LIES!!! He likes pineapple pizza. Absolute heresy. :D
Imperial Knights, the best Non-space Marine Imperial Faction; knight honor and large robots, what's not to love?
Honestly, researching feudal worlds made me think they’re one of the most stable planets to be born on. You might be a serf, but you’re way less likely to get rando Murdered as long as you don’t have a huge Nurgle incursion.
Counterargumment! The Guard has the Baneblade. While I respect anyone who loves the Knight's, my Heart belongs to the Baneblade
Wellllll u hopefully don't get a huge nurgle attack
@raphaelweischer6046 Now, think about this, an imperial knight on top of a shadowsword baneblade varient
I’d say the wall of guns are better
I wished this animation showed just how nimble knights can be. Even the largest varieties can leap, do combat rolls and pirouette gracefully. I also wish they'd have shown the ion shields deflecting shots.
Leap? Yes, Combat rolls? Fuck no, they can spring and jump which automatically makes them the third-best walker in the galaxy behind Tau suits and Eldar wraith constructs
That's been my issue with these animations. They always seem to forget about shields. In the Blood Angels show the damn ships fly apart like they're made of Legos after one shot. The Exodite is the only one so far that mostly got the wargear right.
The armigers at least are relatively fast and also snap around, but yeah the bigger ones are kinda slow and more like titans are.
W40k animations always have to do humanity dirty, just like how-they fuckd up Knights in this series even borderline bringing it to shame across the entirety of the science fiction enjoyers-was exactly how they screwed up Space Marines in all of the recent trailers and animated series. All of that boasting about them being the pinnacle of a human being don’t mean jack shlt when everytime they’re on screen, they just do a tactic-less Kriegers suicidal idiotic charge while their supposedly chonky heavy adamantium plated ceramite layered power armor somehow will always be easily slashed by literally anything on screen like they’re made of wet paper. EXCEPT for the fanmade animations specifically, so this just shows that non of the people in GW calling the shots and writers for these series knows fk all about it. This is why I will always be convinced that all of the fan animators they’ve been hiring, were only hired as a way to shut the community up because the true alternative to that would be a law suit and a cease and desist order, which would definitely anger the community. Its that typical corporate deal of “take it, there’s nothing in it for you to reject the deal”
Well i doubt the giant knights like the Tyrant class (imperial name escapes me) can do that but everyone other class absolutely.
I’m glad our giant stompy robots are getting their own animation, but my god these knights move SO SLOW. Look at the freeblade game for an example on how fast they can move.
another good representation for knights was the DoW 3 trailer
@@BrotherGSIf DOW3 was even half as awesome as the damned trailer we'd be well into DOW 5 by now!
Hearing that the knights were for working kinda gives me titanfall vibes with how the titans were weapons of war but also members of families with the pilots were connected to them
I love that lore. It makes the colonists seem hopeful and forced into war rather than just conquering barbarians looking for a fight.
Yeah except its the other way around because Titanfall blatantly copied w40k’s Knights and Titans logic, even have the same mechanics except they went an extra step with the bonding part
@@SordidusFellatio Bonding with your machine is like one of the base tropes of Mecha genre, so are most of the other things you're gonna say they stole. You're just being a duckling here claiming the place you first saw something must have invented it and so is the originator of everything
@@alalalus7692 *Uhm AKSHUYALLY* bonding with machine comes from bonding with ones steed, which predates the concepts of Mechas in GENAERAL *Hnyuk*.
But for real, the trope is ancient because it draws from actual history. In this case, nobody copied anybody without first having copied history to begin with. It's all silly fanboyism for sure.
@@Dallows65 Yeah thanks, that is achcually 🤓 interesting. The knighthood concepts and Mecha are unsurprisingly very close. Which in some other aspects can also be seen in fighter jet fiction as well
"Hey, Comstar? Would you kindly put in a call for a Lyran scout lance? There's some stompy action needed!"
