They would have never allowed for her to act this way. She would have been very peaceful, respectful, etc. I get that we have our own personality, but there is never an explanation for where Ahsoka learned her bad values.
She was already terrible before she met Anakin too. So don’t even try that. You guys make every excuse under the sun just for her. She was so incompetent and rude through all of it. The Jedi would have realistically pulled her out. But she stays for no good reason.

@@imyouralibi6208 Was she? Her first appearance is in the Clone Wars movie, in which she questions Anakin's decisions. Her choices and attitude are a direct reflection of her training under Anakin. As for the parts in Season 7. She is no longer a Jedi and is transitioning into what she is known through the main trilogy timeline as a Grey Jedi. Through the years she calms her aggression down. She was still very young when she was kicked from the Jedi Order. Seeing her in Rebels, Tales of the Jedi, and The Mandalorian, she isn't as aggressive.

Ahsoka's behaviour in S7 is hardly different than in S1. We've got a Character Growth case study series on this channel which shows that.
TotJ doesn't count since we see maybe 5min of content of her after the end of TCW. In The Mandalorian she's absolutely still aggressive. We have yet to analyze her in Rebels. We plan to do that when we're done our TCW reaction series.

      @breadandcircuses8127 Interesting take 🤔
I disagree that her voice actress was particularly talented. Ahsoka was the first voice acting gig Ashley ever got and, imo, it really shows. Obviously, she got better; her voice acting in S7 of the series is considerably improved. And as for Rosario Dawson, I also disagree, tbh. She strikes me as a good actress, but one who is being given poor direction due to Filoni's incompetency, like all the other characters in his live action abomination. I mean, he has some pretty big name actors on his cast but they all seem to give an equally bad performance for the most part. It's definitely reminiscent of the situation with the prequels.
But going back to your point on Ahsoka's voice in TCW, I'd argue that a high-pitched voice would actually make her *less* likeable rather than moreso. If you think about it, the general trend seems to be that female villains have a high-pitched voice (think of characters like Child from Young Justice, Umbridge from Harry Potter, etc) while male villains have very deep voices.

I mean the first one was her pretending to be violent to make Nute Gunray, she explained it to Luminara. She also provoked Cad Bane to stop him from escaping. Almec was just torturing her and kids with the same collar, and since she was unarmed, putting it on him was the only way to stop him. Judging her for "angry face" when they are searching a guy who just killed their best friend, seriously? Or when she wants a woman who bombed Jedi temple and killed many of her friends and masters be brought to justice? How is she supposed to stop Aurra Sing, a wanted criminal escaping on a stolen ship which is shooting at her, without using her lightsaber? How is she supposed to fight trandosheans that hunt kids for sport? How is she supposed to defend herself from clones who are trying to capture her for something she didn't commit? She even told Ventress to not kill them. (Btw, they are wearing armour, they are fine). When she released Maul, she had no idea the clones were mind controlled and she needed time to figure out a plan. She didn't know he was that powerful and tried to stop him after. Won't defend the accusations against Obi-Wan though. Overall, she isn't a great Jedi and slightly overrated as a character, but not even close to a Sith or a villain.

    • @imyouralibi6208
      @imyouralibi6208  Рік тому +7

First off, Ahsoka's body language leading up to her threatening Gunray and her later comment showing how gleeful she is at the idea of his death shows that Ahsoka was 100% serious when she threatened to gut him.
You're headcanoning. There is nothing to suggest she "provoked" Bane for the purpose of preventing his escape. She'd already caught up to him by that point. Unless you're referring to the scene from S2E3, in which case my point still stands.
Yes, she needed to get the collar on Almec but she *didn't* need to shock him with it. That was just going overboard and showing how vengeful she was (her tone and facial expression also demonstrate this).
Earlier comments seem to show Ahsoka isn't all that torn up about Kenobi's "death."
Letta was *already* facing justice, but Ahsoka clearly wanted her to suffer more (i.e. vengeance, which Anakin outright calls her on in that very scene).
There is nothing wrong with Ahsoka using her lightsaber. There IS a problem with her trying to stab Aurra directly in the face. She could've broken the glass and gone for the controls instead. Also, Aurra didn't start shooting at Ahsoka until *after* she tried to stab her in the face.
The force push that killed Garnac was so strong that it pushed him clear across the room, through a double set of thick and heavy doors, and over a railing. That's clear overkill. Plus the fact that Ahsoka went out of her way to chase after him which left her companions in danger.
Why not run away from the clones like she did before? That way no one gets hurt (and yes, the clones were clearly hurt. Ahsoka hit them so hard that she managed to immobilize/knock them all unconscious).
Ahsoka didn't know how powerful Maul was?? Yeah, I'm calling bull on that one.
Honestly, you are ignoring so much context, I have to wonder when was the last time you even watched the show.

