Lately Disney has been acting strangely. Its biggest studios have been putting out flop after flop, due to bad writing which puts political agendas over popular appeal. Why is this so? I have three theories about Disney’s strange behavior: erasing competition, “The Producers”, and money laundering. In the “erasing competition” theory, monopolistic Disney buys rivals like Lucasfilm and Marvel not to incorporate them, but to erase them. Their business plan is: absorb, expand, destroy. Bad writing and dogmatic ideology are means to that end. “The Producers”, by Mel Brooks, tells the tale of two corrupt producers who run a tax-fraud scheme for making money by producing a failed show. Disney could be doing the same. In the money-laundering theory, Disney spends money just to cover up the dirty source of that money. That dirty source could be larceny, or drugs, or human trafficking, or gun-running. The movies themselves suggest all four. The last two theories differ in that a tax-fraud scheme is official legalized decadence, whereas money-laundering is lawless free-market decadence. All three theories could be true. Disney buys up a competing IP and ruins it by making boring movies with ham-handed politics; this discredits the IP, and the blame goes to the useful ideological idiots who make the botch, rather than the suits who green-light the botch. Those suits shrug off the financial losses as investment in monopoly power, and they write off the losses in taxes. They also pay actors, contractors, directors, writers, staff, and themselves with dirty money, thus laundering it for their criminal friends-of-friends.

You have made a VERY important point regarding the rest of the people that work on the films/shows. I will sometimes have the disney trash playing in the background with the sound off because regardless of the inane and trashy script/storytelling/and character development, there are still incredibly talented people doing sound, music, camera work and designing spacecraft, weapons, costumes, and sets. There are professionals doing professional effects, lighting and makeup. However, when these shows and movies completely flop, the talented people behind the scenes doing movie magic get hit REALLY hard. Not fair. No one is winning awards for the effects department, because despite propaganda, these shows are not memorable once the awards ceremonies arrive.

It’s funny, it’s almost like they don’t want to make money. I mean what else would they be trying to do by alienating the majority of their fan base and insulting them. If 70% of your audience is white and you make a movie or show white peoples don’t like and on top of that insult them then expect to make 70% less then normal. Seems pretty simple to me but must still be to complicated for simple minded racist ignorant morons.

I don't know why you fret over a black person saying something potentially racist or rather that would have surely being considered such had it been uttered by a white person. I was born in Germany 20 years after WWII and for a large part of my life felt this guilt about what happened way back then. And there were people making fun of that or calling me Kraut even in jest and I took that on the chin cause I thought I deserve no less for what "my people" had done. So I guess white people in America would probably never take a statement like that too harshly cause in the end they may feel they still bear the common guilt for enslaving black people.
