UPDATE: Here's part two, chaps. On time and everything! ua-cam.com/video/kQaC3zSu_fU/v-deo.html
1st comment like :)
Quite funny - but the commercial intro might have been funnier than the actual bit!
Much obliged old chap.
i suppose now youll want the DFC or something. (checks budget) heres a 1/72 scale hurricane.
Yeeeeeeeeessssssssss
having a vtol jet instead of a normal one just made the story so much more different
Now imagine they were dogfighting MiG-38's instead of "MiG-28"s
@@shrk128 I think you mean Yak-38. Not sure why'd they dogfight a motor yacht. Or how.
Let’s just say the boat has a hidden jet engine in the hull…
Not sure how you’d steer that.
@@Starjumper2821 well the u.s.s.r did try to make a flying tank. So why not a flying yacht?
@@theyalesubrailfan1849 i think you were supposed to reply to the other guy @starjumper2821
The fact they already look like Mav and Goose, makes this 10x better
I think you mean duck
That’s what I’m saying! They look exactly like their American partners
I remember a few years ago there was a problem with one of the RAF's old Nimrod AWAC aircraft. When I say problem I mean a bit fell off, exposing a sizable hole in the side of the aircraft's fuselage. The crew fixed the problem by wedging a teapot into the gap. As noted at the time, this was perhaps the single most British resolution to a flight problem ever.
A good tup of tea solves any problem☕☕
Operation Black Buck had a few teapot-adjacent anecdotes.
If it was the Us it would be duct tape, the radar will detect three bits of ductrape
Man these British films are good.
ua-cam.com/video/2WWRHxgGsjc/v-deo.html
And cheaper than their American counterparts...much cheaper.
Probably too cheap.
The perfect brrritish video
@@TheInfidel_SlavaUA best county, change my mind
@@SquireComedy How is it cheaper? The sten gun was on high graphics mode this time!
The bicycle scene, and the WWII instructor really put this one over the top buddy. Well done!

6:00 Carrier's over there! How could you miss it? It's the size of an aircraft carrier!
Had me dying of laughter
08:38 "You're the top 75% of naval aviators, and we'll make you slightly better" _LMAO_
Well, they're British so they're nearly the size of an aircraft carrier.
This video is a two-parter. Yes, the first video we've ever decided to split into separate uploads, purely because of the time it took to produce even half of it. Hundreds of man hours have gone into replicating an utterly rubbish version of a questionable film. Still, it was a laugh. Expect part two in a few days...when we've spent a few more late nights finishing the final edit. Stepping off the box that Tom Cruise used to increase his height at 10:38 has to be the best joke in here.

@Jacky138 - That made me laugh, so much so I spat water. Mind if I use it?
Don't you Brits say something like "For Queen and fatherland!" ?
@@yesyesyesyes1600 "Queen and Country." mostly. Or Blighty from the Royal Flying Corps - days. (Showing my age now!)
The Royal Navy actually used to have a similar set-up to "Top Gun", called the Air Warfare Instructor (AWI) course, based at RNAS Lossiemouth if I remember correctly.
In fact the AWI course pre-dates the creation of Top Gun, and depending on who you believe Top Gun may have been based (in part at least) on the AWI course (certainly AWI-qualified Phantom pilots from the Royal Navy were on exchange at Miramar around that time, and I believe a quote from one of them was used as a preface to the syllabus).
I've heard the British theory over the years and so far it seems that it isn't entirely accurate, there were exchange pilots for sure but those pilots said they didn't help with the syllabus after The Daily Telegraph had piped up in '08 with a story about it. The US side of the story involved a stolen modular trailer and a bunch of wild F-4 aviators with borrowed aircraft from whatever squadron wouldn't complain about it. More info is available in Dan Pedersen's book, who was the "Godfather of TopGun" and the first officer-in-charge of the school.
thought the british also participated in the top gun program in the us as well since being exposed to many different aircraft, tactics and piloting types is kind of the point
Something resembling Top Gun existed in WWII. Top Gun (Naval Fighter Weapons School) has been merged with the Naval Attack Weapons School (or whatever it's called) since they now use the same planes and pilots. The school is now in Fallon, Nevada, the polar opposite of Miramar in terms of off-base recreation.
Wouldn't surprise me. Alot of our naval traditions come from England.
Britain had the first and most realistic “Top Gun” training ever, it was called The Battle Of Britain.

The Chiken Run theme at the start really made the scene 😂

Bravo!
6/10 not all the aircraft sound like stuka sirens
And lack of ketchup as blood
These things are noted for part two. I'll try and work on something.
I can't imagine the effort that goes into creating something like this. The editing alone must be a Herculean undertaking, to say nothing of the superb comedy. Bravo, chaps! Certainly serving the greater good (The greater good).
By the way...any luck catchin those MIGs yet?
Also, the Chicken Run theme at the beginning. Brilliant! XD
Thanks Thomas, jolly nice of you to say!

Excellent work Squire & Co.! Was a proper laugh this one, and the carrier captain was simply splendid!
I think this is your best vid so far. The 'acting' from Cougar was actually quite good. There were a few moments that really did have some genuine 'Top Gun' vibes, and a few laughs too. Well done :D

I've been watching all of your BF1 and Verdun videos lately and I've become addicting to your extremely British-sounding "yeeees", I now say it all the time whenever something goes well for me in HOI or Holdfast. This video on the other hand has now practically entirely disillusioned me to how often characters in older films will take off their sunglasses to emphasize something "cool", doesn't help that it's Tom Cruise.
The actor playing Martin freeman was exquisite. Quite the debut. I feel he could play a much deeper role though. Perhaps Frodo?
A Top Gun video with a Hot Fuzz AND Breaking Bad reference? Splendid.
Wow great can’t wait to see this!!
Thanks dude!
Just finished it because I have a lunch break at school and damn is it good.
Ah I love this channel. The quality and production may have evolved over the years but the core comedy and humour is still awesome :)
Wow, thanks!
I love the call back to Hot Fuzz! 🤣
I love the Hot Fuzz references!

Great trailer. When's the full release?
*HIIIGHWAY TO THE SQUIRE-ZOOOONNNEEEE*
You are the bestest
No you are!
It’s great cuz his sense of humor and the way he writes these scripts is like perfectly balanced between being so dumb and hilarious that it’s perfect. It also makes me realize how stupid some of the things in top gun actually are🤣
My uncle flew a harrier in the Falklands. On one particular mission he was making a run over some Argentinian defences. He made the mistake of going for a second pass, and got shot down. He ejected at around 60 feet, and landed on a slope which is why he wasnt killed. Unluckily for him, he lost his side arm, which was ripped out of his pocket as he left. But even more unluckily he lost his cigarettes from the pocket too! He was rather miffed at this turn of events so he took refuge in an old farmhouse, abandoned because of the fighting. To his amazement inside was food ( pretty much all baked beans) and more amazingly, a cigarette roller! But no tobacco. So he resorted to trying to smoke peat. He was picked up by the paras 3 days later in a helicopter.
The hot fuzz bit had me howling!
Haha! Glad you enjoyed it mate :)
