Hi Everyone, This is the abbreviated version of the classic entryway table. To see the full 40 minute tutorial video here on UA-cam click on this link. ua-cam.com/video/L0BGvIe67Ok/v-deo.html Plans for this project: jonpeters.com/shop/cherry-table-design-plans/ Thanks for watching, Jon
I watched the long version yesterday. I like both. Probably prefer the long version when I have the time to watch. But I like that I can watch the quick version to get the highlights.
This was a great recap time-lapse video. I'm more partial to the 40 min. version but, I'll always be more biased for longer videos from you. Hoping all is well Bud, Dirty Jersey out!!
I learn something valuable and new every video I watch. Excellent work, Jon! Your work inspires me to continue progressing as a novice woodworker...also keeps the wife happy with new/quality furniture.
Talk about hustling! Nice recap, I love the subtle detail of the slight round over on the front edge of the top. Those small details that validate the whole piece is intentional. Nice design.
Beautiful piece and great video! I loved the internal U-shaped wood brackets to hold the drawers in place, that is a great idea. Be careful, it looks like you might be getting a little bit of the “green“ fever. Just playing, I got that stuff too!
Jon, awesome video! Keep it up I love this style of videos. Great angles on everything from cuts to final assembly. The entire project was pretty much self explanatory.

I have a question for you. Bi glueing the drawer bottoms will that not allow for expansion and contraction and maybe cause buckling ? I was always told not to glue drawer bottoms
Howdy Frank, I believe because Jon used plywood for the drawer bottom, it is ok because ply is more dimensionally stable than a thin piece of solid timber.
I plan to build essentially this but use some hard wood slabs glued together for the table top and the legs don't have the tapers on them, for a food prep table in the corner of my kitchen. The slabs are pretty heavy and will need 4"x4" legs and I was curious about what lumber & sizes you used to run between the legs?
Hello Jon. I bought the plans for your table, but i can not print them out. Every time i try and print them i get nothing but black pages so much that i run out of black ink. I have tried different ways and methods and also went and saved it as a PDF file again. But no luck. Any ideas?
I think you might have something there (besides another great piece). The quick and dirty supplement with the longer video OR maybe even just the segment format that you have been doing. I think that might be a neat way to end a/the collection. Stack the segments in the notes and a little visual text reference during nthe summary video calling them out by name. I,like most of you subscribers, will likely watch all the stuff when it comes out BUT someone that trips across the shorty would have a place to catch the indepth techniques...and the reminders as we get older don't hurt either. Also, maybe slow the video cuts down just a hair...some of them were a little hard to grab everything in the frame before the next cut. Seriously...you could really have something there.

Beautiful table. Been following you for a while now. Learned a lot. Thx (what kind of iron did you use to sign your name?)

Looks amazing. You have a gift however in instruction and explanation, so my preference will always be the longer version.
Not only do you do beautiful, quality work, I learn a few tricks of the trade every time I watch your videos. Thanks Jon!
I like this quick and dirty version. Very attractive piece. Cherry is so beautiful.

He is real good
Great Job Jon. Love how the cherry pops out 👍
Beautiful
Very beautiful, I like the grain on the front of the desk how the face frame and drawer front grain are continuous.

Beautiful. Love the curved top

Perfeito trabalho, parabéns!
is this a re-upoald? felt like dejavu watching this.
He says it is, in the vid description... 🙄
Love that little clamp sled for the legs. Did you just taper two sides so everything would still stay square?
Thanks yes just two sides

I used 4/4
It looks like you cut down some 8/4 for the legs, is that correct?
Have you ever had an issue with the joints held together with screws? Does wood movement cause any issues there? Thanks!
Jon just curious. Do you worry about swelling from temp change in the house for the drawers?
Are you talkin woodwork or somethin else ? 🙄😂😂

Hi Doug, that’s the first I’ve heard of that , can you try another printer… maybe a friend or family member.

What brand hot glue gun is that? Have tried many different ones and none of them seem to last.
Thermo Grip 208 Hot Glue Gun

Ever consider Benny Hill background music?? Just kidding. Nice piece.
💯👍👏👏👏
The curved top link goes to the tapered leg video
The cutting and assembly went way too fast. I like a slower video with narration.
Hot glue... that was unexpected.
Something my boss Used to do and I’ve been using hot glue on drawer bottoms ever sense Works good for me....
I like talking.
This is the same project with 40 minutes of talking / teaching ua-cam.com/video/L0BGvIe67Ok/v-deo.html
I hate silent movies. Gets a dislike from me. 5:23
So check out the full build and leave a comment on how much you like the detailed information. 👍
too fast. What is the point of even showing.
... so quick to complain you couldn't even spare the time to read the vid description... embarrassing 🙄😒
