These guys are about as good as it gets in the world of psychedelic stoner rock. Sophisticated without being complicated, pure attitude. Groove for days.
The people who run the sound for KEXP performances are absolute masters of their craft. Also All Them Witches absolutely rule, glad to see you check out their stuff.
At 71 and a female, I can't seem to get enough of their music. Find myself going down the rabbit hole and checking out everything these guys are doing. My hope is to see them live one day.😊😊😊 🎶🎶🎶💖💖💖👣🌛🌝🌜👣💖💖💖🎶🎶🎶
this is so awesome. honestly, for all you went thru, i find your generation to be the most youthful and easy going. i dont know how or why cuz youve lived thru some ish,, i guess thats prob why,,
I remember watching this performance for the 1st time and had a very similar smile on my face. Watching someone else dig ATW for the 1st time is just priceless.
Yes!! I LOVE this band. I listened to nothing but their "Live on the Internet" album for like 2 months straight. Everyone should also check out King Buffalo if/when they get a chance.
Same, in Atlanta. I knew of ATW at the time and loved it but was so sad it was only 3 songs, and I think the rest of the venue felt the same by the end. Love them and all their success
All Them Witches are ace. There are a couple of KEXP sessions. The drummer has such a strong beat in his playing. There is such emotion in their work. They went down to trio for a while. Love them and enjoyed your enjoyment, Michael. No idea what you are talking about sometimes (that's me not you) but hey. The light shines through. Thankyou.
This song is truly a masterpiece and the band behind it is equally masterful! One killer album after another. I’ve seen them 3 times now and have been blown away every time!
If you like this song you should listen to Dirt Preachers and Elk Blood Heart, both also from All Them Witches. These guys have a pretty unique vibe and style, just truly my favorite active band
This band fuckin rules. Also love around the 9 min mark we get a break from the commentary and you just see our dude enjoying the crud out of these guys in their element. Cool to see and share thanks man🤙🏻
Ancienne Belgique I think. That is absolutely awesome. Also already saw them live. Bang!!! Everytime I listen to them live I get sttuned. And Allan.. He brings that dream alive prostration and thats one of those motives why it is so good to be alive.
Glad you did this! Discovered these guys early 2022 and I’ve been obsessed since. I don’t say this lightly… they’re becoming my favourite band ever… and I’ve heard all the best of them from the 60’s to the 90’s
I’m 56 from New York, and I’ve seen everybody! Queens of the Stoneage, Silversun Pickups, and now All Then Witches is my Favorite. We’re lucky that we can see a band like this. There getting better!!!
Just discovered these guys recently. It warmed my heart to see you had a video of this song by them. They are the real deal! Im going to make a point to see them live for sure.
Dude ATW is the truth! You need to check out some more of them when you can. Every project they put out is stellar, listen to their song Silver To Rust when you get a chance.
My favorite band. I'm a drummer and know enough about music theory to be dangerous, so I enjoy your channel. Glad you checked these guys out! I'm hoping many of your fans get into Ben McLeod. Tasty stuff IMO.
All Them Witches are in my top 10. One of the best live shows I have ever seen. Can't wait for them to come back through. ........Though since they dropped the guy on keys I just call them Some of Them Witches...
Glad to see all them witches on your Channel. They are my current favorite band. One thing you should know about Ben is his favorite Guitar players Roy Buchanan and Kenny Vaughan.
Awesome watching people experience ATW. The way you got baptized by Parks' bass groove is so fun to watch. The happiness on your face matches my own when I watch these guys. Great insight on the music. Thank you!
Thank you for finally doing one of my favorites. This kexp version is sweet!!! Awesome versatile band . Fasten the seat belt in your favorite submarine and dive deep! Can't wait to see them live!
I appreciate and admire All the Witches and would put something like this up loud - louder loudest when I’m mad. I’m old though - I don’t get mad too often lol. I just discovered a whole bunch of guitar analysis/reaction/ teaching from 2 years ago from Mr MP so I’m headed down memory lane next.
