  • In this Lesson you will hear a simple Czech conversation for beginners. You will also meet two guests, Yaros and Lucie. I will have a formal Czech conversation with Yaros and an informal Czech conversation with Lucie. In this Czech conversation for beginners you will hear how Lucie & Yaros introduce themselves & speak about where they are from and what they do. In the next Lesson 8, you will learn the rules for how to do this yourself.

    I definitely love the guessing exercise! Coming from someone who has already learned around 3 other foreign languages, its so awesome drawing comparisons to other languages and getting to use vocabulary from the start without fully grasping the literary contxt! Ty! I leave for Prague in a few days. Hoping to impress some locals and our tour guides!

    Learning Czech is so easy with you, I have been trying to get a good teacher and finally found one. I love the way you make us practice during the video only. My czech has improved so much, I instantly know the translations in english and the grammar part too. Though its easier to read than listen, that will come with practice I am sure. I am from India planning to come to Czech soon, I hope to someday run into you. Thank you!

    Your all videos are very clear and interactive, I love it.🥰
    All the UA-camrs are explaining words but not teaching alphabet A, B, C, D You taught us vowels and pronunciation but not alphabets, Kindly make a video on the alphabet and there pronunciation because that is the first step.

    Děkuju, Kateřina! The exercise went well for me, only I wondered why it is "Jsem ze Španělska" in formal and "Jsem z České republiky" in informal. So "ze" versus "z". I guess it has something to do with the name of country and not with the formal/informal grammar. Am I right?
    By the way, I like that "prosím" has both the meaning of "please" and "here you go" - it is the same in my language. : )

    • @CzechWithKaterina
      @CzechWithKaterina  3 роки тому +1

      super! Mám pro tebe hned první gramatický typ. Dávej si pozor na rozdíl český (Czech as an adjective - český kamarád, český produkt, český jazyk) X česky (Czech as an adverb - rozumím česky, mluvím česky). Výslovnost dlouhá nebo krátká je rozdíl. Každý Čech hned slyší rozdíl.

    You are speaking fastly, please slowly and repeat again. Thank you 👏

    • @CzechWithKaterina
      @CzechWithKaterina  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks for the feedback. Is that a problem of just some specific exercise or generally? If this video is too fast for you in general, UA-cam has (in the bottom right corner) possibility to slow down as much as you would like. I think it should be pretty straight forward how to slow it down. Let me know if you found how to do this.

    • @Pidalin
      @Pidalin 2 роки тому

      Super slow speaking is actually worse to understand than vice versa, because before sentence is finished, you forget what was sentence about. But yes, Czech is more fast langauge compared to for example English, but still much slower than Polish. In English you have some sounds which can't be pronounced fastly and still understandable, that's why English speakers developed things like "wanna, gonna, gotta" and milion other shortened phrases, Czech langauges doesn't have this problem, we can just speak more fast generaly.
