Beautiful Hoya!!! I've had mine for over 8 years now and absolutely love it!! After watching your video several times, I propagated it yesterday as I had one of my long tendrils fall off. I put part of it in water and the other in dirt in a plastic bag. Hope they take and I can get babies. Thank you for your fun videos, so glad I found your channel!!
Oh wow! 8 years?? I bet it's gorgeous!! I've been getting some new leaves on my propagations so I am absolutely thrilled about that. Let me know how your babies do! Thank you for watching, Koni!
Your Hindu Rope is beautiful! Many thanks for sharing as well as for your tips and information. I resisted buying one for years due to her very crinkled leaves and my concerns about it becoming a pest magnet. I finally caved, bought a healthy one and never looked back. I’m so glad I did. She has been nothing but a joy to grow. 🥰. Thank you for another wonderful Hoya video! 👌🪴🥰
Love, Love, Love these plants I have 5 of them, and they are all like my kids.............SE facing window and humidifiers going. I just love listening to you. You really care about your babies!
Love love love that you have 5!! 🤩 I bet they are just loving all that sun and humidity too! Thank you so much for your kind words, and thank you for watching my video! Take good care!💜
Well, I watched your videos about the Hoya curly plant. And it was helpful. I've had my curly plant for about 2 years and it hasn't grown. I'm thankful it's still alive. It's facing a South window. It gets a lot of sunlight there but still no growth. I was

Thanks! Got one recently and had no idea what it was, but so glad I did! What is that plant behind your right shoulder? It looks like some kind of cactus with lots of little babies growing along the leaf edges. I looked through your videos and didn't see one about that one. Thanks!
The Australis is on my Wish List! I think I would just love its leaves! Sounds like I need to get one if it will grow faster than the others. I feel like I've been waiting for so long! Thank you for watching, Melissa!
Wow! You are so kind! Thank you so much! As for the singing…at this point, I really don’t have a choice anymore. It’s all my kids want to see in my videos. Haha! Thank you for watching, Karen! 🥰🥰
Enjoyed your sense of humor as well. I think I’ll invest in this particular Hoya even though I’m not into them. I really like those leaves. Thank you dear!
I knew I had to have one the first time I saw those leaves! This hoya has made me happier than all my other plants combined so I think it would be a great investment 😁 Thanks for watching, Yoly!
I've had my hindu rope for a year. Guess I have to just be patient, right! Thank you so much for your thorough information it really helped me with the watering and light.
Sure you can! Any time I wash off the leaves, I try to put it in a room with a ceiling fan so it will dry off the leaves! Thanks for watching my video!
Wow!! I’ve never seen a Hindu rope as an air plant! That sounds so cool! I only have experience growing them in soil. How is it doing? Is it putting out new leaves?
I got a VERY small variegated compacta and it has loved being outside and has 2 new leaves already. I am a Hoya nut like yourself. I have several varieties, my first being my Krimson Queen. Lately she has had some leaves starting to get soft and wrinkled a little on the back. No yellowing/browning leaves and none have dropped. Should I be concerned she is dying? What should I try doing to fix this? The newer leaves seem to be fine. Thanks! I have so enjoyed your videos.
VARIEGATED?! Gah I'd love to get my hands on one of those! and Two NEW leaves?! Go Chasity!! Hmm..I wonder about those wrinkly leaves. I wouldn't be worried about it dying since you are getting the new leaves, but that is interesting. My new leaves will come in pretty soft, but not usually wrinkled. I will pick leaves I don't like off of mine. They may even be healthy leaves, but if I don't like them, they are gone. haha. I don't like the idea of my plants giving their nutrients to "unworthy" leaves so I get rid of them. Hoya fixes for me: 1) More bright, indirect light. 2)Watering deeply only when soil is dry and its mature leaves are a little bendy. Also, if I'm ever worried they are stressed out, I won't fertilize them. OH, have you propagated her? Sorry about my lengthy response. Your comment got me interested haha. Thank you so much for watching!
