That not the valve cover that’s the ccv filter outlet. It takes oil vapors crated in the cranks case, filters them and then is recirculated into the motor through intake.
Looks nice but I wouldn’t install that particular one because of no heat shield to guard air filter from under hood temps. Gonna just suck hot under hood air right into the engine.
If you do, i recommend you keep the stock parts. My truck has an aftermarket air intake and I would love to return to stock. I wish I could find the OEM parts. If you’re on the west coast, I’d buy yours.
I fail to see the "cold air" part of this kit. No shield in the engine bay means your gonna be sucking in all the hot underhood air. Also any kit that does not make use of all the factory sensors ie the filter sensor has the potential to cause issues down the road. Ford surprisingly designed a very effective air intake system. I have used them for years on my fleet with 0 issue. Properly maintained I have seen stock filters handle over boosted 6.0's never starve for air.
@@TheMustangStampede first thing I would do is blue spring kit on truck if not done yet by sinister diesel really helps with proper fuel flow on the 6.0l
@@ironupgrades9136 wife is ordering blue spring kit for Christmas and this intake. I'm going to install a fuel pressure gauge before then though so I can see where the FP is at.

Great. This sure looks pretty, but is worse than the stock system. Sucking hot air from under the hood hurts performance. How about using the banks ram air. I did so, and cut a hole for the inlet, in the fiberglass filler on the side of the radiator. I now have cool, air being forced into the intake.( (Ram Air). You need air density. Hot air is less dense air. This system is just for looks..
Appreciate the video, but it's definitely not a "COLD" air intake system. False advertisement from Sinister. It's a non OE air intake system, which makes changing or cleaning filters out easier.
Hey did you show how the drivers side pipe is too short and curved wrong so it barley goes on? Sinister is a bunch of phenomenally over priced trash. Hope anyone who pushes their garbage for affiliate money chokes on it.
How is it considered a cold intake. Still sucking in engine bay air
I'm just wondering how much that blue pipe cost to pull hot air

Very thorough explanation and great camera work. Awesome video, thank you for posting.
I just wanted to say thank you for this video! You really go in depth which has helped me a lot.
22:40 buddy really got that bracket tight😂😂
Old boy was just spinning air 🤣
How has it been working out for you so far?
I'm seriously thinking about putting a sinister on
Really really recommend it , sounds great with the turbo , and performs great

@@lumberjackdreamer6267 After market in- take like the Odawgs??
Why return to stock when that intake is waaaaayyyyy better
@@johnnycortez46
OEM has better filtration.
@@lumberjackdreamer6267 I have entire OEM system, email me at austinsad217@gmail.com
looks like the $60 dollar ebay ones but blue, i wonder where sinister buys theirs?
Yeah I don’t think that’s a “restricter” on your air cleaner, that’s a gauge that tells you the condition of your air filter
Excellent video Raymond. Job well done on the explanation.
Thanks bud !! Really needed this , got my cold air intake installed quick !
Where did the filter air preasure sensor go?

YEAH THE STOCK FILTER SYSTEM CAN EASILY HANDLE AIL THE FLOW THAT ENGINE NEEDS
Did the sinister diesel air intake make a difference?
Ya Brother really good job on this video. Clear and understandable directions . AAA+. Thanks
Looks Good.. could have pressure washed the engine for a nicer look..
Shouldve got an S&B
Those underhood temps🔥🔥
I believe I’m going to do that next thanks!!!
Whats the difference between the S&B and a sinister diesel cold air intake?
@@Carnage6.0L S&B is sealed and has more surface area than the cone style. And costs less
I would have done a CCV reroute mod. It's a bad design to have dirty crank case oil vapers going into a nice clean intake and turbo.
You did a great job explaining
I just looked it up $414 for that s*** damn
Got a very close looking Intake for 80$ off amazon literally looks exactly the same
@@parkerchase685 me too
Did this intake require a tuner?
No tuning required bro , sounds wonderful with turbo
No tuning needed at all, Oem fit tuner and filter would be great together sense you will be receiving g way better air flow from stock filter
@@ironupgrades9136 roger that I have sct and cai in my mustang. Just prefer not to have to tune this 2005 6.0 I picked

not a cold air intake its a ram air intake idk why they call it cold air
8mm also works 5/16 bit
Badass job! Looks awesome
How much power does it give after doing this mod??
About 35-85 horse power
_ 20%
muchas gracias it help me a lot i give you an A god bless
First thing you should have done is Oil Bypass Filter & Coolent Bypass Filter, maybe don't sound better but will protect your engine.
You’ve got that right. I have both, plus’s a large external full flow transmission filtration system.
Thanks for everything
Very good video, very good explanation with all the details !! Thanks friend.

All u had to say is that it’s a hot air intake
Hey this is not your first time doing this aha Keep up the good work 👍
This A Very Good Video Great Job
So u saying it’s better for the cold air intake to be concealed in a box ?
thank you
Great Video really appreciate it
