That goal line stand in Super Bowl 16 is one of the most underrated moments in NFL history. The Bengals came so close to scoring three times in a row but were just barely stopped. If they get in on any of those tries, the 49ers may have not won their first Super Bowl.

Not only did the '72 Fins have a perfect season, but they came within about 2 minutes of scoring a shutout in the SB, which would've been the only shutout in SB history to date. That would've been a historic feat as well. At the very least, you can say they went a whole SB without their D giving up any points.
Mahomes is what Brady fans hype him up to be, ie a great QB who's actually fun to watch. For most of Brady's career his best receivers were Edelman and duct-tape Gronk so drives were pretty damn long and boring. He was pretty fun with Moss tho
My first exposure to the Super Bowl was the morning of SB26, Bills vs. Skins, when I was 4 years old. Without knowing a single thing about the teams, I wanted the Bills to win. Then also the next two years. In those years of my young life, I thought the Bills were kind of a "final boss" of football because of how they were always in it at that time. My best SB memory was SB42, watching the game while in college in Boston, sitting in a restaurant full of Pats fans quietly rooting for the Giants. When Eli escaped the defenders and threw downfield to Tyree, my heart just about jumped out of my chest.
I feel bad for the poor kids in Africa who believe the Buffalo Bills had the greatest dynasty in NFL history, despite the Patriots and Broncos both having one more ring than the Bills.
I wish UA-cam had a laughing emoji right now as those kids in the thrid world countries really do get done a disservice when the league donates those shirts showcasing the conference championship and Super Bowl losers.

