Thank you for this amazing tutorial. It is simple and easy to follow. Instructions are clear. Yesterday I crocheted my first amigurumi ball thanks to you 💐
@@LusHandicrafts True but wouldn't that kinda just delay the issue? The same method to create this ball is also used to create flat circles so on a much larger scale wouldn't this method essentially create a cylinder, not a sphere? I guess what I'm asking is, is there a definitive method to crochet a sphere regardless of the scale of the project?
Bigger the base circle, bigger will be the ball. So just increase your circle size. Of course there'll be more rows and stitches as per the size. There are 3 basic formula to crochet a ball. 1. Increases till you get your circle base 2. No increase, work the same number of stitches for a number of rows and 3. Decrease in opposite manner as you had increased the base. It'll form a cylinder if your circle base is small and the body part has more rows than required. I hope this clears up a little bit of your doubt... 😊
@@LusHandicrafts Thanks for the video, it is really well done and easy to follow. I have one question about the rows in the middle (the one with just one sc in each stitch). Depending on the size you want your ball to be / depending on the size of your circle, is there a rule on how many rows of just sc I have to make? Let's say I do a circle ending on 12 x 1sc then 2sc, how many rows of one sc should I work?
@Ella H there's no such rules as far as I'm concern. A 12sc & inc will give quite a big size. I can't really say how many rows of just sc should you do, but try going for 20-25 rows, plus or minus few rows as per your requirement. You can see as you crochet and stuff along. You would roughly get the idea of when you'd like to start decreasing.
Please, use bigger yarn. It is really hard to see, 😢 I've been having such a hard time figuring out where to join and which stitches to start. As I yarn a ball, it somehow always either loses a stiche or gains a stich.
Hi Min Meowngi! It's the Same process for smaller balls too, just that the number of rounds will be lesser. The number of rounds you make before decreasing will determine how big or small the ball will turn out to be.
Sorry but I’m curious, if you magic ring 6 stitches, then single crochet into the first one, then single crochet twice into the last 5... that only gives us 11, not 12, right?
OMG thank I been searching for someone to really show the steps. Your make it so easy to understand. Thank you ❤️

Great tutorial.. thank you so much for your help ..

I'm glad it could help you in some way.. keep creating 😊
Excellent tutorial. Thank you.
This method clearly works for small balls but what about larger ones? like head-sized ones or exercise-ball-sized ones?
You can use chunky yarns for those sizes..

Nice. Thank you

In round 2, must i make 1 sc in the first stitch and 2 sc in the next stitch??
For round 2 you have to put 2sc in every stitch, starting with the first stitch.
Thank you super explanation.one doubt how to next round start.
One chain add not add
Don't add chain, mark your last st just to know where your row ends with a stitch marker and just continue.

Sorry but I’m curious, if you magic ring 6 stitches, then single crochet into the first one, then single crochet twice into the last 5... that only gives us 11, not 12, right?
SC twice into the first stitch too. That's SC twice in all the 6 sts giving us 12sc in total
Lu's Handicrafts oh okay thank you!!!! Great video btw
8:55 i don't get it so i need to do 9 single crochet for every stich and do 2 single crochet in 1 stich after doing 9 single crochet or what?
9 rows of only single crochet. No increase for 9 rows.
You can see the written pattern from my website. Link is given in the description
@@LusHandicrafts okay thank you so much
In the directions, it says to SC tog at the end and then ONE slip stitch. You did two slip stitch, any reason why??
Slp stitch is done to even out the level. It doesn't matter how many times you put.
I’m get smaller yarn tried this with a N and yeah got lost.
Hi Lovely Yaz! No worries. The 2nd or 3rd time always clears it better.. 💚👍

I am so confused.... Wth is the diff between one crochet and two crochet😕😐 and why does mine keep curving and hers doesn't in mad......
Hi, one crochet is putting only 1 crochet. Increase or 2 crochet is putting 1 crochet 2 times into the same stitch.
@@LusHandicrafts o ok 👌
Is this uk or us?
The terms are in US
@@LusHandicrafts do you know of any tutorials that do uk?
Sorry I have no idea. It's just the difference in the name of the stitch. The construction is the same though... If that helps 😃
@@LusHandicrafts thank you😁
What size hook?
You can use any hook size depending on your pattern. If you're starting out, it'd be great to begin with hook size between 4mm to 5mm
