Anyone who talks shit about this are just haters. These guys are 60 yrs old and still giving music to their fans thrash, mid tempo, bluesy, they create so much different style music for each to enjoy and I fucking appreciate them!!
You gotta be able to take criticism, music and art are both subjective and objective, and for the past thirty years, at least since the load sessions, Metallica haven’t done anything new musically, just same old thrashing about, shame really.
Epic song.. You Get thrash metal, heavy metal, harmonies, bass riff, if this song had been on ride,puppetz or justice, it would been Classic. 60years old and we got this banger🤘🤘🤘

This is the best of the four singles imo. I'll take this and lux both are solid imo. Let there be another 3-4 songs on the album as solid as those 2 (which isn't asking a ton) and I'll be a happy metallica fan

The core reason they hate it, is exactly because it's "Matalica" there argument is that the riffs the beats, the tones all sound the same. They don't do anything different. They don't experiment. MAYBE ITS BECAUSE USUALLY IF A BAND EXPERIMENTS, 9 times out of 10 the fans hate it because it's Too different. And many complaints are there songs are too long. WRONG! Most modern songs are shit and too fucking short. The longer length is exactly why I love Matalica.

Metallica being the biggest metal band of all time are bound to get some of the hate and criticism. The bigger and more popular someone is, the more they are scrutinized being under the magnifying glass. The fact of the matter is, even if Metallica release puppet or lighting today, there would still be certain people who would b*tch and moan about it. 72 seasons is a damn solid song and I’m just so glad that we’re still getting new music from Metallica after all these years

The song writing is predictable and repetitive. They could never write something as epic as Orion or as well structured as disposable heroes. As for megadeth. Yawn. Mustaine’s vocals are awful and so are his lyrics. They release mediocre album after mediocre album since the 90’s. Snooze fest. Metallica are on a completely different level. Hence why they are bigger and more popular than them both. Because they’re better and more versatile and write better songs.
The people who hate on new Metallica can have that opinion, but they dont seem to understand its 2023, not the 80s. When your peak was in 1986 with Master of Puppets, the best metal album of all time which was written by a bunch of 25 year olds, people have the expectation that every song and album needs to be that good. In reality, if those 80s albums came out today these same fans would say the songs are too long and repetitive. These fans just like to bitch about everything. Luckily, it is easy to ignore them.
You said it all guys. I am a Metallica fan from the very beginning....and this track is banging. I do like the other tracks from the album that have been released...but this track is superb and is the signal to me that band still have the hunger. If the rest of the album is close to this ....wow. Thank you so much for another great unbiased reaction guys.

Personally from the album I only like far too gone and mirrors. They are outstanding songs. But the others 10 songs are forgettable.

This is a good song. They will always be compared to their first 3-4 albums. Though not ever thing they have done since holds up as well, but I feel a lot of us have super high standards, yet they still send us scorchers to this day.

Cool reaction to it. I like all singles so far cuz they all different. I'm happy to at 60 they're still making new Music at 60 and I'm 55 happy to hear it. Hopefully next 8songs are Brutally fast heavier then the singles. If not it ok. Been fan since 84. 13days left before it here.

This is probably my favourite of the four thus far, and has made me like the previous 2 releases a lot more (those slow grooves feel nice next to the punishing tempos of this and Lux). Looking forward to hearing the album in its entirety!
My Own Summer Intro was a good decision for an intro 🤘🏽😎. Also amazing song by Metallica, can’t wait for the new album!!!

I don't understand the concept of haters, I understand listening to something new and not liking it, but why listen to something you know your going to hate before you even hit play. This is like someone saying "I'm allergic to bees, I hate them" then proceeds to stuff his head into a bee hive.

You guys need to venture into the Japanese rock and metal scene. I see that you've reacted to some Babymetal. You guys need to check out Band Maid, Nemophila, Lovebites, Hanabie, Sokoninaru, and that should be good to start you off. For Band Maid I'd recommend just about any of their official live videos. Nemophila maybe start with Dissension or Revive. Lovebites latest MV Stand and Deliver is excellent and pretty much any of their live stuff is incredible. Hanabie I'd start with We Love Sweets or NEET Game. Sokoninaru I'd start with either Tenohira de Odoru or Gou ni Moyu.

The cymbals work at the beginning drowned out what could have been a good start to this song. Although it’s better than a lot of the songs on other of their latest albums it still sounds like mettwlica from the Black album. Decent song but nothing new or fire about it. Enjoyed it and still had that easy to head bang Mettalica rythm. My favorite songs are still from And Justice for All and earlier albums. Not a fan of their work after that album.

They used to have some darkness and intrigue about their songs but now it’s as if they can’t write engaging songs anymore, it really just feels like they are trying to get away with the bare minimum.
