My testimonial on Rory: His advice is sound. I had two coachings with him 3-4 years ago. I listened to his videos and implemented his advice. It took some time, but eventually I came out as a better person. I got over my ex, felt better about myself and came to the realization that I don't need anyone to add to my happiness as he says. Eventually I met someone new and now we're married with a baby on the way. That never would have happened if I stayed stuck on my ex. I never would have moved forward if I kept chasing and always looked back. I listen in on his videos from time to time as I still find them interesting, positive, and uplifting, but I obviously don't need them anymore and haven't for a while. I hope all of his listeners can eventually get to a happy mental state like I did. Then the rest of the pieces will fall in place.

@@Zeb86 She did contact me a few weeks after we broke up and then again every month or so via text. We even met up three times after we broke up, but she wasn't interested in getting back together. You helped me out last year in early 2021. Trust me everyone, no contact works for you in two ways. Either they will come back (don’t hold your breath) or you realize you’re way better off. I promise it gets easier. Hit the gym, date around. I found someone 10x better than my ex and I never would of believed that could happen if I were to go back in time and tell myself that. Work on yourself, you deserve the best. Don’t let someone else control your emotions or thoughts.

No contact does work to get yourself back. 6 months ago I was driving myself insane, literally insane. I been going to the gym all my life when this relationship ended I started to go 2 times a day to the gym cause it’s a place I can let out my anger on weights. 6 months forward I’m more cut and the strongest I’ve been in my whole life. Yea I think about her a lot but I’m more confident in myself and I keep reminding myself “im better looking than her” so I’m in a better spot today than I was 6 months ago. Do I believe no contact work? Fuck yea it does. Her mom stays in contact with me for whatever reason. But either way I like who I am today. If she comes back I don’t think I want her anymore tbh.

I screwed up. I didn't think I did but I did. I was posting comments on a Facebook page (one of those poetry sites) about how I miss my ex and how I hope our paths cross again someday. I didn't repost them on my own newsfeed so I thought I was safe. But I have a bad feeling either she saw one of them, or a common friend did and told her because she unfriended me from Facebook on Thursday. She didn't go so far as to block me. But it still stung. It felt like being broken up with all over again. I thought, well, as long as she remained Facebook friends that maybe I still have a shot. I immediately went into panic mode, but I didn't try to contact her or text her. I watched Rory's video about an ex blocking you (true, this is a bit different since I wasn't blocked), and 2 Craig Kenneth videos about blocking and a Coach Lee video about the same thing and that pulled me back from the ledge. I realize now my only hope of ever getting her back is just to continue the work, not give her a cause to block me by leaving her alone, and letting her go. I do love my ex-GF and sometimes love really means letting her go. It won't be easy. My anxiety makes me want to do something, but these videos help remind me I am doing something. I'm working on bettering myself. Perhaps, one day, our paths will cross again, probably when I least expect it, or maybe she'll reach out again some day. Maybe I'll never hear from her again. If somehow I meet her again, I need to be in a better place.
But beware. Don't even post comments on Facebook pages. I don't think it's a coincidence I did that and the next day I'm unfriended (I didn't post anything mean, quite the contrary in fact, but she left me because she felt smothered so she probably felt it was just a continuation of that). And honestly, reflecting on what I did I was being selfish. I should have stopped to think, hmm, I don't think she'd see my comments but am I sure? And now I wonder if unconciously did I want her to see my comments, a sort of back door way to tell her I was hurting. God I hate my anxiety. It made me do things that lost my ex-GF, and it continues to play tricks and I let it, which is why I'm starting therapy.
I do love my ex-GF. A part of my heart will always be hers. I wish I could tell her I'm sorry and that I will let her go. I can't so I can only type it here. It upsets me greatly to even think that. I'm sorry KS for all the mistakes I made. I really hope you find whatever brings you happiness and peace.

