You can see from 90's videos he was in much better shape about 100 lbs lighter. He go to 500 lbs and was in a wheel chair needed hip surgery. I guess he lost all the weight talking about fighting Tyson, or Jake Paul.
Imagine hitting someone so hard with elbows that it breaks your arm and knocks teeth out of opponent and you still loose. That is one hard ass head there man wow.

Both of them did a great job in there! Butterbean always impresses me. His cardio and toughness is amazing. He was being hit with elbows hard enough to knock out his teeth, and it never even slowed him down. Cabbage was fighting most of the time with a broken arm. You have to respect how tough and dangerous both of them are. That was awesome.

Met Butterbean 7 years ago at a small casino he came to watch the local fights. I sat down and 5 minutes later he walks in and sits right next to me, I was lucky enough to chat with him, he is such a good, incredibly humble person.
Mad props to both men. They may not be superb athletes, but they both have warrior hearts, and that more than makes up for that. IMO, there was no loser in this fight.
Butterbean was a superb athlete. He was spooky fast for his size, and his stamina, especially for his size, was out of this world. He was a genuine freak. I remember his VO2 max was confirmed to be that of an elite endurance athlete.
I watched Cabbage's UFC fights. I remember that he has excellent power combinations and a large, concrete head that is unfazed by heavy punches. The Bean does not look like an athlete, but he moves well for such a huge man. When he's fresh, he actually is light on his feet.
Has Rogan ever had Butterbean on? He's had such a long career in contact sports and he's such a unique athlete. It'd be interesting to learn more about him.
