My favorite is the dark saber, not just the mandalorian saber. The color itself is awesome because it represents an angry individual but not a hate filled individual (which is the main difference between a red saber and dark saber). I think the sith don’t like dark saber wielders because they couldn’t turn them as easily, since they were already corrupted but not in hateful way.
My own theory, based on the color wheel:
Green: willingness to follow the will of the Force, hardest to fall to the Dark Side since the Dark Side is based on ignoring the will of the Force
Blue: willingness to fight for what's right, slightly easier to fall due to the temptation of abusing power to save lives
Yellow: willingness to study the force, slightly easier to fall due to temptation of learning forbidden knowledge
Purple: overzealous willingness to fight for what's right, significantly closer to the dark side
Orange: barely controlled thirst for knowledge, significantly closer to the dark side
(Additional colours like cyan, indigo, Ahsoka's yellow-green, would be in-between of the above: indigo between blue and purple, cyan between green and blue, etc, signifying a mix in the person's attitude)
I really like this theory except I don't think the Dark Side ignores the Will of the Force. The Will of the Force includes both Dark and Light sides. It's the majority of Sith who choose to ignore the Will and use the Dark side of the Force to only benefit themselves. Count Dooku is a great example of a Dark Side user who tends to follow the Will, besides following Palp's will haha. Besides that, this theory is god-tier! Well done!

I read online saying that the yellow lightsabers represented the power of the sun, goodness, and hope for a brighter future. I also found out that the black kyber crystal that powers the darksaber is a unique crystal that can bond with anyone that it believes worthy of wielding it.
Blue : pretty much the young hero that saves the day

I would definitely use a purple lightsaber as I believe the most well rounded Jedi would use teachings from both the dark and the light side while ultimately remaining balanced in the force, it’s great aswell because it just so happens that Purple is my favourite colour.

I’d probably have purple or blue.
I have a blue duelling lightsaber that can be used in combat. It makes the swishing sounds and makes clashing noises and everything. It’s really cool.
The Orange lightsaber is now canon as Jedi Fallen Order is canon.
I would live to have either an Orange or purple lightsaber as not only are they rare but I like the lore around the Purple lightsaber and the game the Orange one came from.

Awe watching this video in 2023 and hearing the narration speak about episode 8 with so much hope and awe makes me wish we could go back and change those last two damn movies.
A lot of grey force users also use blue and yellow sabers, such as the knights of Zakkul from Knights of the fallen empire

I always liked that whole idea of balance or mixes. In my head mine was always purple or yellow/orange. But I had once imagined a a maroon light saber. This was before the cannon so I imagined I killed sith and put a purple crystal in the sith lightsaber with both crystals. So it was like a reclaimed saber. But what's crazy is I imagined the main bad guy having a black saber before there was one. And it also was black with white light sounding it. It was not shaped like it was in the show but still it was so shocking that to me that it became a thing.

White could have 2 meanings
1 it could mean a force user in neutral with the force, not siding with one or the other but just being purely one with the very force itself, puting them in a neutral state and position
2 it could symbolise a return from the darkside of the force, someone who's gone far into the dark side of the force and has managed to successfully return from it and drained their crystal afterwards

Yea i love how much hype that content creators generated for Disney. They put so much effort into their videos, theory crafting, anticipating story lines etc. Then disney just walked to the bathroom and let out 3 big old turds. I thought rey and fin and kylo were badass characters and was super excited. I assumed rey was going to get a double sided light saber since she favored a staff in the first movie. Nope, no continuity, no story building, just nonsensical hot ass garbage. So mad.

People have made an exact definiton of what you described the first lightsabers were. They are plasma swords that require a backpack to power it just like a lightsaber (they were aiming to create a real one and this was the closest they could get).

I would have Green or Purple. I would prioritize my Force abilities over my Lightsaber combat. I would also pull from the darkside/utilize Form VII. Mine would also probably be unstable like Kylo Ren's because I not only face personal conflict, but I'd imagine I'd naturally be conflicted utilizing the Darkside while being aligned with the Light.

I'd have to go for a yellow lightsaber (typically used by scholars and Jedi Temple Guards), because I'd research things for the Jedi Council that would be of benefit to the Jedi Order. Spending most of my time in either the Archives or out in the field, making sure to have my lightsaber with me at all times (any good Jedi should never go anywhere without one).

it doesn't really have a mreaning. Its extremely personal to Mandalorians and that's about it. I’ve seen some theories that it’s about protecting image/clans/family.

so this is no longer canon but in legends, it is said that it was made by the first Mandalorian Jedi. It turned black due to the Mandalorian's reliance on weaponry, and how he viewed it as such, rather than it being a tool as most Jedi use it. the jedis name is slipping my mind though
Kylo doing some kind of self reflection and becoming a neutral force user with a white saber would have been cool.
That would have required planning or creativity.
White doesn't exactly mean being neutral, it just means choosing your own path of good like Ahsoka did, a clean slate so to be speak which makes sense as White Lightsabers can only be created from purified Red Crystals.

When I was a child my father made me a lightsaber from a flashlight, some thin white tubing and back then a cap from a 60ml syringe. I didn’t want to tell him I was disappointed because it wasn’t red, blue, or green (I grew up watching the original trilogy over and over) so to me those were the only colours a lightsaber should be. And I was thinking about this now that I have a child who loves StarWars. But I saw a video about Asoka’s lightsabers on a UA-cam video and got back to remembering lightsaber my dad made for me, and I wasn’t disappointed anymore because not knowing it I had one of the rarest lightsaber blades in the StarWars galaxy. I just didn’t know it at the time.
Green was always my favourite
My lightsaber would be a dual wield, with a blue blade and a black core. It would have a slanted up guard, and a small point blade at the end. Thanks for reading!

I always saw myself as either White or Red, depending on if i was A Neutral Jedi or A Sith/Inquisitor, I feel i wouldn't really be good or evil mainly just there to fight against the Empire, like how the ghost crew ran
