In this video during the Tyson vs. Holmes fight, the commentator mentioned that this was the first time Holmes had been knocked down. That is incorrect. Prior to the Tyson fight, Holmes was knocked down and almost lost to heavy hitting Earnie Shavers.
Mike wasnt trying to knock him out. He purposely kept him on his feet. Mike wamted to punish green, so he body shot the bell out of him, he could have ended it in the first if he wanted to.
When he was in his prime i didnt like him because of his personality. But now that i watch him more objectively and purely from his power and skill level im very pressed and in awe of him. Just look at his eyes during the stare down before the fight, you know hes about to put a beat down on that guy! And most times he did!
