Talking of the pain level, you said on a scale of 0-10 it's a 15, that's exactly what I have been experiencing for 5 - 10 seconds at random times when I just happen move in such a way to set off an episode for the past 3 days. I couldn't even get into the car yesterday to visit the doctor! No problem sleeping which really surprised me. I've got 10 days to get better or I won't be going on holiday. All because I moved the vacuum cleaner to the side to get to the front door..... unbelievable! Thanks for posting.
This happens to me once or twice a year. Interestingly, after I stopped doing yoga, it hasn't happened. So I think because I have poor lower back mobility, the yoga was irritating my nerves. Anyway, when my back goes out, I've tried doing nothing and also tried doing my regular yoga/Pilates/ weight training. It doesn't seem to make much difference. It just takes about a week to 10 days to heal on its own schedule no matter what I do.
Try adding leg lifts on your stomach (video below), if you don’t already. It’s been shown to reduce back pain episodes by activating the deep back muscles that get shut down after the first episode of back pain!
@@robdrenningpt Thanks. In Pilates I do an exercise in which I lift both legs simultaneously, while also lifting my arms that are straight out in front of me. Looks like it probably hits the same area.
I had severe back pain for 4 days and I'm doing the exercises but could not walk without pain. So I took 2 tennis balls and put in a sock and put them in a belly wrap and the pressure of the tennis balls against the lower back has reduced the pain so I can walk.
This just happened to me at 8 weeks postpartum. Was changing the baby and I was brought to my knees! (But luckily baby is safe and husband was there to help!) The pain felt like back labor all over again! Icing it now and stretching- just want to be able to hold the baby! Thanks for the tips!
I have finally found the cause of my pain. Good grief! After searching for a week waiting to get into see the chiropractor. I'm reassured to know that there is no structural damage.
I was on vacation for 2 weeks, first day back at work I blow my back out from reaching down to grab a piece of paper… in horrific pain these past 2 days… losing hope but your video has brought some light into my situation. Really hope this works 🥺💪
@@robdrenningpt so far i’m progressing little by little. Still achey but def not like the first 2 days. Would you recommend sitting up straight or in an Indian position or is that bad? Thanks again Rob🫡
Sitting up straight would be better. Small pillow behind back, sit on a pillow to make yourself taller so the hips are above the knees…best way to sit!
Thank you for this video. It has given me some reassurance. I bent over to put my shoes on this morning and felt an explosive pain in my lower back. Like being hit with a baseball bat and electrocuted at the same time! Trying to get up and move is the hardest thing. Hoping these exercises help relieve the pain and ease the muscle spasms.
Thank you so much. I found just what I was looking for in your video, especially the gentle exercises as I know these can work really well, from a previous time many years ago. I have hope that it's just a minor injury and will keep moving. Thanks again.
Yours is the most helpful video I have found. I am comfortable sitting down. But when I stand up, I find it hard to stand up straight until I walk for a while. So do you have any exercises to do when one is sitting down. I find it difficult to not ever sit down.

So I found the exercise was good to do in a really hot bath and then also found that before I found this because I was compensating with my walking I actually started to make it worse in other places from shifting my weight, so keeping normal posture really helped even if it hurt like heck...
@@robdrenningptit's been 6 days and last night was bad bad. I sleep on my back with pillows iund knees.. could it be my legs are not elevated enough..I don't want to take muscle relaxers
Yes it could be that you need more u see the knees. Some people also just can’t be flat, especially if there’s any hip tightness. A recliner could be your best friend for a couple nights!
@@robdrenningpt yes there's some hips tightening especially when walking for more than like a block and a half smh ..thanks..do you ever recommend muscle relaxers
Prescribing meds is not in my scope of practice. However, in my experience most people report muscle relaxers aren’t helpful with this acute pain. The source of pain isn’t the muscle, so it makes sense
It's hard to hear "don't just lay comfortable". D: darnit but it's so much more comfortable this way lol. Not the first time my back has gone out, I'm at the "can't stand" phase, but I can already feel these exercises helping ease the tension. Thank you :)
Found this video at the right time. I am going through this issue currently and your video is really helpful. Could you please share some more simple exercises to recover from back injury. Thanks.
Yes I’ll do one with more back exercises! Here’s a starting point in the meantime! Easy exercises to heal your discs! ua-cam.com/video/xPUHxQFVN64/v-deo.html
I feel severe lower back pain when rising from sitting, and when trying to stand fully upright. The pain worsens the more I bend backward, improving from slouching forward. The pain is also much worse when lifting anything. I feel almost zero back pain when sitting or laying down. I know rest is important however I also know not enough activity also weakens the supporting muscles. What do you think is causing my lower back pain? Does this sound more like muscle/tendon/ligament strain or disc related? What can I do to help it heal? What stretches or exercises help the most?