It's a recurring theme in warhammer, a arrogant youth think he's thougher than his elders and will do better but in the end, is just perpetuating the cycle of lies and torment.
Not really... But arrogant marysur female POCs for sure. Just like the shitty usurping captain in the blood angel series and the bulldykes Celestials in Sigmar lore.
Chaos knight player here. I hate the fact that they show the abominant not using psychic powers.
The _throne which houses the machine spirit_ otherwise known as the biointerface with ten centuries of cache that has never been cleared and a system that has never been defragmented.
god the knights are moving like there reaver or emperor titions, they should be so much faster like there squires in animation should be knight speed and the squires should be more agile, like leaping and stuff (IDK the squires i dont know too much about there lore but i do know knights and how they are describe by titions prenseptes.)
What are titions?
Ah but that would require money. Gw doesn't spend that.
TLDR when an Indian tries w40k as a hobby.
Tition? Preseptes? You edited your comment and you still fumbled it three times in a row
I like how you included footage from videos games such as Titan fall, MechWarrior, and others.
Working on a lore video to combine a dozen IPs into a single timeline, I'm really excited about it even if it doesnt do well metrically
I was kind of hoping that the castle would rise up as a titan when the queen was talking about fighting for 10 years. It would have been cool if she was fighting the ghosts of the original blood oath takers within the machine spirit of a full fledged titan while hooked up to the throne.
Nah a titan abandoned on some backwards knight planet with no care takers firstly i doubt it would still function after the first oath takers and secondly the mechanicus would have a fit 😂
@@battlebrotherwh40k34 all true, but a secret titan could be a good explanation for why nurgle was so interested in that family line and planet. What the mechanicus doesn't know hurts them far less what what they do know haha.
@emwZEEK while i get what ur trying to say i feel like a lot of writers have ur mind set where they put a plot point in because its "cool" and not because it makes sense its like the knights in this video being slow brawlers moving like titans to show that their big and heavy when in reality they should be quick and nimble and have ion shields to block projectiles , like yes a titan would be cool but why would a titan be on the world its a literal titan meaning there would be a titanicus house out there in the void missing a reaver or even warlord class titan that just wouldnt happen
@@battlebrotherwh40k34 arnt titans relics of the dark age of humanity that cannot be manufactured anymore? Doesn't the imperium find lost artifacts all the time? Surely they don't have a list of every titan ever made and where they are, the imperium record keeping is awful.
@emwZEEK i mean firstly only warmonger and imperator classes cant be made anymore but warhound to warlords can but anyways i get what u was trying to say and yes while the imperium it self is trash at logistics...the adeptus mechanicus isnt they have far less bureaucracy to do ESPECIALLY when it comes to retrieving a whole titan like what would be the backstory of a titan being on the planet if it was from previous colonisation then the world would atleast be pre forge if not full fledged forge world a titan is a physical representation of their god its like a prophet, maybe even their primarch (heresy i know) so the world would have a whole legion based there so where are they now if they had a war with chaos then reports would have been sent out blah blah ive thought about it and its reaaaallly long to explain so long story short i dont like that plot point
Love seeing some Battletech clips during the lore explanations. Big stompy robots in knightly service to feudal like future societies is just good fun no matter what IP it's under. Keep up the good work man always enjoy your breakdowns.
07 I live to serve
Here here. Long time Battletech player. Great universe with done awesome lore.
The only thing they should've done different, is show these knight pilots using the throne mechanicum, and not the hand controls.
24:33 Bro really said what`s good
that punch was more funnier than it was supposed to be.
Also
NOT THE TINY ARMIGER, NOOOOO
3:34
I always enjoy seeing the smile on your face with each breakdown of a Warhammer episode.
23:20 Look! Cameo from Magos Castia-Theta 9! 😅
Gotta love them reused assets
My same thoughts 😂 Ahhh, good old AoD times 🩸
Thx for this breakdown.
I like how at the end the imperial Knights under Geneveve ready themselves and march out to face their nemesis.
