josephcollins: Yes you're absolutely right. However, I guess it just goes to prove that one doesn't have to have an athletic build to be a tough guy or a good boxer etc....Am I right?
I miss the showmanship he brought to the sport. The fighters today just spew so much hatred. This guy just went in the ring, did his thing, and was truly entertaining 🇺🇸
The Bean could fight most heavy weights, the good ones, and give them all they wanted for 4 rounds. He was not a 10 round fighter but the King of his domain. I bet Ken Norton would have been surprised by how good the Bean was in a four round fight.
You have to take your hat off to this guy,,, people would laugh, and I was one of them - until you see him fight. He's gut guts and can take a punch and never backs down,, Good on your Butterbean, you deserve your accolades.
Always loved watching Esch fight. He could punch hard and accurately, he can take a punch, and opponents think he's fat and out of shape, but he's got the stamina that proves otherwise. Dude is tougher than tough. Much respect, Butterbean!
The Bean is the King of the 4 round fight. I would have loved to see Bean and Tyson fight an exhibition 4 round fight. The draw would have been huge and to watch two forward fighters throw huge punches would have been epic.
He was an entertainer that showed even the chunky guy needs respect in a sport that skill , not your BMI decides who is winner. I felt nothinf but respect for his career as he should've.
@@hihatjas9477 Roy Jones was indeed a very talented boxer. My personal favorite was Julio Cesar Chavez. His professional career was mind blowing. Very prolific, and I love how he supported orphans and various charities. Big talent, big heart.
The bloke can cop a knockout hit and still keep fighting , the 28 stone of bulldog belt's back twice as hard with power and speed.Might not be pretty but the result's the same.Really like this bloke and the way he doe's it.Can you imagine in ten years time his nephew asking "Uncle Eric do you know how to box? because Some bloke's are hassling me and i want to stand up for myself" " well . i'm no expert but I have dabbled".
I like that first guy who didn’t want it to be Butterbean who knocked him out, so he knocked himself out by banging his on the canvas deliberately. Very resourceful!!!!
BB might not have the typical boxer's body but what he DOES HAVE IS THE HEART OF A LION , THE WILL OF A CHAMPION AND THE FORMIDABLE SKILLS OF A WORLD CLASS BOXER...... FACTS !
Butterbean was just a tough built like a tank and never backed down he would just keep coming at you didn't matter how many times you 👊 hit him and when he started swinging you know your going to get hurt then knocked out just shows you don't need big muscles he was just a would give him fair play to him as he made a great boxing match every time even if it was only less then 4 rounds him against tyson would of been a great fight (but never happened)
Eric is a wonderful human being and was a real joy to watch in the day! Thank you Eric!

What makes Butterbean so formidable is he never steps back. He only goes forward into his opponent.
No, it’s not; it’s his massive punching power!
And he never stops swinging 😊

Just won his biggest battle. Eric never stopped fighting and now he's walking again!

Butterbean was definitely a legend at the four round fights he was tough and had a heck of a punch to go with it

He is a warrior who got respect from Tyson. Great job Butterbean🤝🇺🇸
The psychological aspect of not ever backing up always works in his favor.
Two of my most favorite boxer's Mike Tyson and Butterbean !!!
1 - Tyson
2 - Forman
3 - Butterbean
4 - Sugar Ray
One of the best ever. Genuinely a great man.
Yes
Seems a great guy.. love the Tyson clip. At 91 bouts he knows his stuff and has some skills
Butterbean's strength was a massive right hand powerstroke.
Diesel piledrivers think they are Butterbean when they are having a real good day.

Indeed give credit where credit is due ,,too many underestimated Mr. Butterbean!

I used to love watching him fight, back in the day
Hearing him hit Johnny Knoxville on Jackass was terrifying. I cannot imagine the real power behind that huge body and those short arms. Devastating.
Proves that the world's views on strength are false if anything 1st step to being alive after a fight is never underestimate anyone
Big fan of Eric BUTTER BEAN. He wasn’t a side show he was a beast
He has more Heart than most and a Great Hero in my book 👍🙏💯😎
Butterbean….Legend .
Perhaps not a boxing legend. But a human legend.

bro is literally the character that you make as a joke but end up maxing the hit power and speed all the way 😂
Mr. Esch was a talented athlete, and is the kind of guy I'd love to have as a neighbor. Weekend BBQs and beers with Mr. Esch would be a blast.
He had a BBQ restaurant in Jasper AL. Dude is super nice and down to earth.
@@hihatjas9477 No kidding!?! That's awesome! I can totally see that, I bet it was a great place to eat. :)

If you think you are going to see Butterbean fight Marius, think again, that fight isn't in this video, mores the pity.
Just because someone is fat and blubbery doesn’t mean they don’t have power or skills folks. 🥊
Gotta love the bean great fighter !

He was large, he had the boxing skills, could take a hard hit, but! He had fast hands. Legend in my book!. Nuff said.
Butterbean was a force of nature n the ring
Butter bean is a hard man, doesn’t look away, very tough indeed
If Butterbean hits you in the ear your going down very soon. Most of these guys must have broken jaws.
I like that first guy who didn’t want it to be Butterbean who knocked him out, so he knocked himself out by banging his on the canvas deliberately. Very resourceful!!!!
BUTTERBEAN is the MAN!
Saludos desde Costa Rica, pura vida!!! que bueno el Señor Butterbean
Damn. When you can hear that punch land over all the background noise.
Love Butterball!!!! Good guy it seems
Bean 😂
Butter Bean is truly a legend!!!
Dude was no joke! I only wish he could have been allowed to fight Tyson!
I had lunch with him and a few other people several years ago. The man is a complete gentleman. 🤔👍🇬🇧
The surprising thing is his stamina.
Love the re-runs ...the Jolly one and the Butterbean!
Butterbean and Tony Galento both in their prime would have been a fantastic fight to watch

A real-life Juggernaut.
Butter being is a legend
He was tough and when he turned those shoulders with all that weight behind his punches they were going down.
Butter Bean was not a joking matter man. Seriously he could fight like you wouldn't believe
Love the butter bean..
He is a genuinely good guy.
Getting in the ring with Butterbean was a mistake for a lot of guys.
The African American boxer in white shorts fought butterbean really well. Then he got tired toward the end, so butterbean beat him.
Butterbean will be back, the man's walking already.
Butterbean always looked like he'd be the underdog but usually wasn't.
The Legend Butter Bean🇺🇸
He's taking DDP yoga now
Clickbait was a nice touch 👌
living legend. his life is awesome, someone should make a movie about him. also himself should be a cameo somewhere
I always liked and rooted for Eric.

Love Butterbean a real champion in the ring and outside it. Great man with a big ❤️
A good book would never have an ugly cover.
I'd never say this to his face, but he probably wins because all he has to do is imagine that his opponent stole his food 🤣