Sounds exactly like the joint strain I was talking about in the video, those movement exercises are the starting point, adding gentle press ups on your stomach when they become painfree
I just had that shocking pain yesterday again while sneezing,I laid flat on the floor unable to move.I somehow crawl to my bed n it was a relief to find your videos while in pain. Today m able to stand, sit and walk around for a bit.I wonder n stress out what should i do next .Please suggest!!

Hey ive really hurt my lower left back. Came off the treadmill and felt a twinge. Now I cant walk or sit. Only relief is lying down on my side but if I move an inch the wrong way..my back spasms. Should I just completely rest for the next 2 days
Sorry for the delayed response! ‘Active rest’ is what’s recommended. That means walk if you can, change positions periodically even though it hurts, but don’t try to do too much. Complete bed rest is not recommended! Hope you’re doing a little better
@@robdrenningpt Thanks for your reply...so I actually done complete bed rest up until today... I basically had no option. I was too sore to even visit my GP but spoke with him on the phone. I used heat on my back and started doing really mild stretching in my bed. I woke up this morning and to my amazement I was pain free. Tentatively took a few steps and I'm able to walk but cautiously. Such a terrifying experience.. In think I'm hopefully on the mend. Went to the doc who believes it was the facet joint and this was irritating the disc ..but need MRI
My GP had a good insight in to back pain as he had surgery on both discs. I'm 43...and he suggested giving up running and weight lifting...suggesting that the wear and tear on my back has made it too vulnerable to injury. He suggested swimming, cycling, walking and yoga/pilates. What do you think? I'm thinking I will go with his advice as this experience has been terrifying. Thank you for your great videos...got me through a tough time while bed bound 👍
Those activities suggested by your GP are great! And glad you’re feeling better! I’ve been there myself, it IS scary. Avoiding running/lifting for now is a good idea. It allows time for full healing and regaining mobility. However, in the long term I don’t really agree. There’s research out there showing repeated disc loading (aka running) actually INCREASES disc strength! More of wear and repair vs tear! It takes a while to gradually get back into it, but I run now and encourage my patients to do the same. If you do the activities your GP suggested with gradual return to strength/loading…you should be able to run too!
Thanks for your reply.... really appreciate it. That sounds like a good idea. I think I'll stick with swimming and pilates for the next 6 months and then gradually get back to light weights and maybe gentle jogging. I think losing weight will also help .... Less stress on the back. Thanks again and the content you share really helped me when I was in the depths of despair.
Threw mine out 3 days ago. I’d rather give birth to sextuplets than this pain! Everything you described, re: intense pain is absolutely spot on! And I alternate Ibuprofen every 6-8 hrs w/Tylenol every 4, during these first few days, and it HAS seemed to help w/inflammation. Also, essential oils are soothing. This is a good video and I will save it. Thanks for sharing!
What causes this? I'm young, very mobile and recently threw my back out and it was the scariest 48 hours of my life. I couldn't stand or sit. Just by getting into a sedan car and then, crack! Felt a full lower back strain. What gives?
Great question! There are several possibilities. The most common is what’s called the facet joints in your back. They’re supposed to slide back and forth. Sometimes they stop doing this and jam together instead. There are little nerves in there that then cause the sharp, ice-pick type of pain. Then your brain tightens up all the muscles around, and any slight movement becomes very painful! Yes very scary! Happened to me too. Does that make sense?
I hate to say ‘it depends’ but it does. 3-10 days is average. The sharp pain gradually changes to soreness. But usually the sharp stuff is gone sooner than you think
This is brilliant...THANKU!...i pushed n lufted real heavy things for weeks then bent over to put my shorts on and bang, felt like i tore loads of muscle but think it was only nerve pinch as u say
Brace is ok but only in the short term if you have to be more active than you would like to be. Not good long term because it lets your muscles off the hook Watch this one for sleep tips: Get out of bed faster! Sleep tips for back pain! Start your day better! ua-cam.com/video/BeLfrh-I8jE/v-deo.html
It’s been 18 days since I’ve threw my back out . I will not bend forward. I’m terrified to . Plus when I try to bend forward just slightly my lower back feels like it’s separating .
I was deadlifting earlier today and i went for one more rep.. felt a sharp snap and a it ran through my whole body. I immediately could not move, bend, walk or do anything that moves my discs or else the stabbing sharp pain would spark again. Im currently waiting in the ER. I am not sure about the « moving as much as you can » since the pain is humanly unbearable. It feels as if someone was stomping on my back nerves. What would you recommend?
