conserve ammunition, firing in 5-7 round bursts at a time. From the memoirs of both US and German veterans we know this didn’t happen, but it would be ignorant to presume that it would.
@@wisemankugelmemicus1701 You're right, I was being a bit hyperbolic, but basically, the 116th RCT of the 29th went in first on the Western end (Able company being the only one to land its assigned area; Easy was scattered on the Eastern end in the 1st Infantry's area, George ended up way to the East of Able.) Able, being in Dog Green and next to the line of bunkers providing enfilade fire along the length of the beach, were cut to pieces in minutes; the Rangers next to them didn't do much better.
(Contrary to the way it appears in 'Saving Private Ryan', the Germans weren't so much shooting "straight down" on the debarking troops from the bunkers, as shooting across at them from their side as they tried to rush for cover across the open span of the beach. The pillboxes covering Dog Green, however, were somewhat elevated in the cliffs, as the terrain on the West end of the beach rises quickly.)
@wisemankugelmemicus1701
Actually, most of Omaha was assaulted by the 1st Infantry Division, a few elements of the 29th, the 5th Ranger Battalion, and either 1-3 companies of the 2nd Ranger Battalion. The US only had 3 Ranger battalions after February 1944 because the 1st, 3rd, and 4th Ranger battalions sustained heavy casualties at the Battle of Cisterna at Anzio and were inactivated. After that, we had the 2nd and 5th battalions in Europe and the 6th in the Pacific, notably at the Philippines.
The Captain would never visit Private Reinhart's grave as his body was misidentified due to his German issue dog tags only containing his Unit Number and fell victim to the common mistake of German troops accidentally switching theirs. Not that he tried though, he spent the remainder of his life Hiding in Argentina
LOL. I'm from Argentina and part of my family fighted against the allies in France 1944 (italians, not germans).
If by "hiding" you mean living in a mountain village a German name, with German architecture, with German-speaking German inhabitants, under his own name, walking about openly without a care or qualm, giving interviews to foreign newspapers, and occasionally visiting West Germany with no hassles
He hid in Argentina? Let me guess, a little parish out in the middle of nowhere, and eventually elected as Pope to replace a _known_ National Socialist of Deutschland? 🤣
The guy who played that major did a brilliant job. Obviously tongue-in-cheek but somehow still terrifying.
Is not Zelensky? Thought it was.
