I really liked this game. Recently, I played this game for a second time, I enjoyed it even more. I'd also like to mention, that this game has better slo-mo headshots than Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway. Then again, _this_ is a better game.
V2 being free for a short time and this game getting a free weekend, puts the devs in my good book. It is rare that a game on the tier of V2 is given out for free forever, and 3 is not so long that a dedicated player could not beat it in a weekend. 3 did have more dlc and a pretty good Multiplayer mode so 3 being only a free weekend makes more sense. Anyway good review with a fourth game coming out next year its good that you put out a detailed review of 3. Hopefully 4 is a improvement of V2. I don't really see 4 being a 4 out of 5 game unless they improve on V2 in big ways and solve the 2 game old problems, but i guess only time will tell.
I am sure i'll like this game since i like sneaking and i like head shots. I don't need a deep story. This is not MGS and that may be a good thing, it's just about shooting and sneaking and doesn't try to advertise that it's anything else. If you like to sneak around and you like head shots, you should like this game. This was another great review.
Gotta say, this game was pretty damn fun. Only thing that bothered me, _expecially_ in V2, was when you shoot down a 100m street and you have to aim at the sky to compensate for the ridiculous bullet drop. I get they were trying to add more elements of realism to the sniping but when you're shooting somebody down a street, it's pretty jarring to have to make some ridiculous adjustments to hit him.
The italian soldiers are voiced by actual italian actors we recognize from our television and dubbed movies, but the script they are reading comes off as stilted, obviously translated from english or german by a non-native speaker if not by an automated translator. Germans sound much better by comparison.
It's not really "better" so much as "Sniper Elite 3 has no excuse for the same problems that V2 had." That and the last mission or so of 3 is pretty weak.
Yeah that's what I thought, just clarifying. I have been curious about trying one of the games, 3 does look the most appealing to me. That said, I did get v2 for free at some point (I think they were giving it away or something) so I'll probably just try that if I really want to play one.
Hmm. It's weird cause I see bokeh on some pc game plays of this and then some I dont, I wonder if it's just a part of the graphics detail or something.

Does it go to kill-cam every time? Can it be turned off?
I kind of want to play through these games but they seem a bit iffy...
You can turn off the killcam if you want.

Somehow, from all that you've said, MGS V is everything Sniper Elite was trying to be. Except for the sophisticated sniper shooting, of course.
What is ther best sniper game in your opinion
Sniper Elite V2, so far.
In what ways is 2 better than 3?

there just was a sale
Yep. It goes on sale pretty frequently.
good review
Is adding bokeh (background blur) an option?
Don't believe so.
Hmm. It's weird cause I see bokeh on some pc game plays of this and then some I dont, I wonder if it's just a part of the graphics detail or something.
Possible they were using SweetFX or something.
Why would the kill cam look great when all the skulls look EXACTLY the same !! :/
Should review zombie army trilogy. Been playing that alot lately.
It's Sniper Elite, but with zombies. No thanks.
DWTerminator I feel zombie army is better than this and sniper elite v2. But I do have an obsession with zombies so that makes sense.
Since you have origin, are you going to play battlefield 1 today?
You need their "Access" subscription to play it, so no.
DWTerminator oh,
nice
I played this game for all of 25 minutes before dropping it. I'm genuinely surprised you enjoyed it, I expected you to rip it apart.
To be fair, I'm pretty sure you expect me to rip everything apart at this point.
DWTerminator
That's true. After you disliked Doom 4 I don't know what to expect any more.
"Dislike" is a serious understatement there.
But anyway... just remember that as far as expectations go... I'm the Spanish Inquisition.
A true potato can think for itself.
Different strokes I guess because I personally couldn't stand this game.