@@imyouralibi6208 I don't know much about body language, better ask the animators. She was impatient, yes, but she understands he won't talk if he is dead, but also he is a coward, so that way of scaring him might work.
Cad Bane was escaping with valuable information and she knows she can't capture him alone, so she is buying time for Anakin to catch up.
There's really hard to aim standing on the shaking ship, but yes, it's possible she tried to kill Aurra (who just almost killed her master Plo Koon, btw). For a padawan it is not unreasonable behaviour.
What comments? Her and Anakin are clearly pissed off and keen on finding Hardeen.
I don't think Garnac or anyone cares in what way he was killed. He was shooting at her, she suggested him to surrender several times, she pushed him into a wall before and he got back up. So yes, it is a Jedi way to dispose of him.
So Anakin calls her on it, huh? I thought universe bended over her...
Why not run? Because she was surrounded and there was nothing to jump on above, duh.
Considering that he went easy on her in the battle (which was also won thanks to her plot armour, I agree), and he was paralyzed for hours right before she released him, I can see why she underestimated him.

    • @imyouralibi6208
      @imyouralibi6208  Рік тому +6

      @@Сайтамен You are headcanoning again.
There is nothing to suggest that she was buying Anakin time.
There was no shaking. The ship was steady and so was Ahsoka. She knew exactly where she was aiming.
So you agree that Ahsoka was being vengeful toward Aurra? Also, yes, it is very much unreasonable behavior for a student of the Jedi.
As mentioned in other videos, Ahsoka seems more interested in insignificant facts than in getting revenge for Obi-Wan. And she finds it strange that Anakin is grieving.
Again, Ahsoka went out of her way to fight Garnac. If she'd been more focused on helping her friends, there would've been no altercation between her and Garnac at all. Also, she never once told him to surrender. She just said "You're beaten!" (which only served to further provoke him).
Again, overkill is not a Jedi means of subduing someone.
"I thought universe bended over her..." Wow, you're desperate 🤣
Anakin also defends/excuses her behavior in the very same scene, saying she's "still very young." So his reprimand essentially falls flat.
Ahsoka wasn't surrounded. The clones were only in front of her.
Look, if you're just going to keep ignoring important context and making up your own, then I'm really not interested in dragging out this discussion.

Personally, I don't see it that way. I think it's totally legitimate that there are different opinions about Ahsoka, so don't get me wrong. Here's my opinion:
Yes, I think Ahsoka has a very bad temper, which is the reason why Yoda assigns her to Anakin. He thinks they have a positive influence on each other because they are so similar. (Works in a way, because Anakin learns what responsibility means).
But there's more to falling to the dark side than having a bad temper. Falling to the dark side is a process. And Ahsoka was never even close to becoming a true Sith.
I think it's part of her chracter story that she was always not a typical Jedi: because of her personality structure, because of Anakin's unconventional views and training methods. She learns in TCW that the world is not black and white and Jedi are not all good.
Her struggle to fight her own dark side, but at the same time not finding the Jedi as great as she finds them at the beginning of TCW, ultimately leads her to follow a whole new path. The path of the grey Jedi. Yes, she's not as fixated on the Jedi Code anymore, but she's still not a dark side user. Personally, I think it all makes a lot of sense.

