If draymond if the best player on the team, the bigger news story is how bad the rest of the team was lol.
Joking aside, the warriors worked so hard to beat the bulls season record, and it meant nothing. They are now the first team in history to be up 3-1 in the nba finals and still lose the series. They are the first team to win 70+ games in the season and not won that season’s championship. Cleveland’s one and only championship is forever associated with the warriors.
As they say, 73-9 sounds pretty good. But 72-10? That has a nice ring to it.

The 2019 Rockets were more egregious than the 2018 team simply because they were healthy, the Warriors lost KD and Steph Curry was having a first half from hell.
Steph coming back isn’t surprising, but James Harden being nowhere to be found in the exact moment where it’s all tee’d up for him is why folks don’t feel he’s built like that.

My grandfather was the HC of the '69 Lakers. Wilt bringing himself out of the game in game 7 was after a long list of him butting heads with my GF. They caught back up playing small but lost in the end. Some people blame my GF, Jerry West blamed himself as he always did for his performance in game 6. Obviously when you don't get along with arguably the greatest player in NBA history your tenure won't last long. But in 69 Wilt's reputation for being a playoff choker was well cemented. My GF agreed with Russell in his assessment of Wilt as being soft taking himself out of a game 7 with a title on the line, but I digress. The fact that Jerry West and my GF kept in touch and remained friends showed that we was indeed a good coach and mentor and the '69 Lakers was just a choke job in the end.
