I've seen videos with interpreters who use an anchor during fingerspelling, and I actually like it because it's a visual cue for me to be reading letters and not signs!
I'm new to learning asl and I'm so glad that I bumped to your channel, everything you guys talked about in this video made a lot of sense to me.. I've seen different things or videos but I really have to say yours made sense to me, it was very helpful. On any case thank you I will definitely practice the tips you guys gave, thank you
Thanks Chris, l have to admit that l have trouble with understanding when someone is signing back at me. That's why l love your videos because you do them at different speeds . Is it possible for you to do a birthday video? I would love to sing and sign happy birthday to a friend of mine, but the only signs l am sure of signing are happy, to and you. Thanks ☺
Thanks, I'm glad that you are finding our videos helpful. Here are a couple videos that may help for learning how to sign the happy birthday song, ua-cam.com/video/iipc_bbs6dY/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/ZuOYCbhKPpM/v-deo.html

The mirror is a great idea! I hear that it's important to maintain eye contact so this can also be practice for using the peripheral vision
Yes, that is true, eye contact is very important and it sometimes takes some practice looking at the person's eyes rather than their hands
