Hey producers, it's Joshua Casper, and I'm excited to guide you through the Bloom Vocal Aether instrument by Excite Audio in this unofficial video manual. We'll explore every aspect of this synth to help you seamlessly incorporate this fantastic VST into your projects.
Let's kick off with the performance page, where you'll find the preset manager, housing around 250 presets. Save and name your own presets and utilize tooltips for parameter details. Move on to the edit page, featuring the magic of the synth and an output gain slider.
Explore the four main macro controls on the performance page, designed for vocals. Witness the warmth, saturation, and distortion effects as you trigger samples with your keyboard.
Dive into the ether controls, creating a lush reverb delay multi-effect. Experiment with the speaker and stereo field manipulation for wider and mono sounds.
Discover transposition options, allowing easy key adjustments for your samples. Easily switch to G minor or any other scale, making integration into your projects seamless.
Explore the sample banks, each corresponding to a two-octave keyboard. Trigger samples with your keyboard, mouse, or MIDI clips. Adjust transposition, and learn how to hot swap entire sample banks.
Move on to the sample edit section on the edit page. Control playback, reverse, ping pong, and infinite loop settings. Tweak settings for hold, release, and other playback parameters.
Dive into the grid section for precise control over markers, grid size, and fade amount. Understand the pitch, formant, and shifting controls for unique sample manipulation.
Explore the choke groups, enabling the cutting off of one keypress when another is triggered. Understand the attack, panning, and volume controls, as well as BPM warp and pitch adjustments.
Delve into the phrase player, where you can control the sequence of samples using the second half of your keyboard. Learn about the effects, such as reverb, modulation, and delay, with the ability to copy modulation curves.
Finally, explore the master effects, including delay, reverb, and modulation. Gain deeper control with advanced settings for each effect. Reorder effects by dragging, creating a customizable effects chain.
The phrase player offers creative possibilities, where you can spend a significant amount of time crafting unique phrases. The video concludes with an overview of the master effects and their advanced settings, allowing you to tailor the sound to your preferences. Happy producing!

this is big limitation not being able to use your own samples... please add this function with an update.
First thing I was looking for, thank you for the info. I use Output Arcade and we can use our own samples
Ngl this thing is fun to mess with. no more arcade or splice searching
💯
Dope - looks like a good all in one for vocal! 🔥
Guess I'll wait for version 2.0 and the ability to use own samples :)
Good for background ambient vocal.
fantastic ❤
I see great vsts like this all the time, with one major issue. They never let you add your own samples.
I'm loving this plugin. Being able to change the key of the enitre sample range is really useful.
It really is! 100% agree with that! _ JC
Weird- oeksound also annnounced a plugin called “Bloom” that uses the exactly the same font, and the color is the same but pink.
Right! I actually thought this was it 🤣
its not the same font though, just looks similar because both are lower case logos, but yeah I guess this happens sometimes, when plugins are not released yet. its hard to find a good name.
Thanks for the guide! Sounds great and seems super useful, I’ll definitely be trying this one out 🙏🔥
Their drum breaks plugin is great. Now I just want someone (hopefully excite) to do a similar plugin for EDM drums. SO useful.
I love the visual representation of the audio wave. It would be cool if they let you switch the colors.
Can you add your own custom samples?
No
How do you take one sample and spread it across the keyboard so it changes pitch when you play different notes?
It seems you are restricted to the existing vocal samples of the plugin. Would be great to import own samples. But I guess that will be part of the business model: Selling new samples & presets? Over all, nice plugin.
And the down side: same samples in many songs, that is, if they will get airplay, which I doubt...
i got an issue the plug in is to big on my laptop screen i can see the top all the way down to the efx i cant see the bottom part of the plugin. how can i resize this plugin in fl studio
Can these effects be used on any raw vocal on an audio channel?
I assumed I could load my own samples when I bought all of these. I was wrong. Cry Cry Cry. Back to regular samplers!
Can you change the plugin colour as it's too pale and hard to see the writing
Great tutorial, Josh! There are a bunch of these ‘vocal-like’ instruments, and I thought they’d be used in ambient or cinematic compositions, but I think they’re being used for everything from pop, hip hop to r&b. I wonder if this is a trend in music. Will we see songs on the Spotify top 50 that have no vocals other than a sampler instrument?
Can our own samples be imported?
Can you use your own samples?
Hey, Excite Audio designed this to be a vocal instrument, not a sampler so the plugin has been tailored to the content that it comes with. Thanks!
I will buy if the next uodate comes with the abilty to import ones own samples. Pretty sure most would. With the advent of AI the coding for this could be done and tested wiithin a month and ready for beta release. But of course you wont do it so good luck selling, already stale vocal samples.
can you use your own vocal samples?
No
Overtime these samples will just become used by everyone, this needs to accept custom samples or will get old very fast.
Can we load our own custom samples?
Hello. At the moment, no. You can only use the samples in the instrument. - JC
@@PluginBoutiqueOfficial please tell the developer this feature would add a lot of value!!!
Se copiaron del arcade
I was going to buy it but I'm glad I read the comments here first.
You can't import your own samples??? WTF? 👀👀
UA-cam is going to have a copyright strike fiesta. 📺

Impossible to follow. Instructional videos should be done using a highlighted mouse cursor. Especially with a light background like this one.
Can’t import your own samples? That’s a big omission 😮

The instrument is still playing samples though albeit internal samples from the developer so in essence it is a sophisticated sampler but locked to its internal samples. It would have been so much better if it had the ability to upload user samples. Just my opinion, other people would like the instrument as is@@PluginBoutiqueOfficial
No sample import? Hard pass.
Too confusing
Can´t use my own Samples? No thanks.

well, excite audio then should hire a new designer :) @@PluginBoutiqueOfficial
