This is beautiful! Thank you for making it easy to understand, the lathe is my new favorite tool. 😁 Could I ask, is there a way to make the honey show through the glass? It disappears when I move to front view.
Thank you! As far as I know it always disappears at certain angles, then shows when you tilt the 3d space. Not sure if it a Nomad bug. If it is, I hope they fix it in future updates!

I do everything the same as in the video, but my jar does not become transparent. I do not know why
If you set “material” to “refraction” at approximately 2:49, it should turn transparent. :)
@@JoannaVuDigital The fact of the matter is that when I do this, nothing happens. I reset all settings to factory settings and it worked! Can you please tell me if it is possible to divide the model into polygroups in this program?
@@doommo600 Yay! Glad that it worked! As far as I know you cannot divide it into poly groups the way you can do in eg Zbrush, but depending what you want to do, you can either use the split tool, or the mask tool (mask then settings->extract) with similar results.

Nice video, only feedback I have is I would have chosen a different background image to at least break up using all the same color tones. Just to make the work pop, like maybe a light blue or even just a pastel yellow would really make it all spring to life a little more.

HOW DO I EXPORT THIS 3D MODEL INTO OBJ OR GLB WITHOUT LOSING TRANSPARENCE OR METALESS
As far as I know you can’t. ☹️ You cannot export into .obj without losing information, and nomad doesn’t export directly to .glb
How do you get it to look so high res afterwards?
I am not sure I understand what you mean. I don’t do something in particular, just all defaults by nomad sculpt. 😊
@joanna vu digital Hi thanks for the tutorial, but im trying to understand how you are getting the refractive honey to show through the refractive glass jar as ibe watched and followed this video closely and its not working? Can you help me with this issue?
I’m not sure if I understand 100% what you mean. Indeed the refractive honey isn’t visible through the refractive glass at some angles, (it must a nomad bug) but it shows when you tilt your 3D space. Here are some details about the vanishing liquid (it is a different project, but the idea is the same, it should help)
@@JoannaVuDigital Yes im guessing its maybe a bug, but this would be a great bug in the sense of actually being a function within nomad sculpt! For it to just work and at any angle would definitely be a pleasing and another key saling point! But also whatever you were saying heres another way to didn't post(show in your comment)
I figured it out change honey to 2 sided in the reflective panel

Do you mean the glove? It's a standard drawing hand-glove, I got mine from Amazon. It's pretty handy when it comes to hand rejection. 🙂

@@JoannaVuDigital I'm using Android version, I changed the angle to make them all visible and it looked amazing thx for the video
why cant we have proper measurements.... like you manually made those ridges on the tool at 1:18... what if ones longer than the other.. how can we have precise measurement

zero IoR?? Glass is 1.5, you're killing all the highlights. That's why your jar looks as thin as paper, nothing for the light to refract off of.
