The swooping lines, the friendly face, the elegant shape all just spoke to me. 17 years later the classic challenger is still my favourite American muscle car and I'll never get the chance to drive one.
And now it's gone.
Rest in peace, legend.
The look on Jay's face while pulling the challenger suggests that he pulled cars 10 times faster than this , while the donut crew loses their faces. Absolute legend.
It's a Challenger, not a Charger. Very distinctively different cars.

The "Black Ghost" is an awesome story that's been made into a killer documentary that ends in the owner's son getting the car restored and driving it. I enjoyed it immensely.
This was one of the saddest episodes I have ever watched. Im a mustang guy, but this car is an absolute legend. My dad owned a 1970 cuda 383 so as soon as I seen the cuda and challenger I was absolutely in love and it’s what got me into a muscle car and the love of a v8
This is only happening because Biden was elected. Democrats are responsible for kill our industries. Thats just the facts. Dodge was going to get rid of the V8 back in 2016. Then Trump was elected. We need to get these out of touch career politicians out of office and change course.

Once the car stops meeting ever increasing emissions standards, it'll become illegal to register and inspect them. Which means anytime you see one doing burnout competitions and drag races, you know it's only a few months away from being impounded and likely crushed.
@@Caffeinated-DaVinci What? Most states have exemptions for older cars. The cars generally only need to meet the emissions requirements of when they were originally released, not modern standards. I just bought a 2010 High Performance Red SRT8 a few months ago. Wanted to get it before they all went away and prices went up. 85k miles on it now from 82k on purchase and I'm very happy with it :)
Bought a silver 2009 with the six speed in January with 36k miles. 42k on it now. Very fun car.
Hey bro, I almost bought the 09' SRT8 as well but after test driving a 6 speed manual 2012 ZL1, it was just the clear answer for me my bro. Nothing against challenger but ZL1 Camaro just looks more muscular and more engaging to drive. Again no offense. I'm a Mopar guy but my friend urged me to drive a ZL1 before settling on SRT8. I also test drove a hellcat, it felt a bit quicker in a straight line but it honestly felt too damn heavy on it's toes man. I just couldn't have fun with it under normal day to day driving whereas the Camaro just feels like a nimble giant. If that makes sense. The old Camaro just has a road presence that isn't matched. Either way, we both have muscle cars and for me, it's mopar or no car except ZL1
Congrats! I bought a 2014 Challenger RT in late May. After years of saving for it, I finally have my dream car! So far, it's been worth every penny :)
I'm not a big fan of the Challenger, but I recognize it's importance to the muscle car world. It's sad to know that the Challenger is going away, but at least, it made it's role in the car culture.
Rest in peace, Challenger. You will always be loved and remembered by us, car fans all around the world
Someone, perhaps Doug DeMuro, wondered if the Challenger could become America's G-Wagen. Keep it in production for 40 years with the same body and only making minor engine updates as required by legislation. It would sell too.
I think the challenger was a great muscle car because it never tried to be a track star like the Camaro or Mustang. It was always about the sound, power, and road presence. It's a big lumbering powerful car and it fit its role perfectly.
Great Video Guys!! I actually just bought a 2021 Challenger myself as my old car was totalled in an accident. So I upgraded from my little 4 cylinder to a 2021 Sxt V6 and am loving it so much!!! I never thought I'd actually get to own one but here we are lol
