So SO SO Much man I had neck injury and was depressed then it got better and in some days injured my back squatting. Low back pain is the worst. i feel broken it is making me tired faster as well i just want to lay down and then i go to sleep
I’m laying on the floor my back just went out . So painful can’t even breath. This video gave me the courage to try to get up still can’t but now I know not to panic . Thanks! Still laying on the floor lol :(
was taking in sunshine on stairs and then couldn't get up. waited 2 hours for mom to come home to give me some med so could move little bit and get to bed. 5 hours in just laying on bed now.
I threw my back when trying to retrieve my earbud from under my dresser, over extended my back. It's been 5 days dys now & I'm struggling to get better.
My back definitely went out 2 months ago with massive debilitating spasms due to my left SI joint I could not get up from the floor and actually needed help and when I got to my feet it was still painful! I went to a chiropractor for relief and he did nothing to help me. All he could do was put some ice packs on my back while lying on the table and getting up was horrifically painful and I left with no relief The next day after still no relief I ended up in the ER because the pain was so bad and finally got relief with a shot I started physical therapy shortly after that and what I found was PT is a far better option than chiropractic care which I’ve done off and on for 30 years. Are there good and bad chiropractors? Of course and the same can be said for physical therapists but for my money and experience, physical therapists provide significantly more knowledge and understanding of treating the body and getting to the root of the problem Here’s what I’ve learned that has been life changing in working with a weak back and even hip osteoarthritis; Strengthening glutes is EVERYTHING along with strengthening your core and specifically your transverse abdominis When these are weak, it throws your body out of balance and the muscles that should be working are largely silent and the muscles that shouldn’t be working like your quads and hamstrings are over stressed which affects your hip flexor muscles and in the end, your back and hip pay the price I am on a wonderful journey of recovery thanks to what I’ve learned
My lower back and neck have been a problem all of my adult life. I'm 6'6"... so cars, bathrooms, kitchens, et al - none of them are designed for tall people. Trying the knee-to-chest technique... thanks JO!
I threw my back out walking up the stairs today with a cup of hot tea in my hand and my water bottle in the other. Somehow I had the sense to set the tea down before I fell to the floor. I cried in pain but lugged myself into the car and drove to the chiropractor. It helped SO much and felt so satisfying. Still having some pain but he told me to ice 20 mins on and off, then come back in a few days. Looking forward to feeling better.
Every time I wake up with sleep deprivation, upon the first movement I make getting out of bed I throw out my damn lower back. What the heck? Thanks Doc!
I just turned thirty and after jumping a few times on a trampoline moments later I was curled up on the couch and couldn’t move .. it took me back to birth contractions the muscle pain made me feel like I was dying and afraid I wouldn’t be able to walk again it’s one week later and I’m still in pains but walking while on a pain killer praying week two will be fully recovered .. I’ve read it takes up to 2-3weeks to be healed
I’m 28 and it just gave out when I bent down to pick up a disc when disc golfing. Fell to my knees in pain. It’s been a day later and it hurts most when I am laying and have to move.
Was using a sledge hammer to beat large steel spikes into the ground and because of the angle and rocky soil I had to get on my knees for the final strikes. The last one I swung on threw my back out so hard it bruised. Put me down for days.
Yiur back went out and it bruised ? Wow. I just threw mine out again. Been about a year. Moving logs and firewood lately. Not even working that hard and it’s out again. I think I need a chiropractor to see if I can get some lasting relief
already back on my feet after a few hours, mostly because of a storm i had to watch and help everyone to shelter with, but man, that first pop did NOT feel right, and immidiately i knew if i had sat down, i wouldnt have gotten back up, so i finished moving the king size mattress i had in hand, and then let the excoriation begin. all said, dont be afraid to ask for help, or even wait for help, i should have, now my job hunt has to wait a few days because im not bending over until i know that i wont get absolutely shocked with pain.
Thanks. I threw out ny back and it was devastating. I treated it as a muscle spasm and it got better in about a week. It was so painful at first. But its slowly subsided
My back literally gave out while I was pouring a smoothie. Something I do everyday. I have no time for dealing with this, I have a full day ahead of me, stuff to do. UGH.
