    Hi From India.
    I have been watching your videos since long time. You guys are really doing good work.
    Could you share information about top panels (I guess these are PUFF Panels) you used? What size Panels?
    Thanks
    Pravin

    • @EverydayPatio
      @EverydayPatio  3 роки тому +1

      Hey Pravin, thanks for the comment, we're glad you enjoyed the videos. I'm sure there are different terms for the panels in different countries. We call them LRP roof panels here, laminated roof panels. It's a type of interlocking panel, but different from standing seam. The panels are 3 inches in depth, but that varies by manufacturer and span of the cover.
      Anyways I hope this helped answer your question, I think it's awesome you commented and if you have any other questions feel free to email us.
      Thanks,

    What material do you use for the posts and beams? Looks very light weight. Aluminum? How strong are they compare to wood?

    • @EverydayPatio
      @EverydayPatio  3 роки тому +3

      Yea, the majority of this build is Aluminum, with a steel frame for the posts and base plates. They are actually really strong when compared to wood, especially when insulated and steel framed like this one.
      Thanks for your comment and I hope you have a great day L L,

    Why not overlap the existing roof? I am considering something similar. We live in a rainy area of the country so I would like to overlap the shed roof on the house but not attach it to the house. We already have a deck but it is not covered. Pretty sure I will have to put the posts in the ground to provide adequate support. What do you think?

    • @EverydayPatio
      @EverydayPatio  2 роки тому +1

      Hello there Tom, depend on your deck and how was made, some people mount to the headers of the deck or do as you said and mount down below the deck. We didn’t overlap because the customer didn’t asks us to and it depends on the city if it allows you to overlap.
      Hope this helps and have a great day!

    That's an interesting take on a patio cover. Could that withstand colder climates and snow? What was the total cost of materials used? Thanks!

    • @EverydayPatio

    What slope grade did you gave the roof, thanks in advance.

    • @EverydayPatio
      @EverydayPatio  3 роки тому +1

      Hey Gabriel, I usually give a minimum 1/4 inch of slope per 1 ft of projection. Ideally 1/2 inch of slope for 1 ft of projection. Obviously this changes, depending on where the patio cover is and how quickly you want water to run off. More slope helps prevent water from sitting on the roof.
      Hope this helps and you have a great rest of your day,

    What is the maximum distance between post you recommend on a freestanding like this?

    • @EverydayPatio
      @EverydayPatio  3 роки тому +2

      Hello Bryan, thanks for the comment and hope you're having a good day. Maximum post distance is determined by footing size. Post distance starts at a standard 8 ft. and you can go 20 ft. and farther, depending on the footing.
      Hope this helps and you can always email us at everydaypatio@gmail.com if you have any other questions.
      Thanks,
      The Everyday Patio Team

      Thank you for the response. The area I intend to cover is 36 ft long, after what you said I think 3 post would be enough
