Thank you SO much for mentioning the MST Nations and their history in this area. That's unheard of for a UA-camr to recognize Indigenous lands, and it's inspiring!
I started watching your videos around last winter after my road trip from Ottawa to Vancouver. Wanted to see parts of the city that I missed out on. And then I began to binge on all your other videos. The trains, the travels, the tours. Basically what I’m trying to say is it’s absolutely fantastic to see that your awesome videos have led you to have experiences like this, living in Stanley Park and the resort. What’s even better is getting to be along for the ride for this long. Thanks for making a dark time in my life a bit more tolerable. I can't wait for what's to come!
Being in the cockpit is a whole other flying experience. Flying with the Snowbirds fills my heart with pride and I'm not even Canadian. The physical setting (location) of Vancouver is stunning, but seeing it from the air, I can't help but just say WOW. Mike, the videos just keep getting better and my admiration for what you do increases with each new post.
Vancouver will always be my home, is something I said in my 20s. Now I'm a little older I prefer the Island. I hope and pray that we are not financially forced to retire somewhere else. I have been here for 2/3 of my life now.
I have said "this is your best video" a couple of times before, but, Mike, this definetely is the best one!!!! CSB ! Helicopter flight! Wow! I am so happy I'll get to call Vancouver home soon!
Lived at 1331 Alberni St for a month when I first moved to Vancouver. I could see the 9 o'clock gun from my window. The first night I thought there had been some sort of explosion. By the 3rd or 4th night I realised that this was a thing!
Hey Mike, loved the Snowbird segment. I had no idea that each pilot just watched the pilot beside him. Sadly, my friend Jim’s nephew, who was a snowbird pilot, lost his girlfriend Jenn, in that terrible accident in Kamloops. I love how much you are enjoying the Stanley Park house.
I knew the snowbirds were good, but holy moley, did not know they fly that close when in formation. That's just bananas. They could pretty much high 5 each other!
Tip when you cook bacon, place the bacon on a cold skillet and then heat up the skillet. It lessons shinkage (que Seinfeld) of the bacon during the cooking process. Love your channel.
Thanx Mike Awesome vid as always👍🏻😁. That view man is so beautiful well Vancouver are so so so beautiful i really wanna come to Vancouver one day. U are living in heaven Mike. Thanx again can not wait for ur next vid. Stay safe. 😁🇨🇦👍🏻
Many people say this but I truly mean it when i say, this is the only channel I don’t and will ever skip the ads. This mate deserves every single loonie and and toonie he gets of revenue. Cheers!
Your videos are such a joy to watch, a real love letter to the city of Vancouver. I spent quite a bit of vacation time in the city over the years, and always enjoy going back when I can. Some of the "hidden gems" you've featured on past episodes are definitely on my bucket list! Thank you!
Who would have thought that you could actually get us up close to the Snowbirds. Man the amount of information that you share with us is priceless, I bet even the bestest of guide will not be able to do justice as you explain and show it to us. So thankful!! Love the 9'0 clock gun 😍😍
A great video as always! Saw the Snowbirds a number of times this year as they were at Boundary Bay airport, quite near us. They make you feel quite patriotic!🇨🇦🙂
Mike, watch out for the coyotes roaming through Stanley Park, several attacks on people in the last week. Carry a portable sailboat/bike horn so if you see them you can scare them away safely. They're out day and night so be careful while you're living in the park.
As someone who's lived in Ontario my whole life you've given me such an amazing insight to the other side of our fair nation. I have now made it one of my goals to visit Vancouver within the next 5 years, as well as some of the other cool spots around BC that you've highlighted, thanks for the awesome videos and I am loving this series on the house in Stanley Park.
@@Dwbi334 I have plenty of family that lives out west. I know a lot of Ontarians like to think of Canada as just Ontario, but I love our country from sea to sea to sea :)
Your videos just keep getting better and better. Thank you so much for sharing all of this with us, and teaching us about your beautiful city. I can't wait for next week.
