    Class A is a Matchless model
    US Blues is a Blues Junior
    Use the computer editor to get the best out of the effects. Much more control of the effect parameters.

    The amps inspiring the different Models :
    Deluxe = Blackface Deluxe Reverb
    Class A = Matchless DC 30
    U.S. Blues = Fender Blues Jr
    Brit Blues = Marshall Bluesbreaker
    Mini - Dr Z Mini Z
    *******************
    The marked " Master " is de facto a "regular:" volume knob
    The " Guitar " knob on far right , functions as the actual Master Volume .

    When i consider the amount of gear i have in my Rig (rack preamp, power amp, stereo cab, ext. cab-sim, rack kompressor, EQ pedal, multiFX) N the money i spent (even if almost bought all of these 2nd hand) .....N moreover when i hear the sound of this lil' box (actually i have the THR5 which is amazing 4 Clean tones) i feel inclined 2 sell all my gear n just play on this True Gem from Yamaha (even 4 a Live Perf. with a 2 mikes direct 2 the PA)

    I really don't understand why amp modellers always try to emulate the response of the tone controls of the original amps. The lack of tonal response of some original amps was probably a design fault. Anyway I like my tone controls to work.

    Just got one .......honestly ...for a practice amp the thing is terrific....set it up so it is at ear level ......hold the tuner button down for more than 3 seconds so it goes in stereo mode .....give it some hall reverb ...it gives it more depth and makes it sound bigger ......and enjoy it for what it is......it weighs less than my strat has a bunch of different tones / effects already in it .....so I can just grab it and the guitar and go and have fun practicing.....its great.

    Great review, thanks! Really considering this amp, though tried it in a shop and could not get an apartment-compatible sound out, other than a completely clear, acoustic sounding one. Do you have any suggestion on how to set this amp so it can be used without annoying my neighbours, which is the main reason I'm looking at a tiny amp of course (not thinking headphones just now).

    • @JacksonBrooksby
      @JacksonBrooksby  6 років тому +2

      Cheers man! I tend to set mine pretty clean and use my pedals. But I can recommend keeping the gain lower and cranking the volume, it will help get a more dynamic drive sound at super low volumes.

    • @ninalili3024
      @ninalili3024 6 років тому

      Thanks a lot for your answer. I now know that the one I tried was messed up. The shop called again and I'll try again later. So this amp does take pedals no problem? Also looking at the THR10, but feel that it might just be a bit too high gain for me overall. The 10C just sounds nicer on youtube(can't find a shop that has both unfortunately). But for those moments I want a bit more distortion, or play surf guitar I'm hoping to find a suitable pedal or good settings. Mind you, I'm playing a Tele so won't get too thick a sound anyway.

    • @JacksonBrooksby
      @JacksonBrooksby  7 років тому +2

      +Tom Hey Tom, I feel like the best model on the amp for taking pedals is definitely the Deluxe. EQ wise it depends what pedals your running, if you've got a particularly mid-humpy drive I would suggest backing off the mids on the amp. However the best way I have found is to back off the master on the amp and use the output as main volume. This give the model more 'headroom' I suppose. Still doesn't react exactly the same as a good valve amp but it is certainly good enough for what the amp is aimed for. Thank you so much for checking out the channel and I hope this helped! Cheers
