What do you think about the rise of pge2 with minoxidil? Isn’t it a factor of skin aging and collagen inhibition?

Taking very low dose 0,625mg.. first 3 weeks no side effects at all. Last days I notice chest tenderness here and there and back tenderness.. and woke up with palpitations a few times while sleeping, had them also rarely before being on oral minoxidil..
Don’t know if I should continue, using it now for almost 5 weeks.

I just bumped up my dose to 5mg from 3mg and I’m a week into that switch. I noticed for the last few days my face has had a numb tingling sensation only on the left side. It’s kinda scary and I’ve never heard of that side effect before. I think I may go back to 3mg and see if it stops.

I’ve been oral minoxidil for nearly 2 years coming to 3 yrs. from
2.5mg to daily 5mg. I lived with back pain and eyelid swelling and facial swelling and nose swelling. So this year on march I completely stopped taking it. The swelling and back pain completely stopped. Omg so yesterday I started taking 2.5mg at night and today I woke up with a tight and pain full
Left lower back pain. And I could feel my eyelids feeling heavy. I know pretty sure it’s connected with oral minoxidil. Even my lips started feeling puffy. The back pain is annoying. Today at work my colleagues asked why one of my eyes are bigger then the other.
Oral minoxidil works very well in terms of hair perspectives even at the smallest dosages like 1.25mg but the side effects on my body is to annoying to bare. Even in pictures I looked like I’ve been getting some sparring looking swelling pillow face. Sucks 😢

  • @ராமகிருஷ்ணன்-ச2ர

1.25mg oral minoxidil gives me dizziness and im laying down on my bed for it my heart beats are very fast at that time. so i stopped and switching back again with topical. i don't take risk of my life for just hair

Not sure why your not using sublingual minoxidil as the side effect profile is lessened due to it bypassing the liver. I am on 7.95% sublingual min with no sides. To be honest mate you have enough hair (more hair than any male scalp I have seen) so just take finasteride and move on.

I started TRT and shortly before I started oral minoxidil - over the time I have gained some water weight, quickly, and thats kind of a known thing with TRT - but also just found out oral minoxidil does this too, so I'm like holy crap - no wonder I look like an oily balloon. I stopped the minoxidil 2 days ago now. I threw it out, not worth it tbh.

Sorry to hear about the rash, Id stop if I had that too. I got the puffy face but was taking a higher dosage back in the day and not sure if I would still have that if I restarted on 1.25mg.
but after being on OM for a few years and coming off I can say that the extra hair stays.

I recently started taking it and after 4 doses I was so happy my hair was looking thicker 2.5mg y only side effect was swollen eyes but after the 1 weeks I started getting swollen knees and ankles , water retention , like one day I would weight 142lbs next day 146lbs all this I could deal with . Until one week past buy and I get to the point that I was gonna faint started trembling and rapid heart rate and got very nervous , which at this point I almost got an exited attack , literally though I was gonna die lol , somehow I was able to calm down , and I immiadltly stopped the medication , in my opinion I dont think its worth it , yes it helping for the hair but not worth all the side effects especially the heart ones , I hope this helps people looking at this video , I am gonna try the topical version and micro needling and see how it goes , and question for you doctor do you think its possible to do topical once a day and take .25 of the oral ? I might try but I think oral is not good

Hi, I took Oral Minoxidil in 2022, 2.5 mg for 3 weeks and it gave me very bad sides: it definitely lowers your blood pressure and if you have normal to low blood pressure to start with it may contribute to dizziness. I also had reflex tachycardia and soon after stopping I had some episodes of rebound hypertension, for me it messes things out in the body. Also had this face puffiness. I reduced to 1 mg afterwards and took it for 2 months, less sides but still noticeable.