My top 5 Super Bowls would be: 5. SB 38 Panthers vs Patriots 4. SB 32 Packers vs Broncos 3. SB 42 Giants vs Patriots 2. SB 49 Seahawks vs Patriots 1. SB 43 Cardinals vs Steelers
Panthers and Pats was a great game. I don’t know why it’s not talked about more often as one of the best ever. I’d put the “longest yard” Titans vs. Rams on there, and Philly beating the Pats. Pretty good list tho.
As a Pats fan, that first Super Bowl loss to the Giants will always sting. That final drive where our defense crapped the bed and blew so many chances to seal the game was demoralizing. However, something that's almost never talked about is at one point early in the third quarter, the Pats were in field goal range on 4th and 13 and had the lead, but instead of kicking a field goal, Brady tried throwing a touchdown pass that ended up going out of bounds. Imagine how different things could have been had they just let Gostkowski kick what was more than a makeable field goal. The Giants weren't the better team that day, the Patriots were the worse team.
I’ve boiled it down to it either being… A) Belichick getting cocky thinking he could do no wrong and Brady would’ve easily scored the TD B) Belichick realizing the Giants D was playing tougher than he even anticipated and decided to go for it since points up to that point had been at a premium
Your defense played better than the offense. Can't put it on them just because they allowed a couple drives in the fourth. When you only allow 17 points with all those weapons on offense and the greatest offensive line in the league (as Brady has his whole career) you should win. My God he just had to throw jump balls to moss and he could have better results
@@JohnGoetzGaming I mostly agree with what you are saying. Defense still blew it but they should not have been forced the oppurtunity to. Even afterwards Brady almost saved the day with that 70 yard bomb of desperation to Moss had it not been for Cory Webster's fingers. They should have attempted that field goal, but the biggest culprit for the loss? The O-line. Despite being loaded with All-Pro players, it gave up 5 sacks and allowed countless pressures, are you kidding me? Dante Scarnecchia (the o-line coach) is considered a Patriots legend, but I don't remember him being given any deserved flack for that piss poor performance in what was undoubtably the most important game of his career. (I know the G-Men had a strong front 7, but still...)
@@Scott_Dunbar_II I really can't say Brady saved anything when he made a lot of bad throws and quite frankly I don't think a good 4th quarter drive with all those weapons where he finally stopped trying for deep shots is enough to make up for only having 2 good drives all game. I get he got pressured a lot but look at how other QBs scramble away from pressure or stand in the pocket and make throws with guys in their face. He didn't have to face that a lot in his career but he could never do those big Ben or pat mahomes scrambles when his oline wasn't playing great. Plus he was kinda lucky to be there after throwing 3 picks in the AGCCG and benefiting from a completely injury destroyed chargers offense that made it so they didn't matter. For such a legendary statline as he had in 07 his post season was really lacking
Excellent take on 57, loved the fight from both teams, wish there would have left no doubt instead of a ref ruining it. KC fan here, side note, your players had the most humility and grace I had seen in a losing team in a long time.
Am I the only one that genuinely loves the Rams Patriots 13-3 game? An absolute coaching masterclass by Belichick that I believe is the best coached game of all time. Truly stunning to watch one of the greatest offenses of all time be completely shut down.
Hot Take: Because of how many points in history that the conferences have been imbalanced, the conference championship has an underrated history to it. Sometimes those two teams match up better than the two in the Super Bowl (not the case this year, but some years that could be said), and the fact remains: Whenever you are looking at the conference championship games since the 1970 merger, you also are always getting four teams that made the playoffs, and won a game when they got there no matter what (or those who qualified when fewer teams did beforehand), and the fact remains, those teams are playing for the right to participate on the biggest stage in the sport, the Super Bowl. @@robriginio530 One that he wouldn’t use that description for would be the 2004 AFC Championship Game. Not necessarily an amazing game, but when he did Brady’s playoff luck video, that game wasn’t even mentioned, so it must’ve been a solid performance on his part at least.
@@fortynights1513 no doubt. I love his videos, but the way he talks about a QB who regularly threw for 4500+ yards and 35-40 tds every single season and holds every passing record imaginable and NEVER turned the ball over as “dinking & dunking” his way to Super Bowls just boggles my mind. Its like he is seeing something else. I’m not even a Brady fan I’m a Giants fan.
super bowl 57 is A+ and probably the most entertaining super bowl of all time. refs being awful (and im not just talking about the holding on james bradbarry) aside, the back and forth kept me on the edge of my friend's couch the entire game.
Yes, there is another choice for the key moment of Super Bowl 25: Jeff Hostetler managing to hold onto the ball when Bruce Smith sacked him in the end zone for the safety. Smith got his hand on Hostetler's wrist and if Hostetler fumbles it almost certainly gets recovered for a Bills TD and 17-3 lead. Would have completely changed the complexion of the game.
Finally someone who recognizes that Super Bowl 52 was the best Super Bowl by impossible margins. No bias, no kap. Also love to hear Barry showing guys like Roethlisberger the respect he deserves, which is none. You're doing the Lord's work, my man, and we appreciate you.
SB 31....Reggie White (while not speaking to the state legislature) recorded 3 sacks in the fourth quarter, including two back to back. Sacks by a team you want to win are rather likable, especially when the other team is trying to conduct a late game comeback.
I’d honestly put Dallas vs Baltimore higher. It was a time where offense wasn’t as good and high turnover games were probably more interesting to them at the time. And even with the turnovers, it wasn’t necessarily a “low scoring Super Bowl”. Heck, the super bowl after that had less points. And the game came down to a game winning field goal. It’s honestly B+ or A-
Minor correction on Super Bowl 45: the Packers were far from being seen as fodder for the Steelers. In fact, despite being a 10-6 wild card team the Packers were actually a 3 point *favorite* over the Steelers. You'd probably never expect that given the Steelers championship pedigree and #1 defense, but it's true.
I think for Super Bowl 42 the most key moment was Asante Samuel Jr.'s father dropping an easy interception from a shitty throw by Eli Manning that would've probably sealed the game. I would also say for Super Bowl 54 the key moment was Jimmy G slightly overthrowing Emmanuel Sanders down 4 with 1:33 left that would have been a dagger to the Chiefs and forced them to pull out a game winning drive.
As for the fumble return for a touchdown in Super Bowl 57, go back and look where is Nick Bolton had his hands. That’s either a face mask or a hands to the face, I will let you decide.
You realize it intellectually, but laying it out like this, it's really frustrating to realize that Brady's Patriots were a handful of plays (most of which were bad plays by the opponent) away from having a worse Super Bowl record than the Bills and Vikings *combined.*

I think the key moment of Super Bowl 42 was Asante Samuel’s dropped pick. Had he held on, New England gets the ball back up 4 with like 1 min left. The helmet catch never happens if Asante didn’t have bricks for hands 🤦🏾♂️
And the 4th down conversion where Jacobs squeezed through just enough for that one yard. It was kind of forgotten since the helmet catch overshadowed it.
I might care about all the complaints about the called penalty at the end of the game if there hadn't been such an ATROCIOUS no call on a PI against Juju on 3rd down in the first half that stopped a drive cold.