Sorry to hear, thanks for sharing. Yea I know ‘moving as much as you can’ sometimes is none in the first day or so. Ice and whatever medications you get at the ER. Watch the videos in the low back pain playlist on sleeping, that will help you getting out of bed tomorrow am. Just try to stay patient, it will improve!
Great advice! Before my back muscle sprain, I lifted something heavy, but I was fine. Then I went into the living room, made a twist to pick up a remote control and then, BAM! It felt like I was stabbed behind my rip cage and I collapsed on top of my chair. I couldn't get up, walk or anything for a day. I kept irritating the sprain that day by accident, and it was an unspeakable pain, it was like a knife in my back, and someone twisting the knife violently if I moved an inch After 48 hours I was able to walk to the hospital, and found out it wasn't a tear, thank god! The doctor said it was a muscle spasm, another word for sprain. One week I can walk, and do low level weight training. What do you think caused it, the heavy weight or the twist?
Both! It all contributes to cumulative load. This video is specific to the disc, not quite your case but explains the idea! The real reason discs bulge in your back! Is it painful? Reversible? ua-cam.com/video/8hOeo0YOAUo/v-deo.html
Can you suggest me what kind of exercise might help me with body pain? Gym/Yoga/Pilates? I also have back pain that comes often and its in the same place particularly when I suddenly bend down(from a chair) or bend back( playing badminton)
Thank you so much! I have watched so many videos on back pain and none of them was what I'm experiencing. I leaned over too far when I stood up from the toilet and a knife pain shot through my lower left back through my front of my body. For a week I was unable to stand without pain, resulting in screams and tears. I started arching my back and keeping my neck parallel with the floor helped, but the pain sneaks back on a tiny wrong movement. I couldn't find one video that offered the best help save yours. I did notice walking helps and now I know to continue it. How long does this talk to heal? It's been a week for me and I'm still so terrified of sitting/standing, even though I managed to avoid the stabbing pain.
Glad it helped! Yea, great question, it can take a bit to get your motion back and feel safe doing it! Very normal but it does improve. I’ll share another video with one exercise that I still do since my episode, do it when you can!
@@robdrenningpt Thank you so much for replying back! And I look forward to the exercise. All this sitting caused my ankles to swell. Sorry I'm rambling. LOL Thank you again!!
Yeah This happens to me like once a year and it’s traumatic for several reasons: I don’t want back surgery, which I see as 6 on one side and a half a dozen on the other regarding effectiveness My family is used to me being productive and basically isn’t sympathetic Basically not having this happen is WAY up in my self reliant list of priorities So I appreciate this video as it feels true to my conditions for pain and recuperation, etc.. I’m nearly 60 but this has been a thing for decades if I think about it! The first time it happened my mind said, “I think I tore a muscle and somehow I need to stretch and relax these areas of tension as a preventative “ However, almost all people jump to the “Oh yeah, back surgery” Line of conversation… I had a torn knee that is now ok (touch wood) and everyone was telling me to get surgery then I had a torn Achilles, same story I’m hoping to sort of fix this This time around my recuperation seems quicker, and I suspect it’s because of certain exercises that stretch out and strengthen those areas. Anyway, I’m calling myself Lazarus lately, but this is my new channel ❤️

This just happened to me for the first time yesterday and I was sure I must have a herniated disc. I’ve gone on a couple long but easy walks and I’m surprised how much better it is. I do have good posture when I walk and reasonably strong stabilizer core muscles, otherwise maybe it would hurt more to walk? I will try these too. I’m grateful to know that that kind of pain doesn’t necessarily mean anything serious happened. 🙏🏽🙏🏽 It’s still sore but the intense pain is much reduced.
Hi from Uk. Don’t know if you’ll see my comment as you posted a long time ago. I had a fall a week ago and I’m a normally active 72. Paramedics checked me out and just arranged X-ray for next week. Your video really plain a lot to me after listening to others so thank you x
I’m 65 and this happens to me a few times a year. It can be so simple as bending over to get something out of the oven, just sitting in the chair relaxing…it doesn’t seem to matter! I also have Ulcerative Colitis, so when my back goes out,it triggers my digestive issues! I have been dealing with this for the past 3 days and have a rice pack on my back right now! Sometimes you just have to rest and ride it out for a couple days, then move around more when you’re able. Even doing things like shoulder rolls (moving the shoulder blades) can help. Alternate ice and heat. There are times when that’s all you can do, hang in there!

