As someone who never played this game enough to get past a hard AI, the idea of two unfair AI opponents is pretty nuts. Especially with the self imposed missile restriction. Nicely done, and thanks for the Sins content.
The ai's probably made an alliance together, they that usually happens in 1v1v1 games. Funnily enough, 4 or more player games actually become easier because the ai is much more likely to fight eachother. Also, bombers definitely count as using missiles (which also means that the evacuator's bomber squadrons make it count for the challenge).
I remember doing 2 vs 6 unfair AI before in the original SoASE (5 hours). The other did strike fleets and focus killing one at a time while I play, catche, catche, slapping booties while running around playing a kite fleet...
The carriers are missile ships. The strikecraft are just part of the missile delivery system. Like a rocket launching a shuttle into orbit.
I mean, if you were so inclined, you could classify the strikecraft themselves as missiles... Crewed multi-use missiles. That fire missiles.

missile are missile even if they come from strike craft
And were back to the challenge i suggested way back on the carrier only.
To win you need to pump everything into fleet and factories to handle the attrition. Everything else comes after you get up to 1000 fleet plus.
