- Mekaneck? We Had That! When He-Man and the first wave of Masters of the Universe figures came out in 1982, Mattel knew they had a hit on their hands. By the time the 3rd wave came out in 1984, Mattel had time to put together 12 new figures inculding Mekaneck. In this video, we'll take a look at the history of the figure as well as his appearances in the mini-comic books, and in the cartoon. What do you think about this long necked character? Let me know in the comments below!

I like him a lot and I had him as a kid.
Awesome!
One of my favourite MOTU figures, his yellow club doubles as a telescope!
Glad to hear I'm not the only one who thought of that as a kid!
That makes sense!
I love this character
I like mecaneck he's cool I wish they would show the woman he married and his son
They show his son. There are a few images of the son in this video.
Awesome vid!
Thank you!
I had Mekanek as a kid. I remember getting him at Sears. He was the only new He-Man figure I'd seen since I'd gotten Evil-Lyn and Faker. They seemed to come out a little later than Man E, Ram Man, Tri Klops and Trap Jaw. And Mekaneck seemed staggered further but before i started seeing other Wave 3 characters. I always thought his mace looked really dumb but I was mostly intrigued by his chest armor.
