quick walk around of a freestanding patio cover we built for a mobile home in Santa valley Arizona. check out the shorts to see how we built the footer.
lovely video !! all the best for future prospects. This give me confident about the Detached Patio Cover. Wondering what will be the smallest pitch can be given for Asphalt shingle roof. My plan is to build 20ft wide x 33ft length X Atleast 11ft ceiling...matching existing roof.
Cool video.. how the plywood prevent the structure from moving or wobble ?i'm not an expert but I'm not sure a free standing with only one post into the concrete is not a problem, and also how deep it is below the surface
The span was right around 12’, amd it was a 4x12 away from the house and 4x10 against the house. Footer was 18x18 away from the house and 12x12 against the house
Tell me how! I would love to do this over my patio, it's just that my patio is raised almost 2 feet and meets the door, but I think I could still do it if I just knew where in the world to begin! Help a girl out!
We have a porch that provides access to the entrance of the home, which has a metal roof. We want something that will keep the snow off the porch during the michigan winters. Any schematics on this idea and, what kind of flashing did ya use?
We live in Arizona so we don’t have to have an ice and water shield so just typical flashing, I would suggest 16 oc beefed up rafters with a greater pitch.
Are you near the Coachella Valley, I have a carport enclosure that may need to be ripped down and the awning that covers it is no good. I want to have something like that but with 38' of enclosure and the total 44 feet covered above. I can use the old walls to enclose it again but it needs to be modified to be shorter in height because of the building. How much does it cost to get the free standing part done first? Rough estimate. Thanks.
This was a waste of time. Your title says “ How to build”. This video teaches nothing. Additionally, the word is “height” not “heigth”. The “t” is to be pronounced. Need to change the title of your video. 2 thumbs down.
I would love a blueprint for the freestanding patio ❤
Holy *cow*. I'm in a hurricane zone and this is overkill even for that. It'll outlive the mobile home by decades.
This is what I want to build in Citrus Heights Ca . I need blueprints . No one is comfortable enough to build without them.

Minimun pitch for Asphalt shingle is 2/12

That piece of wood that runs between the posts (horizontally) what size are those? And those posts, are they 8x8 ?
Thanks from Mike is Salt River!
Very nice man what size did you use as a beam and how much do you spam from each post and how deep are the footings
Thanks man and have a good day

This has NOTHING to do with HOW TO build a free standing patio cover. This was more like "Free Standing Patio Cover For Our Client"
Not like a Scottsdale interior design... LOL
