At the guitar center i always go to i was playing it and one of the employees was singing along with me and we attracted a small crowd, so i guess my guitar center doesnt abide by the laws of the universe lol
One of the most beautiful pieces ive ever heard. Never underestimate just how beautiful classical guitar is. So pretty... Theres a reason why most pieces with classical has no words. And this is the best example
This was played at my Brother's funeral, he was a huge Led Zep fan. He'd absolutely love this version, incredible musicianship, the dexterity is just superb. Thank you for sharing ❤
I have to agree and regret to have not found him sooner. Inspired me to finally pick up my guitar and start playing again! I haven't touched it in many years...
This videos proves the undebatable superiority of classic technique in music. I think it is a valid argument for every instrument: you build for yourself a great classic technique, then you can literally do whatever you want.
What a lovely arrangement of a classic rock song. This one actually works. It also makes me understand just how well written Stairway really is. I heard chords and harmony lines I hadn’t heard before.
When talent and expertise is at this level that anyone with an ear can appreciate you'd also have to appreciate the expert's interpretation. It's the artist's interpretation that is the enjoyment.
Man! If I could only play like this! I've been playing guitar for more than 49 years and I play by ear only which means I can play along with songs playing from the radio, cd, youtube or wherever, but I know I will never, no matter how hard I try to be able to play like this man! He is very gifted!
The way he periodically speeds the song up, makes it a bit slower, adds his own twists makes it probably my favourite version of all, second only to the original
Jeez, you have to admire someone that can just play such a beautiful piece like this... He makes this look so easy... I never get tired of hearing this song in any variation
There's something beautiful, and very enjoyable about watching someone play an instrument they love. Anyone can pick up a guitar, but very few can pick it up and play it with passion like this. Especially when considering how long hes probably been practicing. Well done and all these years later this man is still in love.
I've watched/listened to this about 5 or 6 times this evening and come to this lay and subjective conclusion....while Soren is unquestionably masterful, the arrangement of this piece is absolutely sublime!
Hats off my friend , as a guitarist for 32 years I remember stairway to heaven and smoke on the water being banned from guitar shops ,but stigma aside,I was shocked how much I enjoyed nothing else matters ,basically beautiful take flawlessly executed my friend cheered me up anyway ,have a go at testament the ballad ,I reckon your style of playing would fit nicely with the IINTRO ,I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR YOUR TAKE ON IT ANY WAY , I think if u can refresh stairway heaven ,what can u do to something else ,have a look
Many years ago, I used to do what you do now Soren., and I held in my heart a quote from Segovia "feel the note" & from American guitarists "humm it" I guess they mean, no sticky! Get rid of it!
Sir, as a 45 yr player I have to tell you you have the finest touch on an acoustic guitar I have ever heard. I could put down my Hummingbird and listen to you all day.
I have heard SWH played untold times, and in different ways. This dude adds another level. His pace, and the clarity of the sound helped me to understand why the original composition remains a masterpiece.
Great performance. Just great. This man is obviously a highly educated musician. Only educated classic guitar players hold guitar and play in this way. My suggestion - try hear it at 0.85% or 0.9% speed. I'm a fan.
How someone holds the guitar usually has no indication of skill. Holding this style is indicitave of the flamenco style of guitar nothing more nothing less.
@@TheTheRandomShow1234You might be right. But then again, I can probably attach hundreds of video links showing that flamenco guitarists don't hold guitar the way Soren does. Holding a guitar neck to a 45 degrees angle on the left leg (for the right-hand guitar players) is indicative for people who studied guitar at schools/universities. For instance, this is a flamenco guitarist: ua-cam.com/video/ARngRnlhzZw/v-deo.html ,and this is not: ua-cam.com/video/YIGm5-hdl7o/v-deo.html - both excellent.
@@011obrad you are definitely correct I when I say flamenco I mean to say someone who Hs studied classical guitar or Spanish guitar they are almost the same and both style are known to hold the instrument at an angle . Do you happen to know why ? Other than comfort I'm guessing?
@@TheTheRandomShow1234 To be perfectly honest - I have no idea why. But my wild guess would be comfort as well (and probably easier touch on the higher notes). I might be wrong though.
agreed. Awesome technique and facility. But yeah, a little rushed. Just because you CAN play it faster doesn't mean that you SHOULD. Could have been a little more contemplative. But man is he good!!
