This brought back memories and all of them good. This is one of my favorite Zep songs. Their first three albums were just off the hook. Young rock musicians should look to them as an example of how to do it. When I got the notification I was talking to my mom and went "Bye! Led Zep reaction. I'll call you back" I had the whole grinning, playing air drums and mouthing the words thing going on.
jarhead4ever1 Zep 3 was the first 8 track that my Brother and I literally wore out. When the levee breaks is a phenomenal remake of a 1927 blues duo song about the devestating flood of the same year that decimated 7 states. I believe it's by Memphis Milliy and Topeka Joe. Check out the history of the song Gallows Pole. It goes back to I think the 15 century in poetry form and numerous reinventions since then. I was watching a 1950s western and I saw a "Spanish " women playing guitar and singing Gallows Pole. I was like say what! So I researched ita few years ago and that's how I found out. I love the New Animals. ..uh I mean LZ. The second 8 track we wore out was Ten Years After a space in time. Check out the above info. You'll be duly enriched! 60's and 70s was great time to grow up musically. Peace, love and hope.
Heh. Interesting about Gallows Pole, Stephen; i'll need to hunt that Spanish version myself, now. BTW, it was Memphis Minnie and the New Yardbirds.... m.ua-cam.com/video/e4zW1BJNe7Q/v-deo.html

The live version from The Song Remains the same brings me to tears of joy every time.
Literally tears of passion. Most passionate song of all time.
Woah.. Exactly! I pretty much cry every time LOL. Song Remains the Same version is beyond explanation
Page’s solo gives chills
If you want to listen to an incredible live version of The Song Remains The Same live, listen to the “Listen to this Eddie” concert. You can find it on UA-cam.
That's what missing in today's music. Levels / shades / quiet and explosion.
Exactly Dynamics. Everything is compressed to death.
Not classic rock/blues, BUT give the new TOOL album a shot: "Fear Inoculum". Immersive, soundscapey rock
And eargasms! Lol
Sad eh! Everything these days has to be instant ... wham .. and gone. Difficult to name new artists around now that will be still listened to in 10yrs never mind 20, 30, 40 etc.
And real, raw emotion
Ladies and Gentleman ..... That's how it's done. Love your reaction.....ROCK ON...
No one slays the blues like Zeppelin.
This is definitely one of Zep's top songs, but you could say that about so many of their songs that it's a bit hard to comprehend.
Also listen to no quarter -Tsrts version live. Jimmys 🎸 will scream on another level
The lead features one of the most tear-jerking moments in rock and roll...
Yea Bro, this is sick!! Led Zeppelin Greatest Rock Band Ever!! Everything they put out is amazing! They are on a totally different level. You can’t go wrong playing Led Zeppelin
Perfect reaction, there are no words. Led Zeppelin is puuurrrfection!
I always thought that Tina Turner should done a version of this. She would have absolutely killed it.
Maybe, but you can't top the original studio version.
Nah She could never pull this off. She might have a great voice but Robert is the only one for this one.
No shit
Even when Jimmy's just picking chords under Robert's vocals - still just sublimely expressive. His soft playing is just as killer as his loud playing, if not more so....
Yep. Here you go - here's your membership card. Welcome to the club. We meet weekly. Go ahead and and just let yourself fall into it. Don't fight it. We are a support group for what Zeppelin does to the soul. I hope you have your seat belt on.

@@ScalinoCorleone the meeting really never stop
Same lol
I had to stop and sign-in just to tell you how much I enjoyed and appreciate this comment! Hahaha. Hope you have an awesome day, week, month, life.
@@igotsomespace 😂👍
I've listened to this song 1000's of times and I still get the same reaction.
Unquestionably the greatest blues song ever recorded.
John Paul Jones is my favorite member of Led. Dude does NOT get enough credit for his talent because of how much Page, Plant, and Bonham overshadow, but he is hands down one of the greatest bassist and organists of all time.
Also, I don't think enough credit is given to how damn HEAVY they come in after the guitar solo. Those drums beat your skull in they are so heavy...
Adam...fans of Zep "see" Jonesy. Each of these guys are one quarter of the whole of Zep.
@@troyc4250 you'd be surprised how many fans forget JPJ
@@stuckey47 then they're not true fans...there is no Zep without any one of these 4 masters!!
Amen!!! 🙌🏽
Yes, the greatest rock singer(Mercury has his own category), greatest band guitarist, and greatest rock drummer of all time overshadow arguably the most influential bassist of all rock history...
“That organ that comes out right before the offering” - lol Best comment!
I thought he’d not mention the organ. John Paul Jones adds a real wistfulness to the song, almost without notice.
I remember listening to this song for the first time (a few months ago) and I can honestly say I was in trance or something. I could not believe something so perfect existed. It seems like I'm overreacting but I do believe this is a perfect song.
You would be correct...perfection in every way!
John Paul Jones absolutely amazing on the organ...you do realise he's playing the bass with his feet? Unbelievable.
Bas pedals, there's a big difference but still very impressive
Just goes to show you that great music still stands tall and strong today! Led Zeppelin, best band ever!!!!!!!!

"Led Zeppelin" ~ GODS OF ROCK!!!
Plain and simple. 🎵🎤🎸🎶⚡
Nothing more... nothing less.
Blessed be! CHEERS! 🍻✌
Stank face MAXIMUS 🤣😂🤣 love it! +1 on When the levee breaks!
"Stink-face Maximus" is the greatest thing i've heard. Thank you for loving my favorite like i do. I've listened to this song hundreds of times and it still hits me hard like that. 🍻
Me as well Sean!
My BEST band ever..... just magical.......
That guitar work still can bring tears to my eyes after all these years
Zeppelin was always at their best when playing the blues.
It's a shamanic experience, listening to Led Zeppelin ... been loving them since age 14 ... your reaction was a gift to behold :)
How can 74 idiots , put a thumbs down to this MASTERPIECE ????
They are probably boy George fans. .. or just plain have no soul.
It's up to 101 idiots now!! 🙄
too funny..
109 NOW!
The guitar solo will make you cry.
🤣🤣🤣
I'm so glad you like Led Zeppelin the best band ever! Check out Kennedy Center honors for them! It's great!
This is the song that took apart and re-glued my head. Grateful ever since. That guitar has it's own lyrics, it sings straight into your soul.
Im legit jealous. Do dazed and confused or when the levee breaks
jarhead4ever1 Zep 3 was the first 8 track that my Brother and I literally wore out.
Both are amazing but I fucking love when the levee breaks. If your body doesn’t move when that song is playing you’re a broken soul
Heh. Interesting about Gallows Pole, Stephen; i'll need to hunt that Spanish version myself, now. BTW, it was Memphis Minnie and the New Yardbirds.... m.ua-cam.com/video/e4zW1BJNe7Q/v-deo.html
@@stephenspero3201 Yes ! He should do Gallows Pole! Intense !
Dazed And Confused!
Lord let me tell you.....I'm addicted to this phenomenal song and all of Led Zeppelin sounds and Robert's fantastic vocals. ❤
"Stankface maximus!" LOL! Those opening notes are just so damn tasty!