What happens when you throw your back out and then you wake up in the morning and your back is crooked to one side and you're shaped like an s now? Should I get out of bed and move still? My hip collapsed or something because I'm limping now as well.
That’s called a side shift. Basically your shoulders will shift away (usually) from the painful side. It’s normal and still ok to move! Limping is also normal, back joints and muscles can refer to the hip as well. Keep moving as much as you can!
Oh man this happen to me today at work lifting a heavy piece of granit right after i put it down i tried to turn around and that was it i couldbt move anymore .13 hours later feels like its gettin worse i will try these extersises tomorrow i have to get back up asap and back to work. Very normal! Pain recurs and gets worse every time because muscles that support you get shut off. Then they don’t turn back on again until you tell them to! The last episode I had was from picking up a lampshade! Watch this video, once I started doing this, my episodes stopped!! Of course it should me pain free to do, lmk!
Oh my God it is the worst! I did this just last night just getting up off the bed to go to the bathroom. Getting into bed and out of bed now takes tremendous effort. I literally have to use my arms and lift my butt up off the bed, place my legs onto the floor, and time it and breathe just right before I even stand up. The twinging is the worst.
Some people have 2-3 days where moving is very tough, some less than that. Getting out of bed in the am will be the hardest thing. If you can do that, work should be doable, depending on what type of job you have. I did it once and then had to move an entire apartment the next day. I used an ACE wrap as a brace and was able to get it done. You could try that if you have a physical job. If you sit a lot, keep support behind your back and move/walk around as much as you can. But most likely there will be some limitations to your day tomorrow. Let me know how it goes!
Hey Rob, is it normal to feel pain while or after sitting down? I’ve been getting better at moving around but sitting is what I just can’t seem to do just yet, getting in the car is the worst. Don’t know if I should even be attempting to sit? Been about 7 days for me now…

I just came across this video in a time of need! love these exercises. I figured id ask, even if you don't have the answer. If throwing you back is related to your joints, and I just got a medial branch block 2 days ago and then this happened, does that mean it didn't work? I guess I'm just trying to find answers. Thanks anyways for this amazing video.
@@robdrenningpt that makes sense. I guess in my mind I thought " why would I pull my back if these blocks are meant to help" but you answered my question. thank you :)
Good question! As soon as you can without sharp pain. Soreness is ok. You should not feel worse after doing them. I’ve had episodes when I started them the same day, another where I had to wait a couple!
What if I have all the symptoms mentioned in the video, but in over 20 years I still suffer with lower back pain right in the spine area? My doctors refuse any help and say I just should do stretches and strengthen the lower back muscles. At he moment I walk like and old person due to the back pain that is not allowing me to stand up straight 😅
😢 I've done that, too, and it absolutely terrifies me because 1) My dad threw out his back from a sneeze, ended up having 9 back surgeries and was permanently disabled and 2) I'm a hard sneezer who has really bad allergies all year 'round 😫
I appreciate the info, I get them once a year at least. I also just have a stiff ache constantly. I wear a back brace to do minimal things simply because I have had my back go out. I decided to lay and let my disc heal not eating or drinking because it's just impossible to get off the floor. It's been 4 days and I really can't stand or crawl or roll to get any water. I'm thankful I came across your video, I'm doing the knee sway now. When I have enough gusto to get on my side I'll try the other one, it usually takes about 7 days in bed... But I know I won't last not drinking water that long... Again I appreciate your knowledge.

