Absolutely worked for me! Like others, it took a little to gently get the case open (and I needed small tweezers to get the battery), but these instructions were perfect. Thank you.
thanks for that. I tink you should have said the positive side faces the back of the FOB with the FCC ID, and the negative towards the front with the three buttons and the simply safe branding
Looks like a simple explanation to an easy fix. I think I'll wait until the battery in this device is completely dead before I do this, I am prone to Breaking this little object when I try this.
Thanks for the info! The disposable mentality of these companies is killing me (us). More importantly, where can I find a multi tester like you have (RF, IR..)? -thanks
I completely agree. One of the reasons I make these videos and others like it. I use an RF tester extremely frequently and this is the one that hasn't let me down yet - ebay.us/1P0RrV
@@KeyFobRob and it worked! We always have lots of 2032s around so it was under two minute fix. Hardest part was finding a thin but reasonably wide screw driver. Butter knife would like work also.
2032 Battery you need - amzn.to/469tFfk
Excellent short video. Included all the essential information. Did the whole thing in 30 seconds
Glad it was helpful!
Nice. Just replaced my battery. The instructions are perfect. Nothing broke and was able to snap it back together again.
Excellent! Nice work

Worked for me. The case fought a little, but gentle pressure prevailed. Thanks.
Thanks so much! I was gonna buy a new one but your video saved me some money!
Great! Glad I could save you some cash
Key Fob Rob... You are the MAN!!!✊🏾🤝🤙🏾👨🏾🔬

It's definitely doable, but you're absolutely right, The controller is fragile.
Thank you so much! This worked for me.
Glad it helped!
Thanks so much. They said I had to buy a new one!!!!!
NOPE!! Just replace the battery and you're back in business
@@KeyFobRob thank you

Be sure to pry from the back side of the fabric loop. It's attached to the front side and prying there won't get you anywhere.

Worth a try because otherwise it’s disposable.
Yup - better than landfill

What an awful design. I change the batteries in all my car fobs every year or 2... why did they make this one so hard to get open??
I agree. It is fairly ridiculous
