I have seen WAY too many comments here about giving up crochet because you can’t get this magic circle. PLEASE understand that if you are an absolute beginner, you are not watching the right tutorial. You do not need to know the magic circle in order to learn crochet. Go through my FREE Learn to Crochet Masterclass here on UA-cam if you are new to crochet 👉🏼 ua-cam.com/play/PLmobLoMZ1riTNFsxCena7K93Zsls6F2CF.html

Hello! I’m sorry you’re having trouble learning, but if you are in the beginning stages of learning how to crochet, then you’re not watching the right video. This video is just to learn how to do the magic circle and you don’t have to know how to do the magic circle if you’re just looking to learn. If you’re interested, I have a free masterclass that you can watch here. ua-cam.com/play/PLmobLoMZ1riTNFsxCena7K93Zsls6F2CF.html

@@marybeckett4777 Hi Mary, I’m not sure if you actually watched this video all the way through but if you haven’t, you should. In the video I explain that the magic circle is a good technique to learn but it is NOT mandatory to crochet in the round. This is why I included two alternative methods. So there’s no reason to give up. Maybe give the magic circle a break and use one of the other two methods I explained

I just wanted to tell you that i am an extreme beginner and watched SO MANY videos and had to unravel my project countless times. Your video is the only one i found that has made sense and showed good angels so i could actually comprehend what’s going where. Being a full beginner I love that you taught this with only single crochets. Most of the circle videos do three chains and then i was so lost with them doing doubles and trebles like that’s too advanced for me at the moment 😅🤣 thank you for making this so comprehensive! I’ve been watching it on repeat at .5 speed 😂😂

What are your slowness and other agencies Orioles have helped other people out and when do you want another thing to find the correct you to just want you to help them make their beloved plushes that they can get out or leave it for themselves❤

I've never even heard of the magic circle until today. Looks interesting. I've always done the second or the third method, usually the second method. I've actually never had anybody teach me crocheting, I just picked it up one day when I was 14 and fiddled around with some yarn and a crochet hook making doilies because I thought it was fun. I just figuered it out by looking at other peoples finished projects. I decided to look at some videos and pictures today for inspiration, because I haven't crocheted in ages, just to see what ideas people came up with for kerchiefs and stumbled across this.
    :)
This is literally my first "lesson" since I started playing around at 14 and I'm now 47. Thanks for teaching me something new.

If you have a family member that knows how to crochet. Ask them for some tips! I find it a lot easier in person than online. And keep practicing! I ❤️ the magic loop. Once I was able to see where the tail is I had no problem. I think the common problem is not knowing what end to work with. Funny enough I can’t get the chaining and going back into the the first chain to work. I think because I’ve always went through two strands. Great video.

Exactly! This is the fifth tutorial I've watched! I guess no one attempting to teach a stitch has learned its best if the student can see the tail so they can tell which threads to wrap! Omg I use to know! Seems I've forgotten! It also seems we have many teaching that do I have a clue how to teach! Lol they are here to chat! One person I shut off after 8 minutes of meaning less chatter. She still hadn't started! Oh well tomorrow ill go visit my neighbor

    • @Sara-xk1ns
      @Sara-xk1ns 2 роки тому +1

I’m just learning how to crochet and one thing that’s helped me know which stitch to go back to is a stitch marker. I bought a bag off Amazon for just a couple bucks and really thought they were an item I’d rarely use and only experienced people used them….boy was I wrong. They’ve been a huge help!! And I’ve only made a few things so far lol but i will put a marker on as the yarn is still on the hook so I know it’s going in the stitch I need, or I’ll put it on as soon as I finish that last stitch of the row. Then when I come back around I don’t have to guess where to slip stitch or something. They are so worth the $3!

That was the absolute best explained demonstration of a magic loop! I'm 69 yrs old and I tried doing crochet about 5 yrs ago. I made a couple easy beanies. Some came out like newborn size. Not sure why. I tend to crochet very tight and then have hard time getting hook thru. I gave up on it but I wanted to do it so bad. Turns out I had a large brain tumor and just had surgery. I was hoping that it would all be so much easier for me but doesn't seem to be. I do think that your video made it very clear and you are a great teacher. I am going to keep trying cause I really want to be able to create things. I will follow you. Thanks for teaching!

Thank you for the other options for the magic circle 🔵 🔴 The 3 finger method and securing a stitch before letting go of the circle is the 1 that works for me. Prior to that I was definitely brought to tears and thought it was hopeless.
Thank you again for all your amazing videos!

The 2nd one worked much easier for me. I'll have to practice the 1st one.
Are you chaining one, before you start the next round? Is that always the case?

I got the magic circle first time round, practiced a bit, all ok. Now I got thinner yarn and am swearing like a sailor.... I remembered seeing your video and came back. I'm a total novice, so this is really appreciated

Your videos are wonderfully clear and well explained and close to the camera. There are so many videos that are not enlarged enough or the yarn is too fine. And I appreciate the encouragement you add to the learning process!

Thank you so much!!! 😊 I am not quite there but so far your video is the only one I have not been in tears over. It actually makes sense, you take the time to go through every single step. I had almost given up but now I think I am actually going to learn.

I watched about 8 tutorials on the magic loop and most methods were about the same. I would do fine until I got to making the first chain. I couldn’t get the hang of holding the yarn and struggled with getting the yarn through. I watched your video and did several in a row! Thanks!

Hey Beautiful! Self-taught crocheted here. My in-the-round crocheting always came out inconsistent. Decided to look for a tutorial, and found your alternative. Oh. My. Goodness. Should have looked this up a long time ago. What an easy aadjustment! Thank you so much! Now off to find a better way to crochet an oval! Thank you again!!

I learned when I was young to do a crochet line…never did anymore than that; then my niece asked me to teach her…took 10 minutes. Two days later I sprained my ankle, so I did crochet therapy…have no idea what I did, but I just played with the yarn and needle and taught myself to go to the next row. Then I just said what if I do this or that what will it look like? I have an interesting rectangle with different stitches that I have no idea what they are called! But it was fun! Now I’m ready to learn something like your magic circle ⭕️ “Not All Who Wander Are Lost”
    : To go astray ( as from a course ) :
    Thank you for sharing!

Thank you so much I learned from my aunt once and I made the body of a mini yellow pig. When I finished it I tried to make an ear but I didn't know how to do this without her help. We don't see each other very much so I can't do this a lot but this helped so much that after doing both ears I can finally do this on my own. Thank you so much again This was the only video I found that made sense. ❤❤❤
Edit I am now doing projects in alot of different sizes thanks to your help ❤️❤️
