My hyperpigmentation got so much better when I eliminated sugar and bread from my diet, I use chemical peels to get rid of old scars but stopping the breakouts is key, and stopping the breakouts is about dietary changes

Personally, I have always had really really bad post-inflammatory marks and hyperpigmentation for as long as I can remember. Pretty much since I started having acne. So many facialists told me the ONLY way to clear my face was by getting acid peels, but I'm broke and more importantly, I have seen WAY too many "acid peel gone wrong" videos that idt I can bring myself to do it 😭. You’re so beautiful! I got a VI peel about 2.5 years ago. I encourage everyone I know that’s struggles with hyperpigmentation and scars to get one. I loved it and think it’s worth it. It did not remove all my scars but it definitely helped. It’s a process, but it’s a great start to the process.
Please continue vlogging your peels. I think I’ll get a VI peel. I have a couple of dark marks on my and my neck is a bit dark. Thanks as always, for sharing your journey.

Wow! This video was very informative! I got my First PCA chemical peel about a week ago. I followed all the steps, and washed my face morning and night. Although I see improvement, I don't see a drastic change. I feel as if I should do a peel every couple weeks, and maintain my progress over a year. Between maintenance, and microneedling sessions, I'm looking forward to my skin journey as well.
Hello Amanda, I am on day 7 of my first chemical peel as well and just like you I see improvement but nothing drastic. How did you feel about your results weeks after? Did you get any more done after your first?

The first time I got this peel I peeled like crazy which was a month ago. Maybe I should have waited longer than apart for this 2nd peel because it feels like I wasted my money ugh.

I’ve been dying to get a chemical peel. I’ve been going to my dermatologist for about two months and I have a bit of hyperpigmentation left over. I was wondering if it was safe to wear a mask during the peel process? S/N: your kitchen is so nice 😍
I'm wondering is this something I need to do. I started using The Ordinary products in mid August. Im just so scared to do a chemical peel. I'm a new subbie and was wondering is this your first chemical peel. What was the deciding factor for you when it came to getting the peel!!?
First off, welcome to my channel!! 🤎 I’ve gotten chemical peels a lot over the past 5 years or so. My skin tends to have cycles where it breaks out really badly, the breakouts subside, and then I’m left with a bunch of scars. That’s when I get a series of chemical peels. Earlier this year my skin was much more clear, but due to stress and an imbalance of hormones I had another serious breakout. Once (and only once) I got my breakouts under control with prescriptions from my dermatologist, I was ready to start getting chemical peels. If you have a regimen that’s currently working and keeping your breakouts at bay, I would definitely consider chemical peels! They do wonders for acne scars and hyperpigmentation, and also just the glow/health of your skin overall!
