Can I just say I LOVE YALL. I've been using Differin Gel for 7 weeks now to treat my post acne hyperpigmentation and have been applying sunscreen during the day. My face has transformed so much its glowy and spots are fading slowly but surely. These videos are helpful and are confirmation to continue the routine I have with patience! Thank you!!!!! FYI: The sandwich method for the retinol & moisturizer you guys mentioned in another video is the BEST.
Same here! Been using differin for 3 months at night, CeraV pm cream, morning mild cleanser AlPha Arbutin ,then moisturizing sun screen in the morning and I never thought I would see myself with clear skin !!!
Using many "great" products to no avail over the years has made me circumspect about every product. You are saying that this video is "confirmation to continue the routine I have with patience". It means you still require some patience to see results. Am just trying to read between the lines here, since sometimes many people (including me) are trying to tell themselves that they see results when there are hardly any.
Did it get worse before it got better when you first started using it? I have it but i tried to during my worst breakout ever late last year and it felt like it was getting worse than it already was so now im afraid to use it :(
@@flxwercxrpse1871 Usually when I have started products my skin would purge. With the retinol I did have breakouts in the beginning and still breakout here and there but not as much as I use to. I think that’s bc I started using it only 3x a week @night then progressed to 4x a week. At night I cleanse, moisturize, retinol, moisturize. During the day I just cleanse, moisturize, and sunscreen. I’ve only been using it for 7 weeks and it takes about 12 to see results so I can’t say too much but maybe you can try again and just stay the course and keep your routine simple(I have trouble staying w/ 1 routine lol so I’m really trying bc it’s been recommended by so many). Hope this helps!

I'm so happy I found you guys! Maybe 15 years ago cystic huge bumps came out nowhere. They were left and right of my mouth. I tried to pop at first but there was a thick skin on top. I thought it was from stress because I was going to school full time and working full time. The only way to get rid of it was a shot of cortisone and before that they had to open it up and take the junk inside. The Dr said she didn't want to give scars by giving too many shots of cortisone but I couldn't take the pain because they were the size.of.golf.balls. they aren't as big like they used to be. I want to try faded and needling but everything is so expensive

I actually have good news in hypopigmentation. I had many cause I picked my scars, well they're tiny but they looked very obvious. They're now gone from using hydroquinone, not completely gone, but I'm defo seeing the difference in just about a month. So yeahh
I’m so glad I found you guys. I’m in my early 30s, after 6 kids im still battling acne. So stressful, but I’m glad a found you guys I’ve been doing a lot of studying and buying these treatments.fingers crossed I have a solution
Just wanted to share. I've suffered from severe bacne when I was growing up which left me with a lot of darks marks. I hated going to the beach because it felt like everyone could see them. Finally got it treated when I got a job. The dermatologist applied a Glycolic acid peel followed by microdermabrasion. Then, on top of that, TCA. It hurt like hell at first but then I got used to it. Now I can barely see the scars and I'm not afraid to take off my shirt at the beach anymore
Appreciate the info. I've had true acne scars since i was 18, looks to be more atrophic tried lots of diff products. Going to talk to a dermatologist once I find a reputable one in my area. I dont break out that often. I was looking at Mederma but exhausted with buying so many products
I tried the Faded cream by Topicals on my hyperpigmentation on insect bite allergies (I have flea bites from cats and they all turned black after healing) it helped so much and only in 1 month! Normally it would take 8-10 months before these spots fade on my skin but Faded made it possible in a month. Really works.
“No ones going to care about our acne chart” I do!! 😅 but on a real note this was a great video and your editor is doing a fantastic job 😂👏🏻 Dr Shah’s lasers were hilarious.
I always love the videos. Re: the editing - I'd prefer it if the doctors weren't grayed out when the graphic rolls in. Drop down the bullets, play with the color and keep their Dewey faces clear. jmo for what it's worth.
I have watch several videos and found that Dr Max talks much about Retinol and Dr Shah talks about hydroquinone too.. but in both cases they warn us about percentage according to a certain condition.. I'm glad I found this channel..
I've only just found your videos but want to share my experience with you. I have a picking disorder, my mum has it and so do my sisters. I have a lot of super white patches and scars but I am nearly fully healed. I even have pics when I was a kid covered in scabs. The few tricks that helped me was starting a skin care routine, a bit of trial and error later I have a good routine. I get very stressed when I have bumps and lumps so I started using sentella patches, this helps for that split second when I wanted to pick and then I get my nails done with acrylics and got the artist to not make the ends sharp so I have a rounded edges. I have scars etc but my confidence has rocketed sky high. I hope my little journey helps someone.
