The damn Transmutation school should have the ability to manipulate the battlefield by turning one substance into another. Instead they turn into a bird. That's basically worse Gaseous Form. That's a Newbie Druid's shortcut ability. Where's Petrification on Touch, or something that makes buffs on allies give an additional benefit, or "Trash to Treasure" that turns all those cups and rotting vegetables into gold or some shit? Transmuters got robbed.

The funny thing about the Deathstroke/Deadpool comparisons is that they're not coincidental- Deadpool was originally created as Marvel's knock-off of Deathstroke to be strawman version of him that Marvel heroes could face. He only became a more interesting character when his writers also ripped off another DC character: Ambush Bug, who was so insane that he became aware of the fact that he was a comic book character and could talk to the audience directly. So, Deathstroke + Ambush Bug = Deadpool; and Marvel don't even try to hide it.

One note about the Disguise Self/Charm Person combo on Trickery Clerics- since Charm Person can make someone angry for being enchanted by you in higher difficulty modes, if you first Disguise Self before you talk to them, then when the Charm wears off, they won't associate it with you and you won't get the penalty of them knowing you Charmed them.

Telling a player that they've broken their oath without warning them that's what may happen is considered a dick move if a human DM does it. So it does annoy me that the game won't show what potentially drastic consequences of dialog options could be (same thing with "no I didn't realize this perfectly innocent dialog option counted as "flirting"). Video games have a reload system for a reason. Trying talk to an NPC and accidentally "stealing" the fork on the table next to them because your mouse was a pixel off isn't "going along with the unpredictable roleplay experience as it naturally unfolds!" like some people on the internet seem to like to imagine, and neither is "Ha ha you broke your oath get rekt nerd!" Which is why I've literally never played a paladin in D&D.

I don't know what this is proof of. The bans have always been shadow bans of your pawns being not hired. This video didn't show any proof of your pawns being hired by real people.

Isn't that the single most important thing and best point, actually hitting the target? You can't crit what you don't hit. Is there actual parsing that conclusively proves there is something better than hitting what you are aiming to hit? Tongue-in-cheek there, but the point is valid.

I heard somewhere that the mage hand counts as an ally and as such will grant you advantage on attack rolls if you keep it close during combat - thus making it easier to be able to use sneak attack. So maybe no so useless after all. I have not tested it myself though so don’t hang me if I’m wrong.

The rogue class feels neglected. Its missing a lot of things other classes have, like evasion stuff from Ranger that honestly fit more into the fast guy/gal archetype with uncanny reflexes. The subclasses need more work. It's still my favourite class, stealth archer runs deep in me

Just got into BG3 and my first playthrough is an Oath of Devotion Paladin. Loving the smites the best. And breaking your oath does need some kind of "do you really want to do this?' warning. I've broken it twice so far (I just got to the Shadow Cursed lands.) Having to re-up the oath is a pain but at least gold is easy to come by, even if I feel it cheapens the oath a bit by just paying the Oathbreaker off.

My first Tav was a rogue and now I have a hard time playing anything else. They were a good party face, good scout, and of course, a good killer. Multi-classing, I either go 5 gloom stalker/7 rogue (I go back and forth over thief v assassin) or 5 gloom stalker /5 rogue /2 fighter. Give Astarion the same build, pop potions of speed & elixirs of bloodlust, and most fights are done before anyone knows we’re there.

Yep rouges defintely don't want the fair fight. As for subclasses. Thief - in tabletop they are more about being thieves and good at item use. The Fast Hands extra bonus action is the primary reason to pick Thief. Arcane trickster - your rouge gets arcane tricks. This is the subclass you pick if you want spells. Assassin - This is the I want to kill that guy subclass. You are trying to get max damage at the beginning of a fight to take out a target. Some subclasses that could come from mods Inquisitive - really perceptive and can get sneak attacks easier. (Probably looses alot of value in baldurs gate 3) Master mind - good at helping allies, social aspects and learning traits of characters (not sure how valuable it would be in baldurs gate 3) Phantom - uses spirits for skills and sneak attacks. Has alot of utility in that it can pick a skill daily. Scout - moves quick and is difficult to pin. Soul knife - uses psychic powers Swashbuckler - this is a pirate uses charisma and is good at dueling.
