- Today I took the Mini Max Grom Clone for a ride,
On this video I show what is like to ride a 50cc scooter
I did a top speed run, saw how much the speed decreases while going uphill and the speed difference of regular traffic compared to how a 50cc scooter accelerates
This is an Ice Bear Mini Max, Grom Clone, 50cc Scooter with the 139 QMB GY6 engine

I have the 50cc bullet (variant of this bike) Down hill i was able to get top 51/52 and my current top speed is about 37 at sea level. I weigh about 160. This is a super fun bike I'm excited to do small mods.
I kinda like this bike. Pretty much as a challenge. Where i live theres no bike lanes so id have to do a minimum of 40 to 45mph. Im looking at the rolling wrench 90cc big bore kit with cam and their performance cvt kit to start with and build from there..
I bought the 150cc mini Max a few days ago. Hasn't arrived yet.

Im thinking of getting me one since i live in a small town that is KINDA growing. Ill say its perfect for the city life and my area is growing. Now i dont have to drive far to other towns because there are more jobs available closer and this thing will do! Specially on bike Lanes thats what i noticed
Definitely get a big bore kit or save up for a 150cc engine swap

This might sound so dumb, so please be patient, but where’s the CDI box located on this bike?
It is under the fairings on the right side , below the rear part of the fuel tank.
You got to have that speed limiter taken out they put them in when they're going to the states

I am in FL and don't know the rules in GA
In FL one does not need to have a mtorcycle license, when the engine is 50cc or less
If you put a 80cc big boy kit on make it go a little faster

Yes, this is the GY6 50cc Chinese scooter engine and there is quite a bit of parts for it.
Some do a BBK (big bore Kit) which increases the displacement of the motor.
Some add rollers to help the scooter take off faster but then you will lose top speed. (I personally don't want to lose any top speed)
some add a bigger carburetor, Intake and a free flowing exhaust.
The final mod is to swap the engine/transmission for a bigger displacement one, like a 125cc or a 150cc (it's not as easy as some say it is)
Correct, it's not as easy as you'd think. I fudged up a brand new engine trying to install it myself for my vitacci spark 150cc. Still not sure why it didn't crank but I ended up finding some guys to bail me out and fix it. These little foreign scoots can be great, but be prepared for some 'trial & error'

I would suggest you try to ride one to see for yourself.
It's a great scooter to learn how to ride but it is very low on power.

My two friends who rode my bike weigh around 225-260 and they both had a nice ride and got up to 35/36.
I weigh about 250 and I have a few mopeds and I can tell you that it’ll go slower then him but you’ll still go like 32-35 so it’s really not that bad put some heavy weights in if you want speed if you want it to take off fast get lighter weight
I'm a 5'1 woman, you think it's too tall for me?
I don't think it would be too tall, but I would suggest going to a place where they are sold and asking them if you can sit on it to see for yourself.
On my prior video you can see my niece ride it and she is 5'3" 🙂👍
Definitely not to tall maybe alittle heavy but still not bad honestly
I’m 5’2 got the Vader 125 same as this bigger motor I reach with both feet touching the ground really comfortable and the weight it’s ok not heavy I can handle it easy
i THOUGHT THEY WERE 125 CC? wITH A TOP SPEED OF 70?
This one has a 50cc eng w/ a CVT transmission.
So there is no clutch or gears to change on this one, it is like a scooter but with the looks of a Grom
They do have 125cc versions
U kan go on the highway with it….,I did with mines… top speed 70
Not on a STOCK Mini Max with a 50cc engine.
This video shows the top speed and how long it takes to get there.
Even the new one with the 150cc engine would have a hard time getting to 70mph, unless it's all downhill w/ a strong wind behind.

have you verified the speed w/ a GPS? because they are usually off by a couple of mph.
The one on this video is a 50cc engine.
The 50cc Mini Max is NOT SAFE to take on the highway, even on local streets is unable to keep up w/ traffic, which is why I rode on the bike lane.
