It’s an accurate depiction of the use of dumb fire rockets during the war. You can read a lot of reported kills of tanks and armoured vehicles by all nations who used that and explosive cannons on aircraft. The main problem was that they would create so much smoke and dust that there was no way to visually confirm the kill, so they just counted it. So the paper says they performed very well, when in reality they were not that good. Reminds of that one story of a German tank that shot down a soviet attack aircraft with their main cannon, all because the attack aircraft could not pen the tank and so was more of a nuisance than a threat. The validity of the account is kinda hard to determine so we take the story with a brick of salt

This one determines whether the main gun's firing circuit is powered by the main batteries, or the backup battery on that same circuit board. The grey box below the metallic switch is a socket box. The gunner (Olly) is supposed to plug his headphones and microphones into it. The item behind Olly's head is a window. The number "8" on it is part of the checklist for sealing the turret for full submersion of the vehicle. The window is sealed by tightening up two little wheels, one of which is visible. The window frames are hinged so that the glass block can be swapped out if shattered. At extreme left of the image there is a foldaway arm with a little locking wheel at the bottom. This can be folded out to hold the classic German "scissors scope". The black shaft to our right drives an indicator ring that runs all around the cupola. The ring remains facing forward even while the turret rotates. Clock numbers are painted on it, so the commander can read and call out directions that the driver will understand. The cupola was removable and you can see some of the ten bolts that hold it. After some unfortunate incidents this was increased to fifteen bolts.
The holder numbered "9" is supposed to hold the sealing plug for the gun port in the wall, which is somewhere under it. I believe this tank's plug is lost; I've never seen it since the as-captured photos.
Now, just throw a gritty blue-ish shade over everything and you're going to get an oscar.
Hey mr Squire, I still remember the old Players highlights videos, your commentary was hillarious back than (and it still is). I see you made really good progress over the years, the peak I think was when you and your friend actually showed on screen with all those numerous characters. Your came from a youtuber to become an actual content creator, congratulations and greetings from Czechia :)
"That's seven tanks destroyed! Back to base!" I woke up my upstairs neighbor laughing at that.
Incidentally, truly get video. Not only is it well produced, its also funny and as far as I can tell, accurate. Well done there!
I just spat beer on my phone laughing , 'for all the shit they done , there uniforms look great ' gold as always , even if you hate the Bolton Paul defiant
We really need a "Chieftain reacts to..." video reacting to this now! Well done with the Firefly at the end, love it.
"God for all the shit they done, their uniforms are fucking great!!!" 🤣
"Actually, I don't know why we're here without support."
Every German watching the movie.
I remember thinking “WTF?” When the Tiger charged.
I remember thinking it made sense because when you have smoke in your face it gives the enemies a chance to flee or flank you.
@@KillerT-Bone smoke works both ways. I would have killed as many as I could from concealment, and then backed out and lived to fight another day.
@@Abbeville_Kid and while you're sitting in the smoke, the Shermans flee, then give your position out to Allied aircraft, the next minute your tank is strafed by P-47s.
@@KillerT-Bone bring it on.
@@Abbeville_Kid so you would of just run because you can't see the enemy from inside smoke
So the Tiger has an Otto-loader? 😂
I can't imagine what you could do with a real Hollywood budget. I see something along the lines of Saving Private Ryan meets Black Adder.
So more like Kelly's Heroes with slightly more drama and a few more British accents then?
@@josephahner3031 I would watch that. Then buy the DVD and watch it again!
Yes, this should happen. What a cunning plan
At least in this version the local french farming community fence is safe
If i had a nickel every time Squire uploaded a video while I was at universal studios, I would have 2 nickel. Its not much, but its weird it happened twice
0:15 …Brad Pitt would have survived for 3 minutes and 42 seconds into the movie.
"Wuush...wuush...badadadadada" 🤣
If Wardaddy was a good tank commander
Edit: That 76 M4A1 had the chance to shoot again, not to mention he was already at range to kill the tiger
Thank you, Squire. I always look forward to seeing your work.
"Sleepy old town of Dresden" lol.
1 tip with the beret, the cap badge is meant to be on the left side of the face (about above the left eye), its meant to be 1-2 fingers width above the eyebrows and not pulled down the back of your head - just sitting on top, and the right side is curved down.
never confuse a good story with facts.
Love this chapter . Thans Squire and team.
Wow, you guys actually managed to get the set of Red Dead Redemption 2 for the Guns Up advert! Must have drove the production costs up by an absolute fortune.
The Firefly at the end killed me 🤣😂🤣
One of my fav documentary channels!
By God the sheer volume of references that don't even get a wink or a nod, they're just there, is awesome
How the hell does Squire keep using the same movie scene and still make content that keeps getting better.
Firefly Commander: "Penetrate that Tiger in the rear!"
Tiger tank commander: "Oh you are awful, *slaps firefly commander* but I like you."
this is the comment I was looking for
No different than HRP making parodies for 14 yrs
Mans walked up to a cartoon tank and the tank talked back with an echo 🤣🤣🤣🤣. God I love their videos!!
This channel has become a thing of beauty and I love it

Thank you! I don't know how many times people forget how important tea is after a battle, shesh!
absolutely, the dunkirk 'evacuation' was only because some fool forgot the tea!
Another great vid, keep 'em coming!
Someone's been watching "The Great Tank Destruction Myth" by Military Aviation History
*laughs in Sherman firefly*
*Laughs in tiger engine issues
*Laughs in tiger transmission issues
*Laughs is tiger suspension issues
*Laughs in Americas modern MBT having a German main gun*
They _are_ just better at this kind of stuff.
Dam I love the tiger
The Tiger being alone isn’t very unrealistic
Broken down unit structures and contextually sized patrolled
It’s only uncommon to find one or two tank sized units
Don’t know why people keep citing that
Wow! That cardboard Tiger looks almost real!
Well...
Better Graphic’s Card.
The jolly good Firefly wins the day
In a realistic battle the tiger would have destroyed all the tanks
Glad you guys showed up in my feed!
Hilarious!
Damn the loader deserves an oscar
This reminded me of the good old days of Red vs Blue
- Ah, just like 1940 isn't it?
- Uh? This is nothing like school.
XD
Firefly : Sniper extreme
Firefly in WoT : Bounce bounce bounce bounce .ect
This realistic version of Fury was so unrealistic, that it boggled my mind... had a laugh. Good job.
'I was first out of the Academy... before it was bombed!'
Classic! This is funnier than a lot of comedies I've seen lately! (Yeah, Fired on Mars, I'm looking at you!)
4:04 should've stayed in dresden then 😅
"I didn't leave Dresden to sit around, I wanna see explosions!"
"You needn't have left"
Savage
6:53 I agree about the german uniforms
"I didn't leave my sleepy home town of Dresden to sit here and do nothing. I want to see explosions."
Cursed dialog lol
Beeing inside Tiger 131 wearing a dashing black Panzer Wrap, now you can´t go more authentic than that, besides that past 10 minutes were more realistic than whole Fury Movie thing. Good show Lads!
>> "you can´t go more authentic than that"
They could have put on headsets....
@@daveybyrden3936 agree, but let's not split hairs