IVE BEEN WAITING FOR A NEW BARRY VIDEO LFGGGGGGGGGGGGgg
Bart Starr was an incredible talent at Alabama as well as at Green Bay. I enjoyed watching him in my early 20s
The salt from Barry is noticeable but understandable as a budding Eagles fan.
Brady sure was in a lotta A+ games huh
super bowl 57 is A+ and probably the most entertaining super bowl of all time. refs being awful (and im not just talking about the holding on james bradbarry) aside, the back and forth kept me on the edge of my friend's couch the entire game.
Barry made this video to rant about the refs again, I respect that
Barry, do a top NFL Coaches list
Yes, there is another choice for the key moment of Super Bowl 25: Jeff Hostetler managing to hold onto the ball when Bruce Smith sacked him in the end zone for the safety. Smith got his hand on Hostetler's wrist and if Hostetler fumbles it almost certainly gets recovered for a Bills TD and 17-3 lead. Would have completely changed the complexion of the game.
The crazy third and 12 where the bills missed like 6 tackles was a big one too
Finally someone who recognizes that Super Bowl 52 was the best Super Bowl by impossible margins. No bias, no kap.
Also love to hear Barry showing guys like Roethlisberger the respect he deserves, which is none. You're doing the Lord's work, my man, and we appreciate you.
hes an eagles fan
So a lot of the best and greatest super bowls feated Tom Brady playing. No suprise here.
all Superbowls where Brady ends up eating sh*t are A+ :V
You should do a video rating every top Wide receiver in the NFL currently
Another banger from the man
Video idea top ten nfl teams since the start of the super bowl era
I honestly love this channel
Even in the updated version... 25 to 28 are still painful
SB 31....Reggie White (while not speaking to the state legislature) recorded 3 sacks in the fourth quarter, including two back to back.
Sacks by a team you want to win are rather likable, especially when the other team is trying to conduct a late game comeback.
Barry you should grade halftime shows
I enjoyed this more than the pancakes my wife’s boyfriend makes in the morning!
You’re a lucky guy. I don’t even HAVE a wife but I know if I did she’d never be cool enough to let her boyfriends (any of them) cook for me.
It’s honestly B+ or A-
1:06 2010 divisional win was very important to my heart
The goat returns
Imagine how good the next Broncos vs Vikings super bowl is gonna be
The only UA-camr I will watch 2 unskippable ads for
We want NBA content now Barry!
Agreed, people want to even it out based on decades but the super bowls in the 70's and 80's were ass compared to now
Note the lack of higher grades through really the early 90’s.
Washington VS Miami? GOATed. Riggo taking the ball to the house on 4TH Down will live on forever.
Also, Theismann tipped a would be pick.
Try grading every NFC/AFC Championship, Divisional etc. games
Video idea: rank the top 10 championship games (or play off games)
I think for Super Bowl 42 the most key moment was Asante Samuel Jr.'s father dropping an easy interception from a shitty throw by Eli Manning that would've probably sealed the game. I would also say for Super Bowl 54 the key moment was Jimmy G slightly overthrowing Emmanuel Sanders down 4 with 1:33 left that would have been a dagger to the Chiefs and forced them to pull out a game winning drive.
The key moment in super bowl 54 was the 3rd & 15 play tbh. Because it was a huge gain, and Bosa was blatantly held and no flag was thrown.
As for the fumble return for a touchdown in Super Bowl 57, go back and look where is Nick Bolton had his hands. That’s either a face mask or a hands to the face, I will let you decide.
14:50 This allegedly echoed in my soul lol
Superbowl 16 was also Maddens first Superbowl as an announcer. Crazy it was also Montana's first Superbowl.
you should do a worst calls of all time ranked, playoff edition.
19:06 You really thought we wouldn’t hear that💀
barry, can u do this for nba finals??
The amount of tears this man has probably shed over Tom brady is absurd
True
You realize it intellectually, but laying it out like this, it's really frustrating to realize that Brady's Patriots were a handful of plays (most of which were bad plays by the opponent) away from having a worse Super Bowl record than the Bills and Vikings *combined.*
Comparing Barry’s original to this

Note the lack of higher grades before 1995.
Nice
Barry are you going to review the xfl?????
I might care about all the complaints about the called penalty at the end of the game if there hadn't been such an ATROCIOUS no call on a PI against Juju on 3rd down in the first half that stopped a drive cold.
That doesn't matter because nothing that happens in the first half "decides the game" apparently.
Who's gonna tell Barry that was also a facemask on the return touchdown in Superbowl 57
I remember 2019 (patriots, rams) so vividly because I was in LA at the time and got a shirt that said "LOS ANGELES RAMS: SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS". The shirt was too small for me, anyway.
Hey Barry can I hear your thoughts on Warren Sapp I think he was a good defensive tackle when grudges was around. Btw love the content
14:49 lmao Barry saw what happened to Pat McAfee and covered his bases
