  • You can't make enough "Smoke" on a pellet smoker to make a good Brisket, OR can you??? Today we smoke our FIRST Wagyu Brisket on the Yoder YS640S pellet smoker. Call it the Lazy man's smoker, I'll just call it AWESOME! Does it make as much smoke as a stick smoker? Probably not, BUT you can smoke an incredible brisket without babysitting a fire all day!! We love a good stick smoker but I could get used to this Bad Boy. Come ride along and see where this adventure winds up. It doesn't get any better than this! Buckle up and Settle Down Good!!

Being a “newbie” it would have been nice to see you actually going through the trimming process. I realize there are other videos that show the trimming process, but it does not seem to be universally identical. So it would have been nice to see your process for trimming. Thanks!

Great job there mate, thought you would run out of time to serve since starting quite low in temp.
But it looked the part at the end...well done! 👍

Great video. I'm twisted on getting a loaded Wichita or the pellet mainly for brisket. I like the convenience and temp control on the pellet and could always add a smoke tube. Would appriciate your thoughts.

Awesome video! I love watching your stuff. Can you tell me what type of gloves those are that you're using? I'm looking for something like those instead of those typical cloth on the outside BBQ gloves. Thanks~🤙

Hey brother how good are these yoders? I am stuck between this and recteq!! Do the Yoders cook well in snow and freezing weather. How good are they

Just a heads up , you want to avoid spraying the fat , you want the fat to render . Ideally you only want to spray exposed meat. Cooling down the fat actually hurts the cook.

Opening the grill will REALLY slow you down. Needs a constant temp. I never spray my brisket. Trust that awesome pellet grill you have. I generally put on the brisket at about 225 and let it run for about 6 or 7 hours (I was living at 9000 feet for this), then wrap and let-er-run until I hit temp.

Really enjoyed your video. My wife bought me a Yoder 640s a few years ago often I lost both my hands in an accident. It is nice not to have to tend a fire in my offset. I notice you have Norwex towels on your kitchen counter. My wife sells Norwex and I don’t know if you’ve already discovered it, but they make an enzyme grill cleaner. No chemicals and it cleans my Yoder grates as easy as pie. Give it a try.
