I was honestly expecting to see the Golden Girls sitcom elderly TV characters as action figures when I saw Golden Girl as the title. Cool to see this was a unique toy line of women Warriors. Nice presentation, thanks.

I purchased the evil barbarian girl for my sister, and she used her as an ally to He-Man when we would play. We also had the Dragon Queen who teamed up with Skeletor!

I had her too! I had all the SheRa figures, but that's the only Golden Girl I had because a relative bought it for me for Christmas in a (successful!) attempt at finding something that wild little tomboy cousin of theirs might like. She was one of my favorite dolls because her spiky boots meant if you threw her in a tree, sometimes she'd catch herself on a branch. Yeah, I was an odd little girl.😂

In Germany, Golden Girl was only to be seen on fairs. Like as a cheap rip off of MotU/PoP you could win on lotteries and other booths there… I remember a second - male - toyline equaling Masters of the Universe there as well, but I lost the name of that line…

Great video, if Origins hadn't spoiled me I would probably be collecting vintage MOTU and it's knockoffs with Golden Girl shoved right next to She-Ra on a hypothetical shelf.

Awesome video dude and when i started looking a the Joe line was when Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat where in it so i was looking at all the ninja's and guys Croc Master as figures i could add in to my collection and thought he was cool. I was lucky enough to get the 2022 figure of him. Still would like to get the 80's one at some point and a few of the other ones too.

I'm generation X. This is the one toy line I don't remember being around in any of the stores. Nor do I remember any of the other kids owning a single figure. But, watching Buck Rogers in the 25th Century was one of the highlights of Saturday morning.

They were all glow figures by then and they were $1.97 .I picked up the play case as well $2.00 the thing was there was a wall of these but no Wolfman or Mummy. they had shelf fulls of the play cases.

I don't care for Star Wars anymore, but I was crazy about the first three movies. Around the time of Jedi, I didn't have many characters; I switched over to Gi-Joe toys. But, yeah, from Jedi I had five - a mail-order Emperor, a biker scout with speeder bike, Squid face, a stupid Ewok (gifts), and Luke in black. My favorites... Luke in Black Boba Fett Zuckus (Mail order) Bespin Luke Bespin Han Leia as bounty hunter Boba Fett Tusken Raider Yoda Bossk In the mid '90s, I went to an antique store and found lots of old Star Wars stuff, of course. I picked up Dengar and 4-Lom for $5.00 each, and I slowly bought all 12 of the Burger King glasses. I think that the Star Wars ones were $10.00 each and maybe $6.00 each for the other ones.

Tonka had a great line called Steel Mashers in the mid 80's. It was a blatant rip off of The Road Warrior, with awesome metal post apocalyptic vehicles. One of the figures even looks just like Lord Humongous, which Is the one I had as a kid.

I remover my Dad coming home from work and he was going to take a nap before him mom and myself went to granny’s house 🏡 well dad called me into the bedroom and said he found a couple more guys for my adventures and pulled out from under the covers Greedo & Luke X-wing that he found at a store next to the advertising company he was the GM at that always had the newest toys out and the same store was were my Dad & I found my Jawa at in a counter display that I couldn’t reach and I remover Dad lifting me up so I could grab that Jawa that I looked for everywhere anyways those are two of my fondest memories along with Dad being gone on a work trip and Mom picking me up at school and us going to the mall like we did as a family every Friday night and me seeing/finding IG-88 for the first time and having my little mind blown 🤯 because he came with TWO GUNS!!! I guess you could say I was spoiled we went to the mall every week and I got $5 a week allowance which in the late 70’s early 80’s was a lot Star Wars figures cost $1.49-$1.99 but I would always go over budget and Mom and Dad didn’t seem to mind especially if I was taking to long picking and choosing they would say just get them and come on lol… I remover Christmas of 1978 and it was heavily Star Wars with there being the DeathStar playset tons of figures and other ships along with some Micronaughts and other lines and my birthday that following Feb there was my remote control Sandcrawler only thing was my parents only ever bought 1 of each figure gosh I would have loved to have a team of Jawas for that thing lol now being 52yo I have about 40 complete Jawas truly my favorite figure of all time along with Luke X-Wing Greedo and IG-88 which are all the original ones that go with the fond childhood memories I still hold so dear to me all these years later…

On the subject of using cocktail sticks as swords, my parents had one of those 1960s sets of 6 metal cocktail sticks in the shape of swords that came in a circular holder or rack. They were the perfect scale to go with the Matchbox Fighting Furies figures and could also make any Mego 8" figure a little more dashing! We couldn't get a Mego Star Trek Sulu figure in the UK, I don't know if they made one at all, but one of the metal swords was a fencing foil and would have made the perfect addition to a shirtless Sulu figure! Hell, give the Klingon the saber cocktail sword and you've got a violent duel right there! 😂