I had an impulsive picking d/o due to side effects from an antidepressant/sleep medication I took as a teen. It really left its mark on me and now it has been retriggered from trauma/stress...I'm so over carrying these scars with me❤
It takes time to treat acne scars.. but the right products will give u great skin all throughout the years. My husband has acne scars and acne prone skin. He is consistently using the Banish Kit 2.0 and that helped him have good skin, less maintenance up to now. No need for expensive treatments or skincare

Please make more videos on acne scars 😊 maybe review more acne peels and how to use both a retinoid and a chemical peel in your routine. What to avoid in your routine while using both of these treatments. Thank you for your videos! You guys are awesome 😎
Thanks for the tips! I had adult acne. Thanks dad for passing it on 😃 Face and upper back! The scarring is not too bad but it helps that my eye sight is not perfect now I am over 40! Plus I think you get a bit kinder to yourself as you mature 😃 Guys you don't have to look perfect!
Wow! Finally! Why is this such a hard topic to find!? Thank you so much for you very thorough and honest review of treatments!❤
I absolutely love this channel. I just wanted to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.
Love you guys. I’m so appreciative to your page. My skincare routine is so much better because of you two. The comments I’ve received lately is definitely because I trust your advice and most certainly more patient with myself and caring for my skin. My confidence has so improved. Thank you. Love from a BIG fan of you from the UK 🇬🇧 and believe me I tell everyone about Doctorly xx
I love the diagrams/charts! I replay, pause, and take snapshots of those! Thank you again for the informative video.
I LOVED the 'acne chart'!!! Super helpful
I love these guys and appreciate all the good FREE knowledge they provide us.
I give much thanks !
Like is swear to god thanks for being true with all of this details and info which can help people with acne
This is the only truly helpful video on treating acne scars that I've come across. Thank you guys!!!
Especially for the Venn diagram!!! It's going to save us a lot of effort and time💖💖💖
I love the diagram! so clear and easy to understand! Thanks so much for making this!
this is a dream come true .. I remember watching this video and listening about laser for my acne scars…
and now here I am in the dr office getting my face numb getting ready for laser :3
I love these guys, they’re so well educated and helpful. And they’re literally *glowing*, and that’s how you know they follow their own advice. :D
Great tips! Thanks for sharing
You guys are truly the best - always informative, always engaging, and always empathetic in your delivery ❤️
I used to watch you guys leisurely but now, I whip out my notes and treat it as a mini lecture. Thank you for the informative content! :)
I have heard Dr Shah talk about Venn diagrams a lot since it makes things more organized and easier to understand. Please go ahead and explain us we are going to support you!
Amazing kudos to these doctors and their editors!
WE CARE ABOUT THE CHARTS!!!
WE CARE ABOUT THE VENN DIAGRAMS!!!
*claps excitedly like a seal*
19:44 I DO CARE ABOUT THE VENN DIAGRAM, I LOVE IT THANK YOU!!
A retinoid is a lifesaver. Anti aging, prevents acne, AND treats scarring ❤️
what retinoid did u use?
I loved the chart…. Always love a chart. Helps see the information in a more succinct way.
Complete Solution in one Video
Great Work Docs 👍🏼 Thanks
I actually have good news in hypopigmentation. I had many cause I picked my scars, well they're tiny but they looked very obvious. They're now gone from using hydroquinone, not completely gone, but I'm defo seeing the difference in just about a month. So yeahh
I’m so glad I found you guys. I’m in my early 30s, after 6 kids im still battling acne. So stressful, but I’m glad a found you guys I’ve been doing a lot of studying and buying these treatments.fingers crossed I have a solution
The video I have been waitinggggg fooorrr!!!! Thank youuuuuu so muchh!!! 🤗
Y'all, I really need this! I have acne scars and PIH for many months now
Differin love it, I am using last 6 months good results without any side effects
y'all are my go to when i need any skincare advice especially with what ingredients i should look for
Just wanted to share.
Do you use it everyday?
@@cl6188 yes, I apply lotion (these are on the legs and arms) because it can be pretty drying on the skin
The Topicals Faded cream has really made a difference for me too.
Where did you by the Faded Cream, miss? 😊
I had an allergy to seafood, so I got scars! But Differin and mandelic acid helped me
1: Microneedling
2: Chemical Peels
3: Lasers
4: Subcision
5: Retinoids
6: Chemical Peels
7: Silicone gel
Do retinoids really work ??
Very informative! So now I’ve learned I have atrophic acne scars in addition to my post inflammatory hyperpigmentation
“No ones going to care about our acne chart”
I do!! 😅 but on a real note this was a great video and your editor is doing a fantastic job 😂👏🏻 Dr Shah’s lasers were hilarious.
I literally had the same excitement!! Look at the overlap, nicely color coded- love it!!!!!
We do care!!! You guys are the best. Love the end credits!
I always love the videos. Re: the editing - I'd prefer it if the doctors weren't grayed out when the graphic rolls in. Drop down the bullets, play with the color and keep their Dewey faces clear. jmo for what it's worth.