break ups are a painful mess! mine broke up with me 5 weeks ago, I gave her the break up, and a couple of text messages in between to try and get some clarity as to why, but still got vague excuses that she can't mentally cope giving to make so many people happy. Here's my story..
    - Fwb with a DA for around 6 months
    - We developed feelings for one another
    - She disappeared
    - For four months, now and then again, i tried to make contact. (i was also doing really really bad)
    - At the end of the fourth month.. i sent a text saying it was a definite farewell.
    - After that, i began slowly to pick myself up again. Going to the gym, eating healthy and all that..
This very morning she contacted me. Not to say anything nice though haha.. she just came to say, after 6 months of radio silence.. that i wasn't even worth explaining anything to at all. I replied that i would have preferred having a conversation because i didn't know what happened and that i'd still like it if we could have that.
She once again said i wasn't worth it and that she refuses to acknowledge me having any importance in her life and that she already has it difficult enough doing even basic stuff in her life (i'm thinking she's very very depressed). So i said i'll respect that, also that i don't hold her condition against her and simply said "take good care of yourself".
No Contact works, i guess :') she contacted me to just hurt me i suppose and i understand none of it.

The same time. It did help to relieve anxiety but i'm not sure it worked to forget my ex. Circumstances can be so different from one break up (or relationship) to another that i don't think NC works universally. In fact it happens within one sole person: i had other breakups with other people being me the dumpee and they didn't hurt me so much, not even close. Somehow those relationships were clean and exhausted when we broke up, there was some kind of clousure (even if they didn't tell me what was the cause). But with the last one i've screwed it up: i made her to lose her patience waiting for me because at first i was reluctant (she was a previous ex i've always cared for and i've was afraid i could disappoint her again) and secondly because pandemics restrictions nearly ruined my life. All in all it completely feels i've never given her the second chance she repeteadly asked me for (when i was struggling during 2020 she was the nicest, caring, and comprehensive person i've ever met). It still haunts me.

What if they reach out and it’s not related to getting back together? I’m sure it’s situational but I’m my situation I am mainly trying no contact to stop ruminating and being hopeful and to move on but there is a part of me that hopes it will bring her back. She reached out to thank me for a card I wrote before she moved out. (She just found it but we broke up a week ago). I replied with a short response and that was basically it. Should I ignore those? Was keeping it short the right move? I predict more random messages from her but I don’t believe she has any desire to try things again.

So he said he didn’t want to steal my time and i deserved better like someone who can give me that committing relationship. I went no contact obviously but would feel better if i hear from him.. but i know our issue is really fundamental and it’s not something that no contact works on. It’s just… shit.. feels so bad. Hi Rory!!! I was hoping to quickly get some advice?
So I feel like my situation is very unique.. but basically my ex and I split so that we can work on ourselves then have a fresh start together. We relied on each other too much we both lost ourselves so we needed to work on that separately.
It’s been almost 2 months of no contact BUT only last week we did have a conversation about how we’ve been. He did mention he wants to see me when the times right, when we’re both ready. But he won’t be ready until he can cope with it all emotionally.
I think it’s the same with me, I need to be comfortable living within myself before I can see him again. Otherwise I’ll fall into my old needy habits.
Have you ever had a situation like this? How long roughly do you think we will both need to be able to emotionally handle the breakup so we’re able to reconnect? Do you have any thoughts?
    Thank you so much

They're not a good channel overall. They're the ones always pushing the handwritten letter after 30 days no contact. Also watch out for Brad Browning. I bought that stupid ex factor guide early on (Luckily it was less than $50 and I'm trying to find a way to get my money back because it's garbage--he has a 60 day guarantee, one of the few that does so I guess he's not ALL bad). It's all manipulation garbage and he pushes the texts to get your ex back. There are 3 channels that have good stuff. Love Chat (of course), Craig Kenneth (he really goes deep on relationships and attachment trauma, very informative) and Coach Lee. Corey Wayne is pretty good too (though his focus seems to mostly be on men getting ex-GFs back). Art of Love is fair--the biggest objection I have with her is she tells you to ignore your ex if they reach out to you in the first 60 days of no contact unless they tell you right out they want to get back together (as do some others). I can tell you with absolute sureness if my ex did reach out to me and I ignored her, I would never hear from her again. I mean, Christ, that's when it comes to your ex that's what you want from NC, them to reach out to you first. Why the hell would you ignore them? It blows my mind.