Ive just put my back out 5 dayx ago i have back arthritis and hip issues i constantly have back pain but throwing my back out is so painful and scary because i pass out..
Thanks for the helpful video. If you move around and the pain is maybe 80% of what it was when it 1s thappened a few days ago, is the pain a signal to stop and get into a postition that is pain free?
Good question! The answer is no…most of the time. It’s ok to do things that cause some pain or soreness. Honestly, almost everything does when you have a back injury! The pain is not a sign that something is being damaged. BUT…getting into a position that’s pain free is also good. Simply because it hurts less, which means improved mobility etc. Think of it as it’s OK to push to pain, but not through. Kind of grey I know but hopefully that makes sense! Lmk if not
This happened to me at the gym doing the rdls and now I’m watch your video it hurts really bad were I feel like I can’t walk I’m locked so I’m going to do what you said hopefully it helps
Fell down the stairs a few days ago. Was cleared for any broken bones or fractures but that fall definitely took my back out. Gonna try these movements.
@ManuelCamarena0725 I am 100% better. In the 1st week, I got a shot of steroids from my doctor to reduce inflammation and that helped a lot too but I was persistent in moving and doing exercised like this 3 times a day
Good to hear from you Coach. I have pain in my back a bit in the right side of the waist especially when I bend down to pick something, and when am driving is even worse I like to do exercises, like running, jumping some push ups, My question is should I stop exercises? Thanks
Hey! No, don’t stop exercising unless those things specifically hurt you worse, otherwise they’re not harmful. Generally speaking try these things: 1. Prone press ups in comfortable range (on stomach, press your chest up to arch your back…you don’t have to straighten your arms all the way). 15 reps 3x/day including before bed 2. Avoid sleeping in the fetal position. Bring the knees down if you’re a side sleeper 3. Car. Lean the seat back as far as you can and still reach the wheel. Sit on a pillow to be taller and smaller pillow behind the back 4. Last, try the video below. It’s what I do for my back issues. Hope that helps!!

This just happened to me at 8 weeks postpartum. Was changing the baby and I was brought to my knees! (But luckily baby is safe and husband was there to help!) The pain felt like back labor all over again! Icing it now and stretching- just want to be able to hold the baby! Thanks for the tips!

Yours is the most helpful video I have found. I am comfortable sitting down. But when I stand up, I find it hard to stand up straight until I walk for a while. So do you have any exercises to do when one is sitting down. I find it difficult to not ever sit down.

I threw out my back four days ago and went to the hospital. The doctor said to do nothing/ lay in bed for 48 hrs haha
ER docs are great at keeping you alive, not treating back pain. Unless you absolutely have to, do NOT stay in bed all day!!!
So I found the exercise was good to do in a really hot bath and then also found that before I found this because I was compensating with my walking I actually started to make it worse in other places from shifting my weight, so keeping normal posture really helped even if it hurt like heck...
Good for you, find what works!!

So my stupidity of forcing myself to move was the correct choice then
Not an easy choice to make!

What if it hurts when you push your back into the bed and arch it?
If it’s sharp, don’t do it. If it’s just sore, you’re usually fine to do it. Nothing should ever feel worse overall afterward
Can barley walk and the exercises were painless and do wonders
Awesome! Glad to hear!
Thank you so much. I was worried what happened to me for past 3 days. And now just listening to you my pain is less.

Amazing advice. I was on the floor and couldn’t get up. Your steps helped me get up and now I’m moving around as advised. Very appreciative!
Glad it helped!
Thank you. Straight and to the point and very simple. That's what I was looking for.
Glad you found it helpful!
You explained what I’m feeling right now thank you. How long does this pain last?
I hate to say ‘it depends’ but it does. 3-10 days is average. The sharp pain gradually changes to soreness. But usually the sharp stuff is gone sooner than you think
100 percent pain free? Huh?
No sharp pains, general soreness/ache is usually unavoidable
This is brilliant...THANKU!...i pushed n lufted real heavy things for weeks then bent over to put my shorts on and bang, felt like i tore loads of muscle but think it was only nerve pinch as u say

I kept irritating the sprain that day by accident, and it was an unspeakable pain, it was like a knife in my back, and someone twisting the knife violently if I moved an inch
After 48 hours I was able to walk to the hospital, and found out it wasn't a tear, thank god! The doctor said it was a muscle spasm, another word for sprain. One week I can walk, and do low level weight training.
What do you think caused it, the heavy weight or the twist?
Both! It all contributes to cumulative load. This video is specific to the disc, not quite your case but explains the idea!

Ahhh damn! Been there, hang in there.

