Thanks bud!! I do my best :) On the seasoning, if you mean before cooking, I used to season with onion or high smoke point oil like grapeseed oil. But burgers I use are not lean, so the fats that come out season the grates. The onion is more to clean the grates at this point TBH (for me)… When making smashburger, I’ll either throw on a bit of tallow, or grapeseed oil.

I don’t think so… it’s wood. But I’d suggest to ask a rabbi tbh