@@happygreenplants6469 Thank you for reaching out. I believe I may have overwatered since I have noticed that my Krimson Princess has been doing the same. I had potted them together with a hoop trellis so they would intermingle with one another, but I think the pot was a little too big and, with all the soil, retained too much water. I have repotted and have been watching closely. Again, thank you, and I look forward to seeing more videos from you!! Love me some Hoyas!!
My compacta is my #1. Hands down my fave. It’s huge and just beautiful. I have never showered it tho but I’ve thought abt it many times. How long does it take for yours to dry and do you have tips to help it dry quickly? I’m nervous abt those crevices holding moisture! My Compacta is 3’ + long and luscious :)
SAME! No other plant has given me as much joy! I want to see yours!! 😍 To speed up drying, I usually water/shower it in the morning, and put it in a bright room with a ceiling fan. That way, it has hours++ of sunlight and air circulation. I don't normally put her to bed with a wet head 😉😁 Thank you for watching, Sandi!

I took it out of pot ,unbraided it ,ETC.,.To make a long story short, I basically killed it bc it's never been the same! I don't think it was root rotted. I think it was fine. I panicked. I feel like Im learning daily+ I've def learned from my mistakes:( ! I have lots to learn but hope to be a great plant owner 1 day;) like you!! And I love that plant! OMG it's beautiful 😍!.. I just really wish I'd have a lil luck so I could quit being so gun shy. I'm literally scared to do anything with plants now,lol...Thanks for your vid!! What's the easiest house plant for new plant owners to start with in your opinion?
Thank you, Somer! I am so proud of my hindu rope, and I can't wait to see what else it will do! I know you don't suck! I am sure it's those needy plants you've had to care for that sucked! I get rid of the plants that don't make me happy. Is that bad? I've lost two spider plants to my cat! She doesn't eat any other plant, but she would eat those! I even kept them up out of her reach. She went for them when I took them down to water. They are like catnip, I guess! Thanks for watching!
I just bought a couple lil cuttings, got online, first time buying from out of town I wanted it so bad. We were going away for 4 days and it was dry… I made the mistake of watering it before we left… she’s NOT happy. I tried repotting with a chunky mix and haven’t watered yet, hoping the old soil I couldn’t remove dries out a bit quicker…. Sigh I may have to try again
Oh no! Why must she be so moody?! Hey she could still shake back! Give her a little while to throw her fit in some bright sunshine, and maybe she will pull it together. If not, I hope you can find another one that will appreciate you for the great plant mom you are! 💜💜
I got one small cutting, and I tried to propagate it in water. It’s been just shy of a week, but the leaves are getting very soft and wrinkly. The cutting I had, only had one node in the water, so when I just noticed that the leaves are not doing well, I removed 2 more leaves so that there were more nodes in the water….. I am not feeling confident that this cutting is going to root before it fails:( I took the cutting off of a very large, huge 50+ year old plant and I really don’t want to lose it! Should I add some superthrive into the water? I forgot to mention that it is currently sitting in my greenhouse cabinet, under t8 led lights and at about 80-90% humidity. Any help would be so greatly appreciated- I don’t want to lose this plant!!!
Hey Nora! Mine weren’t doing anything either until I put a pothos clipping in with them. Sounds crazy, but they shot out some roots not long after that.
@@happygreenplants6469 thank you for responding so quickly! I actually have heard that before!! Do you think there is any coming back though, from soft leaves? When I took the cutting, they were tough and waxy, as Hoyas tend to be. Now they are floppy and not looking well
@@happygreenplants6469 the day I got the cutting I saw multiple UA-cam videos suggesting that I propagate in water, and most people reported seeing roots in 2 weeks. I think one of my mistakes was that I only had one node in water. Because it’s such a small cutting, I really didn’t want to remove any leaves in order to have more nodes in the water, but looking back, less leaves, but more chances to root would have been a much better option than more leaves on a failing plant! If only I could go back in time
Nora! I've been thinking about your cuttings. It just sounds so much like my journey! Mine were soft too, and I kept asking "how?" since the nodes were in the water!! It was like they just wouldn't drink it! Don't give up. Make sure those leaves are getting all the light and keep the node under the water and PRAY!!! You're doing great 💜💜
