This isn't Democracy. Its Authoritarianism.
They created a community that gets together to complete objectives, brothers in arms and now they want to take part of that community out, they will not only lose the people that cant play, they will also lose people that lost friends cause of this crap
"You are fellow Helldivers in a fight against tyranny!"
*proceeds to enact tyranny against fellow Helldivers*
"I don't understand why you guys are upset?"
great video man, informative and interesting. you’ve earnt a sub.
Thanks, super appreciate it!
*I have no problem with Sony demanding us to create a PSN account and link to it but what's infuriating is that PSN isn't available in my home country and I'm not even sure if subscribing to a VPN would help resolve it from not getting banned accounts for doing so..*
Using a VPN to create a PSN account is against Sony TOS. don't do it bruv
I wouldn't have had a problem with it if they hadn't sold it in countries without PSN support. Now it puts people like yourself in an awful situation where it's a countdown to being locked out of a game you own.
And yeah, VPN is against TOS so even if you get away with it for awhile, you're always just risking getting caught in a ban wave and losing your game. For now we can just hope Sony at the very least waives the requirement for countries without PSN support.
As an update, on the HD2 discord their community managers have been assured that the PSN requirement won't be enforced for users in countries that don't have PSN access. Nothing official announced yet, just devs informing the CMs what to say.

I just want to continue playing this awesome game I've come to really love but I WILL NOT make a PSN account, just let me play a damn game ffs.
this situation sucks :(
i wanna love hd2 but i cant. i got the game and dlc abt 2 months ago and loaded it up for the first time, played for abt 2 hrs with a friend before we hopped off, got back on later that day, and then i got a black screen and it crashed on startup. about a week goes by of me trying to fix it and all and the same issue persists until it opens and i afk for abt 3 hrs while i go do other things, then i come back and play 2 hrs before it crashes unexpectedly and i havent been able to open it since. ive tried eeeeverything i can and it still dosent open. cant refund it on steam, and ive contacted arrowhead abt it but i didnt get a reply. the ~4hrs i did get to play i loved but man its hard to love a game i paid $60 for to have an issue like that with no fix. i'll have to redownload it and try again and if anything changes i'll come back and edit this. if you're reading this, pls like or reply to this so i can remember about it. thanks for your time fellow helldiver
edit: wow i didnt realize this is such a small channel, i didnt see the sub count until after i posted this lol. great video! i thought this was a bigger channel
Really sucks you are having issues getting the game to run, I hope some combination of driver and HD2 updates resolve your issues in the future. Super appreciate you coming over to such a small channel though, really appreciate it.
@@OujirouYT thanks for the reply, and no problem. You actually made it onto my front page of youtube so congratulations lol
As someone who cant legally make a PSN account this infuriates me to no end, A lot of people here are telling me to do some "workarounds" VPNs and getting fake addresses, all that jazz. Personally I just like to keep things legal, I dont want to be playing a game where im always looking behind my shoulder thinking "am i gonna get banned or not". I also cannot with all this "Sony doesn't care what address you put" or whatever, its clearly illegal and you are subjected to their TOS and when they do ban you, you cant appeal for shit and lets be real the game is not that cheap, atleast from where im from. People who still defend this move and say "its that easy to make an account you guys are so entitled" needs to pull it back a skosh.
I don't understand why people will just casually say, 'Just break the TOS, it's no big deal', when it means you can get your account banned. If you buy a game, you should be able to continue playing it without having to risk your account so PSN can get a bump in numbers, it's absurd.
Exactly man.

Unfortunately they just locked us out at the moment, I don't know the exact reason as to why, but the community right now is fuming.
This is solidarity for the people who would be essentially banned and their $40 wasted when the PSN thing goes live. As a US citizen making a PSN is annoying but not the issue here. Its the retroactive and mandatory nature the decision. I mean if they gave incentive/rewards for making and linking a PSN account but still making it optional then nobody would have an issue. By all means sony push your PSN l get it you want to get those PSN numbers up. Making it mandatory and selling to countries out of your influence knowing you would do this in the future is the issue. I love the game and but as an act of protest I won't be playing as much and leaving negative review. I have nothing against Arrowhead.
This is the way.
They wanted to destroy our fellow helldivers way to life. That could not stand. Also ban peoples from what? The game is coop with a black list. If you meet someone you don't want to meet again, put them in the black list. Eventually if they are assholes or hackers they will have to play alone.