This happens to me like once a year and it’s traumatic for several reasons:
I don’t want back surgery, which I see as 6 on one side and a half a dozen on the other regarding effectiveness
My family is used to me being productive and basically isn’t sympathetic
Basically not having this happen is WAY up in my self reliant list of priorities
So I appreciate this video as it feels true to my conditions for pain and recuperation, etc..
I’m nearly 60 but this has been a thing for decades if I think about it!
The first time it happened my mind said,
“I think I tore a muscle and somehow I need to stretch and relax these areas of tension as a preventative “
However, almost all people jump to the
“Oh yeah, back surgery”
Line of conversation…
I had a torn knee that is now ok (touch wood) and everyone was telling me to get surgery then
I had a torn Achilles, same story
I’m hoping to sort of fix this
This time around my recuperation seems quicker, and I suspect it’s because of certain exercises that stretch out and strengthen those areas.

Sorry to hear that but glad it’s improving!

How long does it take to go away? I’ve never experienced anything like this and I have work tomorrow.

Not that it didn’t work, the muscles can be affected by the blocks. So it can take time for your body to learn how to use them again.
@@robdrenningpt that makes sense. I guess in my mind I thought " why would I pull my back if these blocks are meant to help" but you answered my question. thank you :)
How long should i wait after the injury causing incident to begin the exercises?
Good question! As soon as you can without sharp pain. Soreness is ok. You should not feel worse after doing them. I’ve had episodes when I started them the same day, another where I had to wait a couple!
What if I have all the symptoms mentioned in the video, but in over 20 years I still suffer with lower back pain right in the spine area? I’ll throw out my back twice a year and the pain is exactly has you described. Been going on 40 years now. I figured out, that it healed faster if I kept moving, but now I will add those 2 exercises next time it goes out! thanks for the tips!
Try this exercise too (video below). The muscles in your back shrink when you have pain, and they don’t get strong again when the pain goes away. We have to wake them up again. This exercise has been proven to do that and reduce recurrence rates! Hope it helps!

Have you had an MRI done? If it happens multiple times a year there is most likely a structural damage or your muscles are incredibly weak.
Lmk if not
@@robdrenningpt Thanks
This happened to me at the gym doing the rdls and now I’m watch your video it hurts really bad were I feel like I can’t walk I’m locked so I’m going to do what you said hopefully it helps
Fell down the stairs a few days ago. Was cleared for any broken bones or fractures but that fall definitely took my back out. Gonna try these movements.
Let me know how it goes!
Same . Have u gotten better?
@ManuelCamarena0725 I am 100% better. In the 1st week, I got a shot of steroids from my doctor to reduce inflammation and that helped a lot too but I was persistent in moving and doing exercised like this 3 times a day
Good to hear from you Coach.
I have pain in my back a bit in the right side of the waist especially when I bend down to pick something, and when am driving is even worse
I like to do exercises, like running, jumping some push ups,
My question is should I stop exercises?
Thanks
Hey! No, don’t stop exercising unless those things specifically hurt you worse, otherwise they’re not harmful. Generally speaking try these things:
1. Prone press ups in comfortable range (on stomach, press your chest up to arch your back…you don’t have to straighten your arms all the way). 15 reps 3x/day including before bed
2. Avoid sleeping in the fetal position. Bring the knees down if you’re a side sleeper
3. Car. Lean the seat back as far as you can and still reach the wheel. Sit on a pillow to be taller and smaller pillow behind the back
4. Last, try the video below. It’s what I do for my back issues.
Hope that helps!!

Am gonna work daily on the tips given and I will get back to you with positive changes I believe.
Do you have any exercises that you would not recommend so as not to hurt my back!!!
A lot of appreciations from East Africa Tanzania 🇹🇿.
Nothing in particular to avoid. Even things like dead lifts are great if done properly! Just don’t do anything that hurts!
Bro your my hero ❤️
Glad it was helpful!
How long does lumbar pain usually last after lifting heavy object?
It really does depend. The sharp pain often a few days, soreness then after that for a week or two.
@@robdrenningpt What are the best exercises to make sure that it doesn't return? Thanks
This exercise has been proven in research to reduce future episodes, it helped me personally, and I recommend it to all my patients. It’s fast and easy:

This video can be a reason why you hear/feel the tearing sound
Mr. Drenning, seconds after the first excerise the pain was gone. I can´t believe it. How can I donate? I have been "throughing out my back" for over 10 years now as soon as I am doing any sports more intensively and I think now I have found the solution and I can start working out like I used to. May God give you only the best for you. How can I donate? Paypal? Happy regards from Germany, Amar
Edit: I have found the donate button! Thanks!