Michael, thanks for covering this performance. For me, one of the best on youtube. Have you ever checked out the French rock trio SLIFT? They've done sessions for Kexp & Levitation, you'll love them
It’s such an awesome band. Now that good people is Rock and Roll. Bit of Sabbath in the lead. Meddle. One of these days maybe? There was something on Live at Pompeii. Ben McLeod rocks. Subscribed.
LOVE THIS BAND. So glad you did these guys. One of my favorite rock bands that has a keyboardist. That sounds shitty, but I mean it as a compliment. Big ties to Rick Wright from Floyd, whom I love, and these guys give me some of those vibes too. Sadly this is that brief(ish) period where Alan wasn't with them and they went three-piece. Still awesome (heaviest album ever recorded at Abbey Road?) but not as awesome IMHO. Saw them last year in Chicago and they destroyed.
ok ok ok no seriously THIS is what community is all about when we don't have radio to play this to the masses... I'm old ok I get it... 2 teenage kids.. work blah blah blah...I'll admit it I miss a lot of shit these days but this! what a friggin tune 🍻
ATW have become one of my favourite bands since I accidentally discovered them a couple of years ago. This is one of my fav songs of theirs. Was priceless watching your appreciation. They are so good.
I found you and subscribed with Radiohead, loved and almost cried with that Prince solo, and I’m staying based on this All Them Witches video. You’re such a joy to learn from. Happy brain, happy soul. Thanks
I commented before watching the whole reaction because I was so excited it s ATW…but NOW I’m commenting again because I’m loving how much you are enjoying their sound. The comments on the drumming!! Yes!! I’ve watched this video so many times and can’t get enough of the last two minutes man. I mean, I really cannot say enough about ATW. Been a fan for a long time and I just love them
It’s always fun to see someone get stoked by a band you’ve been digging for years. They have a live album from a Brussels show. One of the best albums ever mixed.
Huge fan. Great stuff. Also, doesn't the drummer remind you of Animal on the Muppets? In the best way of course. Edit: Serious Doors vibes in the vocals
Seen them live three times now and they are by far my favorite current act to see. Their recent residency in Austin was absolutely amazing. Everything they put out is gold. Just some dirty, new school southern/psychedelic rock and I'm here for it. Which tracks since their hometown is Nashville. If you have the chance, go see them live.
This is a great song and a great band .... The Melody carried throughout is amazing..... And all the little nuances added by the guitar, bass, and drums are stellar
I read somewhere that they played together without ever recording for a really long time before actually getting into the studio. I miss this pure jam band chemistry in modern music, even rock music.
“Here I come again now baby like a dog in heat” ish. But much much different. We all play so much of what we love it’s incredible difficult to brake a mold that is so awesome. Hats off to those that make it all their own! ❤️💯
Wow man, this is so helpful and interesting! :D Was looking for guitar tabs for these but this is so much better, it's like I used to do it in the old days, jamming with a friend, listening to bands we both dig and commenting and learning their moves. You've got a new suscriber.
Yeah wow..Ive been on this for a while now, its has to be one of the trippiest rides out there.. So many riff changes and balances between the bass, to lead to that drumming.. I can see it there where you just totally vague out and forget about why you are watching it and just go for the ride.. Hope you come back to it and do it for the entirety.. "Holy Cow"
One of my favorite sessions we've shot at KEXP! Thanks, Michael!
@@scottholpainen holy cow, thanks for that one!
Awesome man. Would be cool to be involved in these KEXP sessions. So many great bands and the audio mixing is world class.
Best session I've seen, simply stellar in all aspects from the band to the production.
There's a new one too! ua-cam.com/video/AVvOj_XEK5k/v-deo.html
You guys are so awesome. I have discovered so much great music by you guys, mixed brilliantly! Shout out to the engineers at KEXP!