The sound of the knights’ cannons could be a bit more powerful but nevertheless a great depiction of this army.
I wished Geneveve would have broken the curse, but then again… it‘s grim 40k.
I feel like they did the armigers dirty in this one because they are helverins, they are equipped with 2 autocannons which can punch quite hard above their weight. These are like rapid fire 50mm cannon but here they might as well be firing stubbers
There is a class forgotten here and mainly because its wxistence is only documented in extreme rarity in 40k, but more in horus heresy.
There is also a class above Dominus called Acastus. The knights themselves push the limits of being able to he piloted by a single man, and nearl match a warhound in size.
Don't forget the Cerastus Knights!
Always enjoy your break downs thanks for the work you do
Omnissiah, grant my steed an under-chin PPC, to smite the enemies of Man near and far, banishing the unclean in a flash of plasma.
I like to think of the knights as the 40k equivalent of forklift certified
Damn man you're quick :D
You can let Warhammer TV know that thanks to your breakdowns I'm buying their subscription next week.
I appreciate your work!

The merging of Battletech lore is super cool. The Gundam UC origin story does a great job portraying how bipedal construction equipment could evolve into mobile suits.
Almost knocked me out with those combos bro! 😎
Most entertaining sponsorship spot I ever seen...who cares about a smooth transition who cares about a add that looks professional I want to see someone make a fool of themselves now that's entertaining thank you man I needed that
Man. Looking at those nice packed lines of enemy armor and zombies I can't help but dream of artillery and airstrikes.
I enjoyed this so much, I'm hoping we get another year as good as 2023 for warhammer+ . I really feel like it could become the next big streaming service if they put more money into shows!
Amazing animation so cool to see so many knight class mechs just Duke it out in a brawl
My head cannon FIRMLY places Battletech in the 40k Universe. The aliens were just, uhm, hiding. Yes, thats it. Dormant! 💥🤪👈
Your videos are the only way i can watch Warhammer and your breakdowns help so much
I live to serve 07
is it me or is the helm she has looks like a fallout 4 mod?
That one scene where the corrupted father points at his daughter with his electroscourge like a finger and challenges her to a duel is raw AF.
GREAT VIDEO!!!
One of my favorite yet!! Keep up your hard work and I LOVE your new bolter! (But you need to invest in Dragons Breath)!
Skaven got announced would you do a breakdown on that ?
Oh yeah. I saw that trailer and it was solid
The intro video where you can see more of that is epic, could you upload more about that fight please?
I gotta say I'm a little disappointed, These knights move more like full size titans. I was under the impression from the novels they are far more agile. There were so many times I thought they would use their Ion shields to deflect attacks but it never happened. My immersion was broken sadly, a good effort though.
and also, whey the pilots need to use buttons and levers if they have a mind connection with their machine.
Yeah, they are more mobile. Just GW animation budget, I expect.
@@okancanarslan3730 Yeah they tried to bring this battletech vibe into it and it's all weird. The knights looked not knightly at all and despite of all the work that went into making this I am disappointed. At least the armigers looked kind of cool
@@arikauraniemi9383
If they are fighting Nurgle isn’t it possible that the plague lord is causing their machines to wear down ? When you look at death guard their gear is visibly corroded
I’d assume that the mere presence of Nurgle forces would break down their enemies bodies and machines
This is true they are hooked into the Throne Mechanicum
@@okancanarslan3730
I just think that the Imperial knights were going out to to meet, the swarm of Nurgle. 3:55
Also when the knights warden was first encountering, the Knight Abominatus was the coolest.
4:40 what a mark of honor to pilot.
This was SO fucking dope Connor. Damn 07 homie. ill be rewatching this one a few times.
That all being said, why didnt any of them simply stop fucking. no more blood heirs no more curse. Hold a genetic "lottery" with the babies of the planet, find the single most genetically strong person with the highest machine spirit compatibility. Announce that the winner of this lottery is going to be adopted into the royal family, marry into another knight house with that adopted heir. Boom no curse and two Great Knight Houses are bonded in marriage in the light of The Emperor. The new genes would strengthen both Houses and the future of the combined House.
