    FAQs??
-How many squares do I need for a baby blanket?
This can vary, it really can be however big or small you like, but i generally do 4x4 or 5x5.
This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
-How many chains shall I do for a *single/double/etc' blanket?
Again, this can vary. I would suggest that you do your chain and lay it down agains the bed you are wanting it for. It should be the same width. You should then ad a few more to make it a little wider.
This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
-How much yarn do I need?
Unfortunately, I will not be able to answer individuals questions about how much yarn you would used do to multiple factors affecting it. Such as, your tension, the size of hook and the yarn being used.

@@rrhopewell ua-cam.com/video/DroelB2uwx4/v-deo.html the unspun yarn (roving) is very fragile and will quickly deteriorate, catches all the hair and stuff lying around, and the roving can be quite expansive. Someone also reported that trying to wash it in the washing machine broke the machine because of all the loose hair, and even if it doesn't break the machine, this type of unspun wool felts very easily

Thanks. I didn’t know all that. Plus i looked at the price and it was way to expensive. I have 10 grandkids. 4 of them are 15 to 25 yrs of age so it would cost a fortune. Can you suggest a cheaper alternative that is thick. It don’t have to be that thick but something close.

This is the best video I found explaining this. I have never crocheted but tried hand knitting and it was difficult not dropping the stitches. This is easier. The instructions in this video explain everything thoroughly.

I'm going to try and make one for my daughter, this is such a adorable and cute project that would make a really good play blanket for her. I'm 22 weeks haha, also one for a throw blanket for our living room furniture, I didn't know this was a thing until now I'm excited!!

@@samanthahillier4691 I don't think she was meaning to be rude. The money and materials will be sadly wasted since this is not yarn and has no structure. It will quickly get gross and disintegrate :( I too get a little upset at all the people being misled to think otherwise.

It’s beautiful and a little complicated but it took me 3 spools of yarn and they were $20 each it wasn’t enough to make a twin blanket…so if ANYONE wishes to donate me some of that yarn-like 8 spools of ANY COLOR that would be a blessing like u wouldn’t know!

I'm going to undo it and us my giant crochet hook on it too before buying more yarn. It is quite expensive for my budget too. But I enjoy it. I have to find my looms... 😀 i think this type yarn would make killer home decor items too.👍

How do you go about adding more yarn to this? I started a blanket but ran out of yarn so I need to add more! Do you have another video on that using the same technique?

Great video. However, for folk with smaller balls of yarn, i wish you would have included how to start on another ball. I am now stuck and having to find another video that will help with the transition, which is not on you. That's on me lol. If you can respond with the how to, that will be great. If not, thanks again. The video was still helpful.
Maybe a warning to those, in the beginning, letting folk know that its only for a huge ball of yarn would help others in the future .
