Your Halloween stuff is awesome, of course. But I also really like seeing the Star Wars and other non-Halloween stuff you come up with too. I will never stop being amazed at you taking ordinary looking objects and making them look perfectly extraordinary. Another truly awesome build. Well done, sir! 👍🏼
I'd be curious to see your display area for props, what's in your collection and how you go about arranging things. I suspect your area is more aesthetic than just strewn across a book shelf like mine. :O
Actually, it’s just kinda thrown together on the ikea bookcase I made a few years back and is in a spare bedroom where I’m not really seeing it as often as I’d like. Lol
And to think that some 50 year old is wondering where their old game went that they used to play on those long road trips only to have the battery die one hour into the 4 hour trip! Bought one and gonna try it. Some kid’s memories being transformed! 😂
I used Krylon Fusion gloss black for the base, Montana Brand Sahara Beige for the main part of the game, Krylon grey for the inset frame, Rustoleum aluminum for the projector bezel & side button, and Krylon gloss clear coat where applicable. There's links to all the paints in the video description if you have trouble tracking anything down.
Would be SOOOO cool if you could flap it open and it would really create a "Hologram" using a tiny little Pepper´s Ghost effect on a little sheet of transparent ... Uhm... Glass. Or so. 🤔😂
You had me at "Let's ". You are a prop mad man. You're one of the only reasons I still watch youtube. I appreciate you brother.
Another prop on my never ending list as well. Now I have a game to hunt for. Thanks.
Love this one Derek, you crushed it
Excellent build my friend. Very cool project!
That came out sweet, Derek!!!
This turned out so great Derek!! Awesome!
Thanks so much!
Yet another cool prop.
I really ... really like this!!
That Was Cool!!!! Thanks Man!!!! 👍😎
Wow! I still have my original Missile Invader game from my childhood! I have to find it now and see if it still works.
Awesome Job. Just Love It. ☺️😀💜🥰
Thank you!
I love that it’s all based off of a game- I didn’t own that one, but very well could have. Well done!
Great prop - loved watching it come together! It is always awesome when an old game or something from childhood can inspire a build!
Loved seeing this come to life. I'm gonna have to give this a go!
So good!

LOL - yeah, wish I had the patience/impulse control to let things fully dry before handling. I always promise myself - this time it will be different!
Great build.
Thank you!
Great Job once again!🤘🤘🤘 Love watching your videos! -SAVACQ
Great build, do you have a link to the leds you used
Everything I used is linked in the video description.
Thanks…missed that pesky ‘more’ tab 🤦♂️
Good morning everyone! Curious about this one.
Good morning!
Nice build, as usual!

@@VanOaksProps Say it ain't so. :) Maybe a future project!
Thank you. Do you think you’ll do any videos of your 3D modeling process?
Possibly.

So cool Derek! Where you find the acrylic cube?
Thanks! I got them on Amazon. There’s a link in the description if you are in the market for them.
Planning to build one of these myself. Can you share what color paints you used for the base colors?

@@VanOaksProps Thank you! Sorry, I didn’t think about checking the description, my bad.
@@C2Lawson no worries!

Did you use a resistor with the wiring? Thanks
The LEDs came prewired with the resistor already inline.
@@VanOaksProps Thanks for the reply dude.
A great reuse of a vintage collectable. $30 isn't bad for something from the late 70's.