I like how they just be killing each other and no one asks questions.
😂 Are you going to ask Richard III about what happened to the heirs to the crown?😏
Yeah lol the queen lady told her she killed her father and she looked mildly annoyed by it, then when she fought the father she loved so much she didn't even say much or hesitate to blow him to kingdom come. Idk she feels emotionally stunted as a character, the almost emotionless voice acting they did for her doesn't help either
@@ironduke5058 nah not them I mean everyone else in court. Like the lady and the former king went out together, she comes back telling everyone the king was killed by a beast with a giant melta burn threw the chassis of the knight, but no one asks questions so she just became queen. And then this chick stabs the queen, goes out tells everyone that she's dead and NO ONE asks how she died. It's like they are just shrugged their shoulders and said "fuck it, w/e"
@@redrumssam5888 Yea that too. I was expecting her to kill him in some kind of elaborate or interesting way to make it seem like a beast did it but nah, straight melta through the back lmao
Reading the Siege of Terra series now and this was awesome after reading Mortis
Someone needs to turn their alerts off 😅
Great video man, it's always a good day when I see you've uploaded. Stay awesome!
My only critique is the weapons don't have that audible punch as they should. The armigers are shooting large caliber autocannons and should sound heavy, and not like little machine guns.
Keep em coming bro warhammer tv won’t work for me but I still got yo channel 🤣
Praise for the lore master?!
Brilliant breakdown as always, thank you! Such a shame on the amination side, though. I was really hoping for some "oomph" with this short but nahhh
This makes me really want to go buy a knight that I’ll probably never paint
a mechwarrior game in 40k is making my mouth water.
As always, in the grim darkness of the future there's only war
This is the BEST BREAKDOWN 40K Channel. Keep on. I'm a big fan. Playing 40K since 1993
07 I live to serve
Not for the Emperor? ;-)
Damn I was born in 93 lol😅
Found your channel today. Earned my sub. Cheers
Right around 23:25 that’s the same female tech priest that was in one of the previous episodes where she turns an imperial guardsman into one of her servitor isn’t it? Either that or they just used the same art they used for that character as a filler in this episode but it was a cool catch nonetheless
Nice breakdown
Im shocked GW would let such a detailed breakdown of the video stand. Happy they have thought.
Hopefully Geneve has the strength to fight the taint of nurgle. Seeing these magnificent giants in action was very appealing would see more of them 💯
This is the best of 40k animation. This is how all videos eoisodes etc should be! The action, voice acting, animation, story telling, detail, especially in the murals, was phenomenal.
My only complaint is they cut the final, killing thermal lance blow too fast. They shouldve let that linger in slow mo.
It wasn’t perfect but I did think it was a solid outing
Its solid, but it fails to represent knights correctly. Knights arent like titans, they arent lumbering and clunky, theyre fast, agile, and capable of impressive maneuvers. There's also the fact that the princeps pilot them with levers and switches, while they should actually be connected to the knight, piloting them like its their own body
@@BrotherGS her face looked weird to me, no one else also thinks so?
Long time viewer. I absolutely love your reviews and breakdowns. There are a number of music videos as a backdrop to Warhammer 40K (Thunderstruck, Welcome to the Jungle, etc). I am curious on how you would review these?
You can email some to me and I’ll see if I can do it somehow
ua-cam.com/video/_gYiIwn5lMI/v-deo.html&start_radio=1
ua-cam.com/video/RX0PTsiQlZU/v-deo.html
These animations are definitely not what i would expect for a knight as far as mobility. Hopefully we get more organic movement in future media.
This was sick!
This is awesome, just wish they put a tad bit more in sound design
I want to see the house of Malinax in action so badly! Their rise to their prime, their fall to chaos, what happened after they fled into the void, any of it would be my favorite faction come to life on screen.