What happens when your ex breaks no contact with you but she’s dating someone else? My ex contacted has dated two people since she ended things with me beginning of last October. One was a mutual friend whom she called to tell me she was going to full on date 2 weeks into no contact, then back in April, she reaches out bc of a trip with mutual from I wanted to go on that it ended up she organized but she was in a relationship with someone else and has been now for almost 6 months. The first time she made it seem like she didn’t know what she wanted and asked me what to do. As much as I wanted to say choose me and be done with it, I said for her to choose what makes you the happier and she said she didn’t know. We talked several times each time she cried unsure until the last time where she was cold and distant and got very upset with me for telling our mutual friend that she and I had had a relationship albeit she kept me pidgeon holed and pocketed from our friends and her family as well as social media. The second time in the spring she wanted to do things together as friends and wanted me to chat with her as we used to minus the relationship and while we had been friends for several months before getting into it, we always had an attraction to each other and we never really just friends even if she was supposedly my best friend and I hers. She continues to celebrate her man (many of our friends think is closeted) but she showed him to her family even though he didn’t want to nor does he meet her Indian parents ridiculous financial requirements. I never got to meet anyone other than her sister who she introduced me to as a friend. I finally got the last few of my belonging from her place two weeks ago after not having been back to her place since October. I’ve been dealing with this for almost 9 months now and it feels as painful as it did day 1. I go out with friends all the time and get out of the apartment whenever I can. I rarely get more than 6 hours of sleep a night even with melatonin and cbd gummies, and feel tired a lot. I go for walks and try to stay healthy but I can’t seem to keep a routine down. Things and hobbies new or old bring very little to any happiness or joy. I’ve tried seeing a therapist and tried for severa months but didn’t seem to get anywhere. I’ve hated my job more than ever and my work ethic has sucked too but I find little energy in looking elsewhere and I need the health insurance bc I have Crohn’s disease and in the process of reversing an ostomy over the past year. I feel stuck and miserable having very little energy and while friends have tried to cheer me up and hung out I feel so bored and unfulfilled. Everything either brings me little joy, reminds me of her or makes me wish she was beside me to enjoy the experience. Keep in mind she was my first and I never dated in my teens or twenties bc of medical problems and lack of dating skills that I only started learning in college and in my early 30s. My finances aren’t great, I work for an aerospace company and make 70k but much of it gets sucked into student loans and medical, whereas most of my friends and my four younger brothers all make over six figures and have either found success in their careers, personal lives, or both. I’ve tried online dating, speed dating, and going through mutual friends but nothing has worked, I’ve gotten one date out of all of it. People keep telling me I’m attractive and I’d be a catch but reality seems to say otherwise. I’m not suicidal but I’m pretty fed up with life at the moment. Every time I try to pick myself up I get slammed down and or I can’t get my head right. Just really frustrated and hurt at the moment.

    *EDIT*
Please read for anyone going through pain right now
I went through it many years ago For those of going through it now I would suggest listening to in no specific order:
    Coach Corey Wayne
    Coach Craig Kenneth
    The Love Chat
Dating guy (although I think he has moved on to other things)
These are your best bet and they give valuable knowledge on how to go about it, what to do and how to respect yourself. Majority of them offering free advice and only paying if you want that little extra.
    DO NOT listen to:
Dan Bacon (I think that was his name)
Love advice TV or anyone on that channel
    Brad browning
A few others I will try and remember
They will give advice, sure but more often than not trash advice. Even so far to get back with a cheating ex (looks at love advice tv). The 30 or 60 day n.c rule and then more or less coax you into buying some stupid package because "you need to act now". No, eff em.
I am still subbed to you and come on your vids every once in awhile as I have moved on years ago. I will say 90% of the time N.C works unless there was cheating/lying/abuse involved.
See, my ex tried contacting me for a couple of years so N.C worked for me. That being said, I have said ZERO to her since I walked away so N.C didn't work for her. Due to her lying/cheating/abuse.