Best station in the whole country and it's not close
Word!!!
Ben McLeod is a total badass. Tasty playing paired with the best tone.
Favorite band at the moment. Glad Alan is back on keys. Adds another stellar dimension
YES!

King Buffalo is incredible as well!
Love King Buffalo.
How about Russian Circles too.
@@silverjaw138 Russian circles, pelican, if these trees could talk, elephant tree etc... Love them all
Just discovered that album, it's badass!
Saw them open for Mastodon and Primus. Best opener I've seen, everyone was digging it.
Same, in Atlanta. I knew of ATW at the time and loved it but was so sad it was only 3 songs, and I think the rest of the venue felt the same by the end. Love them and all their success
Saw em on that tour as well in Charlotte. They had so much groove and energy.
Glad I'm not the only one dying over how crazy good the bass and the high hats make this song sound 💪
All Them Witches are ace. There are a couple of KEXP sessions. The drummer has such a strong beat in his playing. There is such emotion in their work. They went down to trio for a while. Yes! Absolute best current band by a mile. The album Dying Surfer Meets His Maker is incredible.
Bass player has the coolest voice i know. Alabaster live at rock in burlon is also amazing.
Nice to see you appreciating All Them Witches, Michael. Their live version of Diamond from the same KEXP recording is FIRE! Check it out.
ua-cam.com/video/uqeqSKw-a-8/v-deo.html :D
bruh that IS a fire recording man, I'm trying to get him to check out King Buffalo too!
I’d also say Workhorse. Such a catchy powertune!!
All them witches are great. Best band going nobody knows about. Great blues rock
Would definitely be the band I'd have asked for, if I weren't too lazy to make a request. Ben is such a cool, tasteful player. They're all great.
Yes!!! ATW is literally one of my favorite all time bands…they are just SO GREAT!!
If you like this song you should listen to Dirt Preachers and Elk Blood Heart, both also from All Them Witches. These guys have a pretty unique vibe and style, just truly my favorite active band
This is my favorite current band .. Love seeing people react to them. Everything they do is tooooo cool!
Great selection. I'm getting Black Sabbath "War Pigs" tone and drum work mixed with Pink Floydy vibes, á la "Echoes - Live at Pompeii."
I've seen them twice live. Both times they walk out to War Pigs. So, the influence is definitely there.
This band fuckin rules. Also love around the 9 min mark we get a break from the commentary and you just see our dude enjoying the crud out of these guys in their element. Cool to see and share thanks man🤙🏻
There is some Led Zep, Tool and PinkFloyd mixed here ... Love it !
This song is even better in conjunction with Talisman. Been a fan since our mother electricity first came out. Such a fun band.
And this is all without Allan Van Cleave’s Rhodes magic. He seriously shines in Live in Brussels.
Yeah his rhodes playing is so good. Didn’t they bring him back recently?
They did.
@@tenkarabadger5244 hell yeah that’s great news

Groove for dayyssssssss on this one. Power trio doesn't begin to explain it. Layers upon layers....it's a growing organism.
Very Jim Morrison vocally - LOVE IT!

Allan’s in the band. This is from when he wasn’t
So glad he’s back. Always thought it was a shame that they really took off, exposure wise, once they were 3 piece.

I saw this band/ this vid for the first time a few days ago. Was basically as amazed as Michael here. What a vibe.
That bass is sick! It drives the whole tune.
Has major Nugent "Stranglehold" vibes in the middle there. Solid song. I will definitely give this band a listen!
Absolutely!
All them Witches are great. Can't say I like all they do, but I do love many of their songs
Hell yeah dude. All them Witches 🔥🔥 especially when the band has the keyboard player
Finally! You're the man. Baddest band around!
Glad to see all them witches on your Channel. They are my current favorite band. One thing you should know about Ben is his favorite Guitar players Roy Buchanan and Kenny Vaughan.
That pink floyd song you might be looking for probably is « one of these days » off of the meddle album
