In answer to your questoin, yes, you can just grab Maurits and ferrystone up and it will give the same result.
I figured it would work, just didn't want to say for sure since I hadn't tested it personally.
@@PanicRolling My question is Can I use the sealing phile to seal away a boss or Maybe the fake arisen or the queen? Will that affect the ending?
@@homunculus7I've tried this with two separate NPC's Disa and Martin(the guy who accuses Ulrika of treason in Melve). With Martin I captured him after he accuses Ulrika and stands outside her house, but he just appears the next day outside in a cutscene and my sealing phial was still in my inventory but empty. The same thing happened with Disa only I had her in the phial until she became relevant in the unmoored world for a cutscene. It appears that it is completely useless for important npcs.
Thank you for this guide. I've been looking for the sphinx but I keep getting side-tracked by everything else lol. One question though, she doesn't give you the infinite ferrystone? That's what some other UA-camrs have said you get for killing her.
Sadly there is no Eternal Ferrystone in the game (hopefully they'll add it later on)
The Sphinx's big chest has the Eternal Wakestone in it... and yes they were stupid to name it that. Especially since it isn't even Eternal. It's a single-use item.
@@PanicRolling oh really?? Yeah I hope they do add it later. And yeah the wakestone not being eternal is dumb
@@PanicRolling Curiously, the eternal wakestone unlike the normal wakestone can be used at the forger in checkpoint Rest town to give you a working duplicate. This doesn't work with normal wakestones as the forger will give you a non-working "wokestone" but the eternal one is a perfect working duplicate. Weird!

I've provided a couple interesting tibits in the replies to other comments about duplicating the eternal wakestone, the non-usefulness of using the sealing phial on important npcs, and the SphinxParent being in the moniker of any rented pawn(not just capcom) but my question is *can you use the thief skill plunder and steal the key from her?* I will test this in my 3rd new game plus. One thing to keep in mind though is I had trouble with this fight in that I tried to kill her, she just said something like "I tire of this game" when her health dropped to 0 and then the empty health bar disappears and she flies away(no key drop). It could be that I attacked her head to much as I didn't realize you were supposed to avoid that part of her body.
Yeh if you hit those parts of her body, she basically tells you that you failed the riddle and leaves. That's why people kept thinking they had to use the Unmaking Arrow to beat her.
I'm not sure about plundering the key...that could be interesting.
What do the sphinx di after you solved her second set of riddles? Do she just fly away like the first time? Can you grab onto her?

You didnt mention it, but isnt Sphinx parent pawn MUST be a Capcom pawn? Cause i swear i saw it in some video comments that some people making pawns with those names and they dont count towards the quest... Maybe im wrong...
The Sphinx Pawn I used in this video was not a Capcom pawn
@@PanicRolling The pawn does not need to be a Capcom pawn. In my new game + I set the MONIKER(not the name) of my pawn to SphinxParent and this worked for that trial.

But now I know what's behind the chests I can confidentiality say for the amount of work it's not worth it so won't bother with her
If I had to give some unsolicited advice, I'd say go at least do the Riddles of Madness and Conviction, that way you end up with 2 Portcrystals. Finding her would be the hardest part if you went this route.
@@PanicRolling thank you for the advice but unfortunately they aren't really worth it either because fast travel isn't a thing in this game
Like I get the whole experience kinda point behind it but eventually you seen it you get what I mean
Like I am lv 50 now I didn't really bother with the story yet end there isn't one enemy that can challenge me at this point
So I hope in the future they come with a ferrystone that doesn't consume
Will Martyrs Bolt work on her?
I actually haven't played a lot of Magick Archer yet, so I'm not 100% positive. The targeting of MA's skills are kinda crazy when precision is what you need, but I'm sure it can be done.
Just be cautious about where you're shooting her and you should be fine
Question. How’d you get the key off of her without using the unmaking arrow?
As long as you don't hit her head or chest, you can just beat her like normal.
The last part of the video is my entire unedited final fight with her. That's exactly how I did it.