You are entitled to your opinion, of course. (And the narrative *wants* you to have that opinion.) But the content itself doesn’t really support that opinion.
Pairing up Anakin and Ahsoka is a dumpster fire that the Jedi seem stupid for overlooking.
Ahsoka doesn’t learn anything or grow in any way.
And she certainly doesn’t struggle with a dark side. Despite the way she behaves, she’s basically always portrayed as right, as being ‘what the Jedi should be’.
To be clear, I agree that there’s more to falling to the dark side than having a bad temper. But we’re not claiming that Ahsoka ‘falls to the dark side’, we’re just saying she’s acting like a Sith.
Ahsoka seems to have a lot of anger and hate (and we all know what Yoda has to say about that). And some descriptions of Sith behaviour include violence and vengeance, as well as self-centered and manipulative/controlling behaviour, which Ahsoka displays a lot of, so I think it’s fair to say that she goes over that line on many occasions throughout TCW. (This video mainly showcased the violent/vengeful moments.)

Well the problem there is what you said about the Jedi not being all good or perfect. They never were, but no one is. Qui Gon was more of what the Jedi of the time were missing, but even he never thought of the Jedi as incorrect; only following the Will of the Force as they should have done. They needed to evolve and grow, hence the point of what Luke's order in the EU was intended to be. But EU Luke never condemned or judged them for those shortcomings, nor did he deny those teachings. He did however choose to question and learn from those mistakes to make things better. Even then, his order had its ups and downs with people like Kyp Durron and Gantourus; but he never gave up. Luke and Qui Gon are more of what the Jedi should have been then frankly Ahsoka has ever shown.
If she was, then if she left the order I would have it be because after everything that happened, she would realize how the dark side has permeated everything and the Force would call her to seek answers elsewhere. Like the Jedi Wayfinders of old, follow the will of the Force to where it needs her to be. Not because of any betrayal

After destroying the guarding B1s, Ashoka decides, after a dialogue with the droid, to decapitate him, making an unnecessary kill. Yoda specifically put Ahsoka and Anakin together so they could both learn patience and to forgo attachments and emotions. The reason why so many find Ahsoka to be a good character is that she started off as arrogant and hotheaded. Most of the Ahsoka episodes involve Ahsoka learning important lessons; patience/listening to orders (Lightsaber Lost), letting go of attachment (Jedi crash), temperance (Storm over Rhyloth), leadership/independence (Padawan lost), don't let feelings cloud judgement (the war on 2 fronts), teaching/responsibility (A test of strength), finding herself (The Wrong Jedi), The Jedi were too corrupt (Gone with a trace), and not everything is black and white (Heroes on both sides).

In defense of Hayden's Anakin, he didn't really need to sound intimidating. His looks were enough to kill, lol
In all seriousness tho, making him more intimidating kinda goes against the point of his character. Anakin was a lost and broken man. It wasn't until he became Vader (or in moments like the death of his mother) that a much darker and far more frightening side of him came to the surface.

And yeah, TCW *tried* to bring out Anakin's "Vader" side...by completely changing his personality and playing the Imperial March excessively. The 2003 Clone Wars honestly does a much better job of fleshing out his character while keeping in line with his characterization and overall arc in the movies. TCW does the complete opposite and simply mangles the character. It's painful to watch 😩

When you listen to Nick Gillard and George Lucas on how and why the Dark Side got Anakin, you really understand how little, the writers of this series, understand Star Wars and The Force itself. Ahsoka would have fall to it twice as fast than Anakin did.
Even considering that he surrended himself to it willingly, at a certain point, to save Padmé, making the conversion much quicker, Ahsoka still should have turned faster than him and make her crazier than Maul as when he was found by Savage.
She's much more aggressive and eager, than Anakin, more sadistic and she grows in power way faster than him (somehow), since it was stated that in Rebels she's equal to Vader in power.
She's basically worse than Anakin ever was, but she has the thickest plot armor ever which prevents her from falling to the Dark Side.

    • @imyouralibi6208

People who have no idea of the effects of violence, no background on martial arts, no interest in how the human body works cannot depict action to save their lives. TCW's fight choreography was always shit.