The cleanest UA-cam version I’ve heard. Can’t knock on this virtuoso but I was wishing for the solo with split screen rhythm. Only because he is so amazing.
you know all those little adjustments to the original, the ones covers usually make, the ones that bug you..... none here. hats off all those tiny adjustments work towards the adaptation to a spanish acoustic guitar. brilliant version.
I’ve just ordered the sheet music for this piece. I am an intermediate level classical guitarist who loves Led Zeppelin. This arrangement seems to me like an excellent piece for the intermediate level guitarist because it includes several techniques that need to be mastered at that level such as barre chords, arpeggios, rasguado type strumming etc... It’s so nice to be able to practice these techniques while playing one of the most iconic rock songs on a classical guitar and make it sound so genuine. Truly superb arrangement. The video showing the hand positions and strumming patterns is also extremely well done.
Wow. Just wow. You must see his performance of "Nothing Else Matters", by Metallica, if you haven't already. If it doesn't bring tears to your eyes, then you are not human.
Guitar is like wine it get better as it ages. Is the best way I can give anyone advice. As the more you play the better your playing gets. Just like wine the more it sits the more it get better. Or whiskey in barrels.
At the end of every junior high dance this was the last song where I could finally get the courage to ask for a dance, Valerie Star - I hope you still remember me and laugh with a little smile.
He plays as if hes feeling every note in his soul ❤️. Absolutely amazing My late husband played and his guitars name was " Maria" Thank you for sharing your awesome talent .😃💖
He is so good. As a mathematician one sees exceptional people and you wonder how they do it. This guy has real class and would frighten off a lot of lower skilled people.
It's crazy how a video like this can both inspire me and make me want to quit guitar at the same time
My feelings exactly
Amen
Exactly why it’s so deadly to compare yourself to others
@@theethinethou exactly this, compare yourself to yourself in the past and you'll have a better time
You got to practice Bros. You think Jimmy Page got where he was without practicing? No Way.
Not many people will realise this (classical) is the hardest type of guitar to learn, much respect to this guy, he’s awesome!
👏👏👏
What makes it harder tho?@@u02920
But if you learn on classical, it makes all types of guitar easy
And much respect to Jimmy Page
Classical is actually not hard per say, it's being taught How to play it. Every style has its concepts that can be applied accordingly
As a fellow Danish man this guy makes me feel proud of my country
As perfect a cover as I've ever heard ... INCLUDING Jimmy Page !!
This is when right hand, left hand, ear and brain all work together to make EPIC music happen!
First thought: The last thing the world needs is another stairway to heaven cover.
Second thought: Subscribe to this dude.
This man has achieved the divine mastery of Guitar. One of the best wielders of the instrument. Stunning.
My guitar must be broken, it doesn't do this. Think I'll take it back.
Chance_the_Fapper right! Same with mine.
hahahahahaha
heheh! Good one!!!
Mi guitarra hace el mejor intento por sonar como Mr Madsen, pero no suena igual
Original
The only thing greater than this performance is the ENVY I'm feeling now.
LOL
His fingers are magic, and his smooth delivery of every note is amazing.
I don’t know why it took UA-cam 4 years to recommend the best guitar player ever to me... I love you, this is beautiful. Thank you
Love it! Plays it like he really has a great appreciation for the composition from Mr. Page.
Kinda makes you really appreciate the creativeness and talent of Jimmy Page.
1:14 Probably my favorite cord progression of all time. This song made me pick up the guitar.
In Guitar Center they let this guy play Stairway...
New Spin Party on...
No denying that...
That was all i could think the whole time! Hahaha
Hopefully after September We can really find out if it's aloud . But you can play Highway to Hell. 😃
At the guitar center i always go to i was playing it and one of the employees was singing along with me and we attracted a small crowd, so i guess my guitar center doesnt abide by the laws of the universe lol

Your right
YES, but.......I kept singing the words in my head as he played.......
Each note he delivers is like traveling though a well spoken story that you never want to end. When it does end you feel the need to listen again
What else can I say that hasn't been said already? Superbly played!
Breathtaking - the instrument becomes an extension of the body and doesn’t need to be grabbed or treated harshly.
This was played at my Brother's funeral, he was a huge Led Zep fan. He'd absolutely love this version, incredible musicianship, the dexterity is just superb. Thank you for sharing ❤