I guess those DEI boxes were checked at Warhammer tv as well ! 🤦🏽♂️
GREAT show as always!
07
That. That was awesome !
Thank you again for these breakdowns. It's wonderful to see the talent, creativity, and attention to detail these creators have that isn't always visible to someone like me that is not a subscriber to this digital channel. They absolutely deserve this attention and encouragement that games workshop may not be providing.
Oh my gosh, what is up with the facial animation?! it's got that uncanny valley AI feeling about it, no lip syncing, not even close.
I know they use different teams but you'd think they would hold things to a specific standard.
Because at the moment, there's just this inconsistency of hit's and misses. :(
Her face is not woman, it's like an inbetween and it confuses me.
You think we’ll be able to operate one of these in the new game coming out in November?
Breakdown, break lance and... break @$$ 😎 Totally awesome lore, story, action and commentary! Thank you!!! o7

What is that opening clip from?
From some reason I think Jenovies father lost on purpose to pass the curse on. As the deamons promised. They wouldn't kill all.
Just love some mechanical action
If i could be anything in Warhammer it would be a imperial knight pilot, they have everything i like honor, courage and more importantly Giant mechs and overwhelming firepower.
I really liked Knight World lore, it seemed like it was one of the few places that didn't totally suck.
@@Counterpoints truth brother also good luck on the bolter
Damn, GW really pulling a "Are we the baddies?" paired with "Always have been" with Sigmar and now the Knights.
Interesting warhammer in the background, who sells that one?
Youre quite fit as a dad man. Once a marine always a marine. Great job
07
Transmission *Break thy shakles! Embrace the Power of eight!*
by the way ty for showing us these i relly liked this one is it same guy who did hellreach?
Its Lost Legion Studios so the same guys who did Exodite.
I have been eagerly awaiting for this video like a fat kid awaiting his birthday cake. Emperor protects.
Curious to see technopriests that means that planet and that Imperial knight house isnt forgotten by the Imperium.
Awesome!
16:33 Charlie's mis input
Dude you awesome. You designed a what let see 😍😂👍
I would love an Imperial Knight game.
A chain sword would be lit
the knights are so tired they moved like their grands the titans 🤣
Don’t titans have void shields? Kinda odd they didn’t add that bit of lore to this
These aren’t titans. They’re knights. They have ion shields which have to be oriented towards the shot to work
It seems to me that the god we all know, like you says at 20:00, did exist inb the 40k univers.
But i remenber that the emperor maked all religions dissapear before the great crusade.
I even remender the part when he has to kill the last "priest".
But not shure of all that of course, didn't read any books, just watching video of 40k.
I know it's grimdark but god damn its too dark.. wish we could see the knights fight in better lighting
Nice use of battletech universe content for illustration ;)
Me a gustado el video . Saludos desde Sevilla España
Praise be to space king. Praise be to you.
man the magos from the blood angels show sure loves being in places where the battle is a losing one
When will the second episode come out? If there is any…
No idea. Every time they release a “this week in Warhammer” I comment about animations and they don’t respond
Dude i commented on one of your videos before an I'm not sure If you saw it but I like your content an you seem like a cool dude so I want to reiterate wat i said before, If you live in the U.S.A making custom or modified guns is a federal offense unless you are a licensed firearms manufacturer with all the permits
1) I’m not modifying the guns I’m making furniture that goes on top 2) feel free to list the statute
A lot of battletech artwork you used there
YaY, I love me some Battletech 40K ;)
I feel like a company of abrahams would drop these things from like 2500 meters.
Thus the shields and wierd scifi radar
Thanks for the glimpse! Reinforces why Im probably never going to sub for Warhammer+. This animation has too much screen shaking. Also no effects with the chainsword or powerfist, gatling cannons not rotating. It's obvious the people who animate this aren't great. Although it would be good for a fan animation, as a monthly sub payment to a company, not great and not worth.
While I liked the cinematography of this, the biggest let down is the lack of weight and umph in the combat and impact of the knights weapons.