You’ve really Matured, ( video production wise, compared age-wise to me you’re still an Embryo ). I’m enjoying your Life Buddy. Thanks for taking Me along !!!
I got to fly in one back in 1987 when my uncle was an MP on the base Moosejaw and we lived there and we got to see them most days when they were out over our school it was great love them so much
Great vid! I kno this sounds crazy, I saw the house in Stanley park and surpriseingly I saw the couple at the dining table somehow! Also I actually live near million air in Richmond like couple hundred meters away.
Leave it to Mike and TheDownieLiveChannel to go from traveling thousands of miles across country in Trains to flying thousands of feet in the air in Helicopters n Planes. LOVING THIS!!! ♥♥♥
Hi Mike. I got the "heebie-geebies" when you hung out of that helicopter !😂 Those planes are pretty darn cool, flying so close in formation like that. What a buzz to be able to have the skills to fly like that 🧡
The Thunderbirds stationed at Nellis AFB here in Las Vegas did a flyover for all of our folks too! People were so excited to see them fly overhead! -Cool flyover..thanks for sharing.
I always get excited when you have a new video out! I'm also from Vancouver and it's so cool to learn more about my city. Thanks for always putting a smile on my face and entertaining us all. Love all the history and facts that you mention in every video. Keep up the amazing work
You have such great connections! PS It's interesting to note that the parks authority lets the grass succumb to the whims of nature rather than wasting water on it.
Mike, having followed your videos for the last several months, I am incredibly impressed by the production quality and footage you bring to us. You keep outdoing yourself with every new video! Is there some secret sauce in the Hello Fresh box that's responsible for this?!
That was an awesome video! The day the Snowbirds did their fly over of the hospitals they flew right over my house!!! I was so excited and I got a photo of them!!! I live right near Ridge Meadows Hospital. Still get goosebumps when I think about it! That was pretty cool that they did video footage for your channel! Looks like you are enjoying your stay at the Stanley Park house! Thanks for sharing Mike!
Awesome on so many levels. Love your digs and flying with the Snowbirds was outstanding. Vancouver is truly a beautiful city. I hope to visit one day when we put this pandemic behind us.
Awesome flight with the Snowbirds. Had them here in my town and have incredible footage of their acrobatic show. Spectacular view over Vancouver. Thank you for sharing 🇨🇦
Mike: You are such a good salesman for Vancouver. You have taken us to places to see in the area. Now if the Canadian government cooperates and allows travel! Looking forward to the next video.
To think, when I was shaking my fist at the sky when the snowbirds flew over, shaking my house windows, I should have been shaking my fist at you!!!! jkjk good video :)
I saw them on my way home in south surrey. They appeared between the trees for 1 second, and I was shocked that I saw 10 planes flying together. A big fighter with 9 around it.
What sets the Snowbirds apart from most other demonstration teams such as the American Thunderbirds and Blue Angels, is that the Snowbirds are flying with nine aircraft - all the others fly just six.
Even when you can't see them, you can certainly hear them. Especially the CF-18. 1 is loud enough, I can only imagine how much noise a squadron would make.
Thank you SO much for mentioning the MST Nations and their history in this area. That's unheard of for a UA-camr to recognize Indigenous lands, and it's inspiring!
agreed!!! it's imperative to make this history known, and that its not just history. It is ongoing in so-called "vancouver"
The helicopter pilot’s “There is a house in Stanley Park?” made me laugh. 😂
Hahaha. 😄
I had the same reaction
Same here 😂😂 I was like all thanks to Mike I no longer feel like an outsider

This was a surprise. Getting the Snowbirds to provide custom content for your channel is quite a trick!
I am a airplane fanatic, and i go to atleast 1 airshow a year, seeing a cf 18 and snowbirds together and pro ide content for u is amazing
Thank you for mentioning the indigenous peoples that lived in the park before it was a park. It's really close to my heart so thank you.