Same. I dont wanna lay in bed all day but I'm no use at work. I'll do some back exercises and hope that helps and hopefully be back to work in a few days
This is the third time I have threw out my back. I just threw it out this afternoon just trying to take a sock off to take a shower. Im 23 and I needed my mother to help me shower...Im not sure if this is also an issue with my back going out so much but I have the curve of the spin (idk how to spell the real word) and its pretty bad near my tail bone (thats where the curve is) and thats where I threw out my back...It hurts so much to lay down or walk or even try to use the bathroom..I need my mother to help out :(
I'm sorry Man ..get an exray they can tell if the curvature is abnormal. Once u heal do yoga for lower back and core. Ice to feel better then heat a day later
It's been 8 months since my back went out, and after the pain has healed, I found out that I lack neural co-ordination due to muscle adaptation. And that almost devastated my whole body, shoulder, neck, back, legs - everything's affected. Is there a way to regain my co-ordination or do I have to live like this?
balance and yoga type stretches can be helpful. Think slow and controlled movements. body awareness is important which makes yoga a good choice. Just be careful when finding a good yoga instructor, they're not all the same.
I just had this happen 20 minutes ago and I'm screaming in pain. I also have crps if you know what syndrome that is, used to be called rsd... This is horrible
what level of rest do we need if the symptom is moderate? Staying too long on the bed is not a good thing for the back, but when right after an injury, is staying on the bed for a couple of days and trying not to irritate it again a good choice?
Hi Jony, You're correct that too much bed rest is not good most of the time. Moderate symptoms usually only need 1-4 days of rest, depending on how symptoms are progressing. If symptoms continue to progress or pain does not lessen with corrective stretches and exercises, then an evaluation will be helpful.
I have never once thrown out my back lifting anything heavy it's always been something stupid and mundane like the last time I threw out my back it was standing up from the toilet the time before that it was picking up a sock from the floor I left hundreds of pounds I am not in bad shape.
Epilepsy, you said that time till heal all things. But I have been diagnosed with Epilepsy ever since 1992. And judging by your words, I do not seem to be getting any better.
What are some of the best exercises for the low back to prevent spasms? It is very unclear in the UA-cam fitness world what is good and what is dangerous for the low back.
Thank you for your question. I would like to make a video for you and post it within the next couple of weeks. I'll be out of town, but plan on making a video for you ASAP.
I did this 10 days ago lifting my baby off the floor in the middle of the night (nappy change). It was so bad I couldn't bend and I begged my partner to stay home from work to look after the kids. Anyway he refused. I was forced to bend and lift the kids all day (8.5kg baby and 16kg toddler). The back pain became constant and today I still have back pain that's just there even when I'm not bending etc. Will I ever heal from this now?
This happened when I was coming down a ladder, suddenly my back just got thrown out. I managed to crawl my ways back upstairs and my grandfather called 911 when I still couldn’t move after an hour. I was put on a blanket to the lift in my room and that was agony! After a few hours at the ER and some volume I could move to my back. Got a shot of morphine so I could stand up and will have to use a walker for a few days to walk around till I heal up.
@Christian Jeffress Lots of bed rest? I'm see chiropractor in the morning. Really sucks! Worried about my job but would only make matters worse being a welder.
@@jesseaustin8463 ouch, definitely not a job that works well with a back spasm. What helped for me was a heating pad, though I had to go to the ER first, and they gave me some pain medicine as well. It took me about a week like I said, but that can change from person to person. The heating pad helped a lot for me, which is something that can be found at CVS I think. Combine that with the pain medicine, I could start moving around and walking in about two days, and feeling a bit more comfortable around three, but not really able to bend over much. Even after I was fully recovered, I was cautious, just out of nervousness of it happening again.
@@lotus_puppy if you can hold it for a longer time and then throw it back same way with maximum intensity after several days without medication and You may feel better than previously . Before use the technique take advise from a proper doctor 😂
It's hard to tell sometimes, and most of the time they overlap. I can't give you one thing to look for. It requires talking about what bothers it, and what makes it feel better along with an exam.

This has been happening to me for years. Finally it’s happening multiple times a year. Disc bulge at L4/L5. Surgery is the only option.
Does sitting for long periods of time make you more prone to these back issues? I sit a lot at my job.

Ice it and if u can get a massage gun from Wal mart. After the pain is more tolerable see about seeing a chriprapractor..I'm sorry
I literally just sneezed while getting milk out the fridge, since the fridge is shorter than me I have to bend over to access it
Disc bulge or pinch for me… only thing that ever helps is elevated legs and waiting for the inflammation to subside
What about mid back pain just below the shoulder blades? Only on one side. Thanks!