Ehehehe
Where can I get that chart? I need that framed and on my vanity!
I live for Dr. Maxfield saying, “Here we go!”
Hi doctors, i think a lot of people would benefit from a video explaining ingrown hairs on the body and ways to treat. Thank you for your time!
Thank you!! I have that also🙄....what did you use to help the scars?
I had an impulsive picking d/o due to side effects from an antidepressant/sleep medication I took as a teen. It really left its mark on me and now it has been retriggered from trauma/stress...I'm so over carrying these scars with me❤
It takes time to treat acne scars.. but the right products will give u great skin all throughout the years.
My husband has acne scars and acne prone skin. He is consistently using the Banish Kit 2.0 and that helped him have good skin, less maintenance up to now. No need for expensive treatments or skincare
I care about the venn diagram!! ❤️ I 100% rewinded the video several times to try and capture all of the info when it first popped up super quick lol. So thank you for adding the complete diagram later for us to screenshot!
Suggestion, maybe every time you guys have a chart or diagram you can also post it on the community tab the same day you post the video? :) Also thank you for this video! I’m going to commit to staying consistent with the Scar gel/ sheets for my hypertrophic scars
Time stamps
@@leonardodavinci7524 I can find them with or without time stamps, only suggesting another place for us to reference all their diagrams and charts 😄
@@velandrea 2:16 for other people
@@leonardodavinci7524 @18:28 is better :)
Did lasers almost 20 years ago. Expensive for a 20 something, but do not regret. Not only did I lose the scars, my skin just stopped being acne prone.
What kind of laser you did .
Oh gosh! I have facing this kind of problems in my face right now. Tqs for this sharing. Hopefully my face can be back to normal again 🥲
I took a screenshot even before it said "screenshot this ".
Turns out I was more exited about the venn diagram than Dr. Shah. 😂😂😂😂
Hi, just wanted to drop in and say that I've been binge watching the skincare playlist and I absolutely love your content, its so helpful plus SO entertaining.. You're both hilarious :')
Video request-How to take care of skin systemically, as in diet, supplements, water intake etc
Love from India!
Would love a video on whether anti-aging products like firming creams, etc. actually work!
Great presentation. I've had acne since I was a teenager and I can tell you that I have tried so many treatments but you really made the recommendations more obtainable. Unfortunately, it's not so much the expense of the treatments but so many dermatologists have their own line of care and really want to see you products. I just want a treatment that will work.
OMG !!! It's like I can binge watch these guys for hours
My new netflix.
Woah Dr. Shah can shoot lazer out of his fingers, that's awesome!
Ha. I loved that part too!
Love your videos. I really like the way Dr. Maxfield looks at Dr. Shah
You could also try skincare channels from your particular country for products as well.
The best thing I ever did was seek professional help for my acne from a dermatologist 🕺🏽✨. Love watching your videos! It’s like I have 3 dermatologists 😂.
How did it go has it helped ?
Yes @@sk-beast9968, it did. I achieved acne-free & pigmentation-free skin under my in-person dermatologist.
@@MoniqueXSM do your insurance cover it Or did you pay out of pocket? I want to visit a dermatologist but don’t know how much it will be since I don’t have insurance 🙁
Hey @@dee1921, best to check with your insurance provider on what exactly your policy covers. My insurance doesn’t cover the procedures but does cover the prescription medications. Everyone’s insurance is set up differently though.
Thank you for providing videos with acne/acne scar tips. My 20 yro son has had bad acne since he was 14. I think he's embarrassed and just cannot be bothered by going to see derm. even tho he has great ins. He has really bad hyper-scaring now on his shoulders, back and some on face. I feel terrible for him. We are going to try the scar away for now. Gave him a tube of differn for his face. Thank you again!
once again understanding the science behind this helps soooooooo much!
Have you ever had a patient walk into your office and say “You wanna know how I got these scars?”...
Yall should go live and maybe go through emails that get sent to you for skin advice? Like in DEPTH morning and night care and products that could help. I would personally love to watch that and learn :)
Would love to see a video on dark circles and product recommendations to help visibly reduce the appearance of them. Also, products that would not be good (bad reactions) for daytime and nighttime skincare routines if there is any 🙏🏼💕
Thank goodness that I actually have at least one product they mentioned for the scars.
Please do a video with your favorite eye cream/ treatments. Not just for puffy eyes and dark circles but also for fine lines. I feel like the only eye creams I find are for puffy eyes/dark circles and I don't have either. Thanks you guys! Love your videos!
Omg thank you for the hypertrophic scar recommendation. I have it on my chin and it never was in the strophic acne scar category. Now I know to at least get the right treatment to try and flatten up more. Going to buy it ASAP!
