- Plasti dipping is a super easy way to change the looks of your car/truck. I’ve been using plasti dip for over 6 months now and it’s stood up great. In the video I show you the proper techniques to get it right the first time. Thanks for checking out the channel. I’ve painted multiple vehicles when I worked in a body shop. Just FYI: It’s called orange peel. Looks cool.
Looks great, can't wait to try it on my car.
Looks great 👍
It does look really nice!
Looks awesome!
Thanks 🔥
Very nice! What kind of spray nozzle were you using? Where did you purchase it, please? Thanks & keep those videos coming!
I used a rust-oleum spray handle from Home Depot!
"Golf Ball" texture is called Orange Peel .
Awesome! I’m considering picking up a 2011 LIMITED. I think it’s the trailgrade? But my initial thought was too much chrome on these rigs. But I’m a little more certain now after seeing this video.. aesthetics aren’t everything to me of course and I come from older Toyota models anyhow.
That’s awesome! I’m glad my video helped you out! I agree the 4Runner (especially limiteds) have way too much chrome.
We are in NE too! Scarred to try this and screw it up!
how is it holding up?
How does it do in car washes? Same with the bumpers, does it try to peel off?
The emblem with its sharp edges does tend to peel but the bumpers have yet to show signs of any peeling and I’ve washed it in auto and touchless washes countless times with no problem.
Or orange to match ur shackle
I hit mine with a blow dryer on high from about 2-3 feet. Dries very quickly.
It was look rly cool if u did the “TRD” like red or something
I used a toothpick between letters
Cheaper than overlay
“The right way” proceeds to do it the wrong way
What is the right way?
Regular mat black with brown good
IMO. The right way would be to remove the badges and then paint them.
Actually suprising how it turned out, you could have done a better job taping off letters and atleast scuffed the existing logo.
Rrrr! No offense at all, but I hate when people black out their emblems and all, it looks so ghetto like Ricer civics
Blacked out emblems are especially popular with 4Runner owners but it comes in all kinds of colors. Whatever color you choose the technique is the same. I hope the video was helpful!
Not ghetto at all. Looks good
Thank you for teaching me a new term since I had to research what it was. I knew that I hated Honda Civics, but did not have a word for that monstrosity, but now I know. I think with the blacked out letters I guess it comes down to preference, however when the trend shifts again then many will be running back towards chrome and then back to black.
@@PurpleMusicProductions I'll admit, on some cars the Blacked out emblem looks good, like on more exotic cars like BMW'S and cars alike.
I debadged every emblem except the Toyota bull head on the back
